Okay, time for Part IV of Ashley's family. This time Ash & Shepard are visiting Abby in the hospital.

Shepard: You should go first. She's your sister, Ash.
Ashley: We're going both. Abby wants to see you too. She always wondered what kind of guy I like ...
Shepard: Great. But you two should have some time alone.
Ashley: John: I'm not sure if she's even awake. Just come in, okay?
Shepard: Okay.
*both enter room*
Ashley: Hey Abby. How are you?
Abby: Hi sis ... I feel good enough ... who's your Mr. Handsome? Is that John?
Ashley: Yep, that's John. Say "hi" John.
Shepard: Hi. Nice to meet you, Abby.
Abby: Hey - nice to meet you too.
Ashley: So, how are you doing?
Abby: What can I say - went to the office in the city. When I was there the Reapers came. Had no time to leave my office when they hit the building. The next thing I can remember was the face of a German shepherd ... and an injured paramedic. And then they brought me here, to one of the non damaged hospitals.
Ashley: I'm glad they found you, Abby ...
Abby: Glad to be here. Can't imagine mom mourning over me ... she didn't take it well when dad dies, but losing one of her daughters? 
Ashley: Yeah ... parents shouldn't burry their children. Especially not mom. Guess you heard about Lynn?
Abby: Mom told me before she and Sarah visited me. I liked Robert ... "Gunnery Chief Robert Winslow, that's the man of my dreams" Lynn told us when showing that picture of him the first time. I feel bad for her ... he was a wonderful man, and a good friend.
Ashley: I'm sure he was. Never had a chance to learn him knowing. John?
Shepard: Yes, Ash?
Ashley: I may need a few minutes ... sorry Skipper.
Shepard: I'm waiting outside. Do you two need something, coffee, something to eat.
Abby: I'll take a Cappuccino.
Ashley: Ah c'mone, Skip. Coffee of course. Now get lost *smirks*
Shepard: Yes ma'am!

Ashley: *She bolts up ward grabbing a sidearm form under the bed* Reaper! Where?

Shepard: What's the message EDI
EDI: You're scheduled meeting with the council has been moved forward to 07.30hrs.
Shepard: Oh S*it, this is what I get for having a late night.
Ashley: Sucks to be you this morning I get to have another 3 hours sleep before I even think about getting up.
EDI: You also have a message from the Council Commander Williams, They request your presence at the meeting with Shepard. *Shepards starts Creeping over to the shower*
Ashley: Don't take another step John
Shepard: It only takes me 5 minutes, it takes you over a hour most days.
Ashley: I mean it John. Don't destroy all you're hard work from yesterday just to get to the shower first.
Shepard: If I go first then I can go a get you some lovely hot coffee with a fresh croissant with jam and butter.
Ashley: *Walks over to Shepard* Ok you win and John *Grabs Shepard and Kisses him passionately* last night was the best "date" I've ever had.

I agree, there was small mention of what you did with Garrus on his mission, but on the gibbed editor thre was nothing for Ashley or Kaidan. It sort of looks like you ahve to start over with them after not seeing them after 3 years which puts somethings together.

Maybe it doesn't matter in ME3. After all, Ashley (or Kaidan) becomes a Spectre and therefore, should have a minimum of acceptance of aliens, if you were talking about that. I don't think the so called "racism" will show up when Ash is talking.

Since we're already talking about the "gibbed editor" - if you pick the option that prevents the love scene for Ashley, is that relationship still active or not? I heard once the romantic relationship is NOT ended.

I have always been impressed with the way women are portrayed in the ME universe.
I like a strong female charecter, and the ME universe is full of them.
I like the fact that the female charecters, who are soldiers, are dressed like soldiers.
Armor is not supposed to be sexy, it's sopposed to keep your body parts from being blown off.

Bring back the armor from ME1.  Light armor is as "sexy" as it should get.

Well Saren was racist against humans and he was the council's favorite child until shepard exposed him for working with the Reapesr. I guess not all Spectre's have to have Kelly's outlook on things. Also I have no idea about that you ight wanna ask someone who's more adept at gibbed.

Lets point it this way: Saren was a racist towards humans, but he was a Spectre for a long time. Possible he was already one before the Council knew about humans.

Sure, political PoV of every single Spectre doesn't really matter, I just believe the Council won't make someone to a Spectre who's not showing any respect or loyalty. Racism prevents this. Therefore, Ashley's attitude should have shifted from "reserved towards aliens" to "accept aliens".

Whatever.

About the romance thing: isn't it that Ash gives a sexy/hot statement in case Shepard picks the renegade option in the "night before Ilos" scene? Sounds to me as if the physical part of their relationship just got postponed.

There's an entire thread dedicated to her looks going on right now, I think it'd be better to discuss it there at the moment.

Anyway, she will get armour, although we don't know how far in the game. I wouldn't desrcribe her current outfit as armour either, but who says Bioware has designed it as armour and not just a casual outfit she happens to wear when she's at an Alliance base at earth? Maybe she doesn't have to wear it anymore from that  point on, who knows?

Also part V data? Yes please!

About the racism thing, I do agree, although some 'political games' probably kept Saren from getting flak. He did get the job done afterall and maybe the turian councillor didn't want to have the image of Turians take damage. In a human centric council I'd say she could get in, even though she's reserved to aliens and slightly xenophobic, but in a multi species council she would not. Since I don't think she'll have different personalities for the two options I'd conclude she has become less reserved.

Ashley's lack of comfort with aliens had a lot to do with lack of contact with them. I can't see her having any problem working with them in ME3.

Her political opinions probably haven't changed, but she's also a soldier who'd kiss a Turian if so directed by her superiors - which include the Council.

My hands are ok. Just a blister on my left thumb, two of my knuckles and one the back of my right thumb. Nothing too bad, they aren't stinging. Just a little red. Also, I spent yesterday killing russians (Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1+2), so I think that helped a bit to take my mind off the pain.

I can type again, but the bad news? Have to wait til well into the evening. Got a wedding tonight/this afternoon. Who knows, maybe my next Shepley will be a Wedding theme, or a proposal-before-final-battle kind of thing.

But I'm good, I'm still typing. It just looked worse than it actually was (I'll say, my hands were Bright bloody red!)

Ashley: Owie. Owie. Owie.
Shepard: What's up Ash? Why are you...? Oh, bollocks, what happened?
Ashley: Heat sink blew up in my hands. I had gloves on, but still burnt through.
Shepard: Come here. *Takes her to bathroom, runs tap and fills the basin.* Put your hands in. Should take the heat of out it.
Ashley: *blissful sigh* Ah, that's better.
Shepard: Take them out every five minutes to check on them, and add more cool water. I'll head off to get a salve from Chakwas.

Shepard: Love you.
