Again to these people above, I like Ashley and I don't think she is ugly, but her design in ME 2 was bad, and in ME 2 she was ugly,

You really should start to practice reading and interpreting before calling anyone troll or bratty child.

I'm going to explain to you why you put people off with your post and then I'm dropping this so we don't get too far off topic.

1. You came off as insulting the pictures that were posted, which could sound like you were insulting the people that made them.
2. You called Ashley ugly.
3. You said she wasn't a tough female (or however you put it) when that is actually exactly what her character is and the reason most people like her.
4. You said you hate her pink armor.
Etc.

And while these may be fine opinions per se, saying these things in the way you did is very antagonistic.  There are ways to say things and ways to not say things.  I suggest you learn how to say things without ruffling everyone's feathers in a fan thread where you are fully aware saying things like this is going to get a negative response.

Now, let's commence with the Ash-ing please.  ^_^

Sorry, but Ashley in this picture is really bad.

In the very first moment I saw Ashley in Mass Effect 2 I thought there was something wrong. I mean, she got ugly and older.

In Mass Effect 2 the characters design got a superb level, but Ashley got worst than in ME 1.

I'm glad that Bioware fixed everything and she's got really nice in ME 3. I also hate those pictures where she is as a boxer. I never saw Ashley as this tough women as some people picture her. In fact her design in ME 3 seems more appropriate to her character ( sexually aggressive, defiant ) than those she used back in ME 1 and 2, whe she was dressed like a soldier from Spacey East Germany.

I also hates this pink armor.

In the first moment I saw Ashley and her new look months ago in Game Informer, I realized I made a big mistake cheating her with Miranda, and played again and stayed loyal.

So you regret cheating on her in ME 2 because now she's more attractive?

That's romance for ya<_<

In a game, definitely.

You know what, I think you should stick with Miranda.<_<

Or possibly try Jacob. You two would have a lot in common.:wizard:

and if Ash is a Spectre.... how come she's a Leuteniant?

She was still an Operations Chief (think Sergeant Major) in ME2 and a year later she's probably a Second Lieutenant. Fought her way to the top enlisted rank and now she's gonna do the same with the officers. Gotta love that fire:wub:

Now now, let's not start a "Well I stayed loyal so nyah" fight. I've cheated on every romance option just to see what happens in my game. I love them, but we must be reminded that it's a game. So no attacking each other plz. Ash would be disappoint.

She doesn't really strike me as the type, especially with all her work responsibilities.  But I could see her going through drinking too much when she got off work phase for awhile after Shepard died.

Well if she is drunk all the time, here's hoping she can still work her weapon properly.  =]

The entire Deus ex Machina device has been hiding in her hair all along. The writers will bring it out if they write themselves into a corner. :)

I knoooow!

but haters are gonna hate, right?

I'd just like to point out that most of us that were upset about her new look, were indeed Ash fans, NOT haters! We were concerned about changes to her character... as when you change a character's look so drastically and put her in the type of "armor" that she wouldn't consider wearing EVER... who knows what else could have been changed regarding her. I was especially fearful for her personally.

I have more hope now that it's been confirmed that she will be able to wear actual armor and a helmet in ME3.

This post pretty much explains Ashley to me in ME3:

So, yeah, I'm a supporter...:D

I love Ash <3, she's one of my favorite characters of all time. I think I have a right to be afraid of what they may or may not have done to her!!

Anyway.....

SUPPORT! lol

I like change. Change is good (usually). I'm excited to see where they took her character. I have faith they'll do her justice. I can give Bioware enough credit not to assassinate her character.

But I'm not expecting her to be the same. She shouldn't be. Not really, not with all she's experienced in the last couple years. That would be boring. Under the surface I'm sure she's still the Ashley Williams we all totally love, but I'm stoked to see what new layers exist for us to uncover.

Total supporter here! Ash was one of the characters (If not THE character) that made the first Mass Effect for me. Was disappointed that she didn't play a bigger role in the sequel but I can understand why they opted to leave her out of the story for the most part. Stayed loyal throughout however and am looking forward to seeing the reunion in ME3. Bring on March 2012!

I concur. I don't expect the same Ash from ME1, and I fully expect Bioware to do her justice since they made sure to make her unkillable in ME2 if she was alive. So they must have something big planned for her.Posted Image I think after saying it so much they know Ash is worth it.Posted Image

If you're going to be talking about interpretting things.... maybe you need to go back and interpret Ashley's character better.... just sayin b/c .... I hate to break it to you, she IS a tough woman that can stand on her own and knows what she wants. Obviously you didn't pay any attention to anything she said in ME1...

and you realized you made a mistake AFTER you saw her redesign....

well, I guess, +1 to Bioware for calling it. (new fans for Ash b/c of the new look) *shakes head*

People can like or dislike Ash for whatever reasons they want, including her new look.  And that can be the only reason.  Of course she's gonna get more attention from fans, especially new ones who maybe didn't play the first game.  That was probably one of the points of her redesign.  And whatever.  That's cool.   I got my reasons, that's all I care about.  To each their own.

I wish I had your optimism. Though what is that Ashley said to Shepard? "A pessimist is what an optimist calls a realist."?
