Truefax. I don't know if Ashley or Shepard are that happy if their kids join the army. Sure, they're both die-hard soldiers, but do they really wanna see their kids in constant danger? Lets say, they'll accept their wish to join the Alliance military and support them, they won't ever allow them to become N7, SPECTRES, you name it. Because normal military duty comes with far less dangers to die than being part of said special forces.

About Ash & Shep being parents, am I the only one who thinks they wouldn't bully their kids into doing something? Well maybe into writing poetry..
They might be concerned about the kid from time to time and a little pushy perhaps, but I think that they both would like their kids to do what they (the kids) want to do in the end.

Nope. I think that too. Their children will have the freedom to choose their careers. As long as they don't end as thugs and mercenaries, Ash & Shep will be fine. However, they'll tell their kids not to go for a Spectre career - not everyone can become one and it's extremely dangerous duty.

@Reed; Browsing through the comments I got the feeling a lot of people were thinking they'd either push their kids towards joining the Alliance or into something less dangerous. So I wondered if anyone think they wouldn't.
Also Data I don't think they would not let them try and join the Spectres, they'd warn them about it, but if the kid really wants it and is up to it, they wouldn't take away his dream I think.

I wonder would Ash try and raise them in family traditions?Their kid's first words will be "Oh captain"..

I don't think Ash and Shep would force their kid to do anything. For the most part, I think they would try to give their kid the best, foundation as possible. But I do think Ash would go on about the "In the blood thing" you're a williams blah, blah. She'd make sure that kid knew its roots. And I think at least one of her kids would keep up the long tradition of serving. IMO, Ash would be extremely disappointed that it would end at her line. Especially after she tried so hard to redeem it.
