you're saying it like the writers have static characters. None of the characters, even Shepard who's a blank slate left for the players, isn't static. granted some are developed better than others but there's development nonetheless.
I'm not sure if I said that
None of the characters is "static", some got more development, others less. It's more like that: some characters feel "flat", "one-dimensional" or whatever you name it while others seems to have more dimensions. Ash is a good example, could say something similar about Miranda, but not at the same scale. Mordin is the one who tops most of the characters, maybe even got the most interesting character development. Lets say, Mordin is just cool and one of the guys I really don't wanna lose.
Maybe I should start to review any characters and add some background to them if needed. Maybe one day.
BTW: you seem to have something for ripped women ^^
Too bad that's not my taste ... I like more soft skin. However, an athletic woman is just sexy, and Ash is ... more athletic than muscular in my imagination.

I do imagine her as less ripped too, but her being a little muscular makes sense, since she is a soldier and doesn't have to rely on agility as much as, say, a biotic.CptData wrote...

indeed she does
A bit of a cruel (to Ash) question, but an interesting one too I think: Suppose Ash had to choose to save either a Shepard she loves or one of her sisters, a lá Virmire, who would she choose? (keeping in mind Shepard is probably a more important person in the battle agains the Reapers.)

You are looking for the daughter of Saren's second in command to hopefully find out their plans and/or where Saren is or is going.
You HAVE to go to Therum or you CAN NOT complete the game. That alone, makes it part of the story.

You know who also ahve to get to complete a game? Legion. but Oh no that's a side mission. It's the same damn thing.xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...

You don't need a main villian to have a main story mission. Legion's recruitment mission is the IFF mission. It is part of the main story as well. Who said it wasn't? O.o

Honestly, I think she'd save Shepard.
I mean, he is the one that apparently has to save the galaxy and I think Ash would realize he's the galaxy's best shot and it's more important to make sure he makes it out of that situation alive. Being the family person she is... would only help this decision, I would think. She may think about it like this:
If she sacrifices her sister to save Shepard, she'd think of how many other innocent families won't have to go through losing their sisters if Shepard does, infact, save the galaxy. If he dies, they may not even have the chance to save anyone.
Or something like that. lol

Save Shepard? Is that why she *Spoiler* at him? Over *spoiler*?
BioWare messed up, and that whole situation in ME3 is messed up. So much wrong with it.
Miranda would save her sister over Shepard and the galaxy. But I don't think Ash would do the same.

I don't see Miranda and Ash getting along at all. The whole Cerberus/Alliance issue nonwithstanding both Ash and Miri are strong-willed individuals, neither of them are willing to back down when challeged. I can however see them having a grudging respect for eachother depending on how the story works out.

Depends how Miranda's stance on Cerberus might have changed after the collector base thing. In the end both are fighting for humanity, that is what they have in common and it's rather important to both their characters. If Miranda does break with Cerberus completely, there might be a chance that they actually get along quite well after some time.
I always loved stories where alliances do shift and people formerly on opposing sides start to like each other or the other way round.

I concur. However, there are two techniques how to place a fist in someone's face: either by brute strength or by "focused strength" (like in most of those asian martial arts realized). Somehow I think Ash prefers "focused strength" over sheer power. That doesn't require too much muscles, just the knowledge how to focus on a certain point. Don't ask me more, I'm not doing martial artsADLegend21 wrote...

Ash saves both, but sacrifices her own life by doing so. That is Ashley like she works for me ^^Aurora313 wrote...

I think you got me wrong entirely. You don't need Legion - you can sell it to Cerberus, if you want. You don't need a specialist to hack the door, but if you don't have one, you'll sustain casulties. You also don't need a "perfect" biotic for the dome - but if you pick Miranda instead of Samara, Morinth or Jack, you'll lose one of your squadmates.
To get through the SM you need - and that's just my opinion:
- One "perfect" Biotic (Samara)
- One "perfect" Tech (Tali)
- Two characters with high defensive value (Thane, Garrus)
- One "perfect" Leader (Garrus)
- Some guys to pick from.
My "roster" consists of these eight:
- Samara (primary for the dome)
- Miranda (secondary for the dome, leader)
- Tali (primary for hacking)
- Anyone else (secondary for hacking)
- Garrus (leader, defender)
- Thane (defender)
- Mordin (escort for crew)
- Jacob (secondary for the dome, leader, defender)
- Legion (primary for hacking, defender)
Not needed:
- Jack
- Grunt
- Kasumi (DLC)
- Zaeed (DLC)
You still have the freedom to pick your characters. The only exception is biotic for the dome - only Samara can create the dome and keep it active. The writers could give Miranda the ability to keep the dome active as long as needed (so none of your squadmates get lost) and you'll have two primary biotics for the dome.
More than two primary biotics, two primary techs and two leaders plus two other guys are not needed for the SM. It's all about game design & writing. 8 work as well as 10 (12).

Anderson: The Reapers are gone. Destroyed, By Shepard nearly four years go. The Normandy? It's junked, decommissioned. It can't even be salvaged, it'd be easier just to start build another one from scratch.
Ashley: It'd cost less too.
Anderson: I need your help, James, Ashley.
Vega: Anything, Sir.
Anderson: The entire galaxy is going to be plunged into a war. Between the new Empire and the Halcyon Confederate.
Ashley: Let me guess, with the galaxy falling to pieces, our job is to find the one person who can put it back together?
Anderson: Yes.
Vega: Searching the entire Terminus for one man. Needle in a haystack much.
Ashley: Shepard's a ghost. If he doesn't want to be found, then he won't be.
Vega: She's got a point, sir.
Anderson: Even ghosts have haunts.
Ashley: So you want us to find his haunt.
Anderson: Yes. And I'm also assigning someone else to this as well.
Ashley: Who?

Ashley: *flatly* F*ck.

I said you just need to get Legion on your shi at the very least. Legion out classes Tali as a hcker because
he's thousands of AI while she's organic, plus he's an excellent sniper and did I mention he's an AI. You also don't need Liara beyond saying 'Ilos!" she makes a point in saying until that you've gained no ground.
Hell why do you need a tam anyway no one remembers them it's always 'Shepard saved the galaxy!' who needs a team let's scarp all the characters and give shepard all th answers for three. Sorry eveeryone Ashely tread's closed now kthnxbai

i suspect one of the reasons BW decided to make her spectre was to try dispell alot of those racism accusations because why would she become a spectre if she hates aliens or maybe she just listens to the human couclior, who knows theres very little infomation to go on. but what i have read and seen seems to suggest that.
i don't think she racist she maybe boarder line cause there was a few things she said i had a issue with but i certainly understand her distrust towards aliens. at least she wouldn't join the Terra firma party or Cerberus if she is was.
i really hope she gets the attention she deserves i trust BW on making that happen but i also understand you can't make everyone happy to.
Ash was my first romance option through my first play through in ME and i stay faithful to her in ME2 despite the cold shoulder on Horizon cause i commit and she will be my first to complete my romance conculsion in ME3.
what makes me think she is a great soldier is because she's got that drive to be the best unfortunely really it had to be because of the whole black listed thing. i don't know about you guys but i knew she was destined to become a spectre or and Admiral.
my only critcism would be that i think she shouldn't be to trustful towards the alliance because of the whole Grandfather thing, i wouldn't trust the them completely considering.
i liked the whole tomboy look makes her hot even though i do think her new look is also awesome to. and i also love the whole strong women thing going but also the sensitive side to which we saw that side of her in ME1, i hope we see more depth to her in ME3.
and that's all i can think of atm i will let you guys know

Retour en haut
