Because of those flaws, that's why I like Ash. She feels...real. And Kaidan does too, but Ashley more so. Guess that's why I love those characters. Liara is the third favourite. But I still don't like the plot armor. The only reason I want to kill Liara off is because I can't. Lol. Truth.

Trufax. If there's a scene where Liara -can- die but I can save her without sacrificing another character, I'll save her. It depends on the character I have to sacrifice - if it's a not-so-important character, I'll sacrifice him or her to save Liara. If it's the VS ... no comment here. Seriously. I won't sacrifice Ashley for anyone. :innocent:

i love both liara and Ash equally it doesn't phase me if the you have to decide ether one cause i got my other play through for the other one

Actually, it will probably phase me. Well... Only if it's well done. Which I suspect it will be. But if i'm torn between saving Ash over anyone else...I will save Ash, no question. Just because BioWare are so unfair to the VS.

And thats the beauty of Mass effect, Multiable play throughs. One where you keep Ashley safe and one where you keep Liara safe. Unfortunatly for Keidan in my play thoughs he's never gets past Virmire. Sorry Keidan. But I feel the same with most of the ME2 squad if they don't make it then they don't make it. I'll be happy just to have the old ME1 squad back.

Scratch the last one and we have the same idea. I'm going to save Ash because my Shepard "wants to make her happy" and that's a good thing. I'm not sure if I'm going to do a playthrough where I plan to sacrifice Ashley at any given point - I don't know yet. However, I think I'll try a playthrough without romancing her just to see how things play out if not romanced.

I really cba replaying a game over and over again just to get tiny changes like romances. That's what youtube is for. I just cba putting that kind of time into it. So I'll probably save Ash thru all my playthrus. Which is like 3.

I read the me3 spoilers for kaidan and had to make up a fem shep for him. For the first time ever!
I have three playthroughs. Two Ashley faithful and one Liara and Miranda (Can't see myself doing that one.)

But yeah. I want to romance Kaidan in me3 and have my femshep hump him like a ho.

Look, the important thing to remember Mega is that even if Bioware is being crap to the VS, you can still romance them. I've read a few of the dialogues on the spoiler group and while I'm still saddened about how this all pans out, if I can ultimatley keep Ashley alive and romance her... that's enough for me.
After all, some people don't even get that. Don't think that I don't share your pain (I do, I spent my whole day at work in a mixture of sadness and rage at the thought of it) but I'm just sick of being sad when there is still a chance to be happy about it.
I want to remain hopeful and look on the positives, I still love Ash and I will be able to romance her. That's all I need, even if it has to come in a way that is compromised and damaged... Ash is worth it, and compromise is something I'm pretty used to anyway.

And in the end, what's going to happen? People might b*tch and moan about the VS in Mass Effect 3 but really at the end of the day, that's all it'll be, b*tching. I will have my romance with Ashley and be able to rest comfortably with my happy ending, their attitudes no matter how smug won't have any power over me.

I love Ashley and no matter what, she will be my girl. I feel the same way after Virmire and Horizon and I will feel the same way after Mass Effect 3. I can live with the negative (though I'd much, much rather it not be there at all) if I can have her back as my LI. That's all I need, it might be difficult and there will doubtlessly be negative backlash for years to come but if they want to bag on the VS that's their business... not mine.

I've said it numerous times that if the haters must have their fun, I'm fine with that if I get to have mine. By the sounds of things I'll be able to do just that, so I'm going to look forward with a smile.

In fact, I'll even make my opinion on this whole thing into a dialogue:

Just after the Reapers were defeated.

Ashley: Hey, Skipper?
Shepard: Yes Ash?
Ashley: Can you hear a bunch of people on a forum talking in a negative way about me?
Shepard: Why yes, I can. Does it bother you?
Ashley: Nah, I was just checking if it bothered you.
Shepard: Not a chance, let them freely express their opinions, they are perfectly within their right to. I'm exactly where I want to be right now.
Ashley: Yeah, screw 'em.
Shepard: Be nice, Ash.

Ash is simply ... love. 'nuff said. That's a woman I couldn't talk in R/L to, but in ME I can. She's fascinating.
