One thing I have noticed with Ashley in ME2 after you save Horizion, She is constantly Crosseyed. Did the collectors drop her on her head or something?

Shepard: Ash ... *cough* ...
Ashley: Skipper - stay with me.
Shepard: *cough* ... wish I could. Here we are ... at the end of all things ... *moans*
Ashley: Skip, the Normandy will be here any minute. Don't dare to leave me!
Shepard: Aye ... Ma'am ...
Ashley: Chakwas will patch you together and you'll be my captain again ...
Shepard: ... optimist ... *tries to smile*
Ashley: I know you can make it. You can't go now ... I need you.
Shepard: ... Ash ... I'm going to miss you ...
Ashley: John ...

Okay, I need to make up for my rather short and not-so-awesome dialogue ...

Joker told me Shepard is dead. I still can't believe it. No "Skipper" anymore, no kisses in the morning, no long talks in the night anymore. The past weeks since Ilos had been the most perfect time fore me, and now ... ? I feel like a soldier that got shredded by explosives ... pain everywhere, unable to move ... unable to feel parts of myself.
Six months ago I would have called one an idiot when telling me I would fall in love with a man like Shepard. With him I felt complete ... without him, I don't know what I should do tomorrow.

I'm still a bit dry ... no new ideas. Damnit.

Oh I missed it, great dialogue!  A brief summary of my thoughts during reading it would be this:

Ashley: Shepard why have we entered orbit of this planet. I thought we where on our way to Illium.
Shepard: I'm meeting one of my contacts. They've been gathering information on the reapers for months.
Ashley: Who is it, I didn't see anything in your reports or the ships logs.
Shepard: I erased the ships logs for security reasons.
Ashley: Why didn't you tell me? Don't you trust me.
Shepard: I was going to tell you once we reached the facility. You'll understand why when we get there
Ashley: We're going alone, just you and me?
Shepard: What's a matter don't you trust me? *Smiles* Come on.
 
*20 minutes later the shuttle lands at the classified facility. The shuttle door opens to reveal someone waiting to
greet Ashley and Shepard*
 
Shepard: Ah Feron, You're looking a lot better than last time I saw you.
Feron: Thank you Commander I wish the same could be said for Earth
Shepard: We all do. Ashley are you coming?
Ashley: *Thinks to herself I've seen that symbol somewhere before* Yes coming Shepard
 
*The group proceed down the corridor and stop just outside a large door*
 
Ashley: Now I remember what that symbol is THE SHADOW BROKER *Draws her sidearm and points it at
Shepard and Feron*
Shepard: Ashley what the hell are you doing?
Ashley: This is the Shadow Brokers Base. That son of a **** tried to kill me 2 years ago. Your working for him, You Brought me here so he could finish the Job.
Shepard: Feron is that true did the Shadow Broker take out a contract on Ashley.
Feron: According to the files, yes he did but we cancelled it after taking over and restoring operations
Shepard: I'm sorry Ash if I had known I would have told you about this before we arrived.
Ashley: Told me what
Shepard: It's easier to show you this way, If I'm lying you can shoot me I won't stop you
Ashley: You're asking a lot John....... But ok just go nice and slow
 
 *Shepard and Feron walk forward as the door opens with Ashley following behind*
 
Shepard: Ashley Williams I would like you to meet the New Shadow Broker
Ashley: Liara.....how.....why....when
Liara: Shepard helped me to find this base a year ago. We fought the old Shadow broker and after defeating him I took his place.
Ashley: John you took out the Shadow Broker and now you're you're working for Liara
Shepard: No the Shadow Broker works for me
Liara: I wish you would stop calling me that
Ashley: You should of told me, I could have shot you
Shepard: You would never shoot me Ashley, I trust you with my life that's why we are here I don't want there to be any secrets between us. But this secret has to kept between us ok
Ashley: ok John. So Broker what have you got for us *Smiles at Liara*

I'm not sure if that helps me. I do have something in my mind. However, I refuse to post it - there could be spoilery stuff in that dialogue. At least it's extremely plausible something like that might happen at some point in ME3 - and therefore - no.

I just don't know if I should do it.

Hmm, I reduced my daily sleep time to five hours. Still not enough awake time.

And yes, I'm still out of ideas except that one dialogue. I'm not even sure if it comes in one part - or in ten

Joker: And he didn't return after defeating them. Shepard spent another month in space before returning to Earth. He had to destroy a whole system to stop an invasion, sacrificing three hundred thousand lives for a little more time.
Ashley: Shepard told me about that. And I think he had to do this.
Joker: And you still believe he's a traitor.
Ashley: Yes, because he did it for Cerberus, not for the Alliance, not for the Council. That's what I don't get. Why didn't he return right after destroying that base?
Joker: Because he couldn't ... he knew he wasn't  welcome anymore. There was a cell waiting for him, nothing more. He knew that. He couldn't come back because he needed to ensure the job is done.
Shepard: Not right ... not fully right, Jeff. I did it for Ashley.

Yes, well. My doctor told me (he made no bones about it) to sleep more. At one point I was only getting maybe eight hours of sleep per week (inc. Weekends). Not very healthy.

Seriously guys, I hate it when my brain runs dry. Ashley deserves better. Speaking of ... now that we know Ashley loves comics, old SciFi series and is a coffee addict, what kind of traits and flaws can we add to her to make her even more believeable?

Quite frankly, you've made such a number of dialogues that I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.

Actually, it's less a writer's block than the fact Mega sent me some of THE spoilers. They were quite awesome and I'm absolutely confident that we're going to love ME3. Even if it's just a tiny portion ... it convinced me.
However, it also kinda disrupted my mind to churn out new ideas: I do have some, but I can't fully separate them from spoilers.

In short: no writer's block but writer's censorship <_<

Also I think you chose a hard character to 'make more realistic' with Ash...but well you could give her a favorite comic or a favorite superhero, or a favorite sci-fi series or indeed a favorite birthmark on her ass. Nah, scrap that last one..better question: What does Ash put on her pancakes, or her waffles depending which one you prefer.. (that'll be pancakes obviously)

Hey, I don't really blame myself, after all, I asked for it. I just can't fully separate awesome stuff from stuff that could spoil ME3 for you guys. Give me a night, tomorrow everything will be different. I work like that. Whatever sh*t (or good) happens to me, the new day will wash away!

Super Hero: if she has one, then she's either a fan of Superman or Captain America - maybe both.

I'll keep it in mind for tomorrow. Need to do research first ... where and who and about Ash's mom. Maybe I can make a dialogue dealing with that. 


BTW we need that one-armed-bandit for sure. Anyone capable of programming flash? I want an Ash-character-generator

Yep it's getting late. I don't think i've got enough energy left to write another dialogue tonight, but I'm off work tomorrow so I'll have plenty of time to come up with something.
