Wearing light armor is a huge contrdiction to what Ash believes. I remember a certain elevator conversation where she states her opinion quite clearly.

Yeah but that was when she was a gunnery Chief and stuck groundside on backwater colonies. She's since seen the galaxy and served with fleets and become a Spectre. She's grown, now we have to wait and see the extent of her growth.

Ash is turning into Miranda 2.0.
She's there to be eye candy.

I wonder what else is changed about her?
Kaidan a Sentinel wears medium armor while Ash is a Soldier and wears a catsuit.
Its getting harder and harder thinking this is the same Ash I met in ME1. I eally hope Bioware has not yet to shown her main armor

For all we know their roles have switched. As I've said in a previous post, I'm thiking Ashley's become more of  a covert operative with assasinations, undercover assignements, and infiltration missions like Arrival so she's got to be stealthy. Heavy, clunky, and restrictive armor would hinder her in that respect so she's got to be quick, quiet, and hav eher movements not restricted. The outfit has ARMOR PLATES on it similar to light/medium armor from ME1 (she starts the game in Medium armor untul her armor power is leveled up to allow heavy) it looks different because the graphics engine has changed since 2007 and She's changed as well. Kaidan, with his biotics and tech powers, might be more of a front lines guy and a squad leader similar to Shepard who leads ground teams through heavyily guarded places and leads rontal assualts. this gives him a need for more armor protection and better weaponry than a pistol (he's been seen weilding a shotgun) If this change is true then I ahve no problem with ashley having lighter gear to be more efficient and Kaidan ahving heavier gear to stay alive while he leads ground teams against Cebrerus and Husks.

People complained that Kiadan wasn't mainly enough so he gets bigger armor.

Ash was considered too mainly now she's in a skin tight outfit.

I believe its all about making Ash look sexier.   She wears medium armor  on Horizon and all of suddden wears a catsuit that enhances her "assets".

Bioware sees how succesful Miranda as a character was as the leading female NPC and their trying to re-create the success of Miranda onto Ash.

Ash wearing a catsuit is a big contradicticon on her views of combat armor in ME1

Really? There are some people who don't like her though. I was one of them. She is a Cerberus terrorist after all. She seemed so plastic and unreal. Nothing about her appealed to me. She seemed so fake to me.

Just my opinion though.

Go on youtube her romance videos views are over two million no other romacned character is close to her.
The Miranda thread is the fastet growing LI thread.

In ME1 Ash would laugh at Miranda's battle attire but in ME3 she takes tips from Miranda.

If Ash can only wear the catsuit into combat I would like for my Shepard to say "WTF are you wearingPosted Image?".

I will be extremely pissed when Bioware charges us $2 just to give Ash proper armor

But the change in Ash seems too drastic. Way too extreme.

It doesn't seem like Ash anymore at the moment. I hope that I am wrong.

Vasir is a female biotic, but she wears medium armor.  If Ash's catsuit is superior spectre armor, than why does Vasir a highly-succesful and well-connected spectre not wear the same thing.

Miranda is the catalyst for Ashley's new outfit.

Yeah and Vasir is her own person. she's only the Third nonhuman spectre we've seen as the other two were Turians. She was also a Vangaurd who had the charge ability, i doubt light armor would stand up to the force and impact of a bitoic charge so she had extra plating to compensate for the speed and impact. ashley's not a biotic though.

also people are forgetting this is with the COLLECTORS edition. it's not standard and it's OPTIONAL. Casey wouldn't tell a flatout lie about her having more standard armor and it's so far out form the game that all we know is two outfits she wears. This is no time for jumping over bridges and saying Bioware's a bunch of idiots and that your faith is destroyed because of one characters outfit.

Ash is her own person also so why is she wearing something Miranda would wear when Ash would wear something similar to Vasir.

Ash is a frontline soldier and has a "Boomstick"

Just because she becomes Spectre doesn't change her view on light armor. She would take more fire being a Spectre than being ground side patroling a colony so it would make sense that she would upgrade her armor.

Also I realize that this is just the CE edition armor and is optional but we can still debate wether we like the light armor or heavy armor.

I wasn't aware anyone was saying any of those things. They were just saying the outfit looks stupid.

I hope her standard armor isn't similar to the alt. appearance.
I can't take Ash seiours wearing a battledress with thigh high boots

I think medium armour would make most people happy. I really, really hope BioWare give Ash a pair of boots and actual armour in ME3. Hope they're changing this.

thought bioware would be more creative than this for the final epic installment.

its to bright.i think their going for phenoix armor color scheme and the mini skirt and thigh high boots look.

it appears their trying to mix ash's two iconic looks togther.

i don't think Lieutenants get put on the front lines. Lieutenants serve on ships as Kaidan did on the Normandy going on small ops, not holding lines with NCO's planet side as Ashley did as a Gunnery Chief. People are forgetting she's an officer and a Spectre, she's no longer a blacklisted Gunnery Chief that's never served in space.Posted Image

Shepard was pretty active in pew-pew business as a Spectre. So was Saren and Vasir. And Nihilus. Who would need a Spectre doing paperwork

But then Shep and Kaidan both should be in lighter armor than Ash's. Just because she has been promoted doesn't mean she has changed her belief.

Kaidan and an Adept, Engineer, and a leveled down vanguard and inflitrator ALL wear light Armor and are pretty damn Lethal in combat Her opinion could be swayed by seeing how lethal they were and go "Hmm, light armor might not be that bad after all.." She's not static and unchanging.

I really don't think Ashley's choice of armor is her most defining character trait. Maybe somewhat, but I don't exactly think it should be a deal breaker in and of itself.

Picnic on Ontarom. I already have everything planned. First Ash gets to kill the shifty looking cow, then we cut her up together and grill her over open fire. It'll be so romantic!

Her outfit is alright, but I think you guys should start asking for more "sexy heavy armor". Like this, except Heavy.

But she is a soldier not an vangaurd, infiltrator, or anything else. And I realize she is not static character but you are suggesting that she has changed from the badass marine with a boomstick to a stealthy Spectre with a knife. I just can not see Ash's character changing her beliefs on this subject.
