In my games her favorite is the SR because I give her high explosive ammo X so naturally with the HMWS X sniper she's guarenteed to kill anyhting she hits and envoke some funny reactions due to physics of being hit at high speeds by an explosive bullet. XD

Ash: *pulls trigger and poses as a Geth goes sailing into orbit* You know, I could be a baseball player with moonshots like that.
Shepard: only you Ash. Only you.

^ Edited posting, Brain ;)

Ash -IS- the heavy weapon. And Shepard so totally appreciate it *g*

Okay, it's so awesome, need to repost that "heavy weapon" of Ashley:

Ohh, and she stands ready for weapons audit by Shepard.

The gunnery chief getting a weapon check? Lol, is that role-playing I detect there? Image IPB

I prefer to see Ashley as, not a heavy weapon, but elegant like a sword. Cutting throug enemies with precision and Grace while a violin plays in the background.

Image IPBI could imagine her saying something like "Lemme know how many feet that will throw you back!" when you order her to fire a concussive shot.

Okay, I second that.

Ashley is like a perfectly calibrated sniper rifle - or a incredible sharp sword. It cuts through enemy lines with ease and spreads terror among those who're unlucky enough to survive her wrath.

*cough*

That's maybe a bit too much. And scary.

heheh it's okay, Ashley can have some intimidation to her. She is after all, a Spectre so it comes with the job.

And why do I feel attracted to a woman like her?

C'mon ... no one sleeps with a woman deadlier than any gun in the same bed without being either insane or totally worthy doing so.

This beautiful woman just summoned me to her bed. I shouldn't let her wait any longer, what do you think?

*raises hand* I'd love to have a lethal woman at my side like Ashley because life's more fun that way.

I also prefer my Shepard to be with a lethal and deadly woman, it was part of the reason I picked Ashley in the first place.
While in real life I don't think I'd be nearly tough enough to handle a woman like Ash, I think the guy who saved the Citadel and destroyed the Collectors might be just the right amount of tough to handle Ash.

Isn't that all available women who aren't Kelly?

I suppose, but I also think of all the 'lethal' women in Mass Effect, Ashley was the most grounded in reality. She wasn't lethal because she was a member of an alien warrior race, she wasn't genetically perfect, she hadn't been experimented on and she didn't get pushed to almost superhero proportions.

Ashley is just lethal and tough in an ordinary and very human way. She's no super woman but she is a very tough and very capable  soldier. She was at the right level of strength where I could acknowledge her toughness while still being able to relate to her as a person.
It's harder to relate to the problems of genetically engineered super women or convicts who were experimented on as children or aliens with no immune systems, at least to me.

She's a Spectre. They're almost superheros by definition. And Tali fits all of your criteria as well (as would Kasumi were she romanceable).
Nitpicky, I know, but... I have to.

Your opinion on this matter has been noted. I suppose that doesn't apply to me.

It's not Miranda's genes hat define her it's how she carries herself. she has confidence issues and I myself can relate to that since everyone loses confidence in themselves at times. Ashley does too since she tells you that she doesn't think she's good enough for the things she fights for.

Well after seeing the beta video I'm kind of disappointed in Ash and now I want to do a PT without romancing her. Problem is I've already started and have done the recruit Liara mission and flirted with Ash afterwards so I guess I am at stage 1 of that. Problem is I have heard many people didn't think they were in a romance with Ash just to find out in ME2 it says they were as evidenced by picture. Most people say only way to be sure she doesn't get flagged as your ME love interest is to leave her on Virmire which I'd like to avoid. Any tips on making sure to end the relationship with her without killing her or trying to get with Liara? I want to go into ME 2 unattached.

That must have been fun lol.

Any news on Ash?

P.S.:  There are a lot of dialogues going around, and kudos to their respective writers.

Easiest ways.

During the conversation after you meet the council (it triggers if you press that overlooking area near where the Terra Firma party has their meeting) tell her to "Keep it professional." and it'll auto kill the romance. Or just tell her "Are you questioning me?" when she asks about should Garrus or Wrex be on the ship. That'll also do an auto kill.

This way you can still talk to her without ever initating the romance.

Failing that I think if you renegade her completely at the locker scene she leaves...I *think*

It's nowhere near that simple. Ash ninjamances like crazy (a conversation with her about her grandfather flags the romance for the love of pete) and it's annoying as hell. It's part of the reason I virmire her 99% of the time.

Completely innocent dialogue choices result in the romance being flagged.
