When I think of Shepard, I only imagine my main custom shep, sometimes shadowed by Sheploo. Which I don't mind, Sheploo doesn't bother me.

Listening to that. I can imagine Shepard just sitting at his desk, listening to the recording over and over. Cradling his forehead in his hand and shedding tears in the darkness, the only lights is from Ashley's video message on the terminal. The bright orange clashing with the subtle blue of the fishtank. He reaches towards the hologram with a trembling hand as if to touch warm flesh that didn't exist there, that he has to remind himself isn't there.

Heh, I'm imagining something pretty similiar to that, only without fishtank. Also imagined him lying on his bed, hands resting under his head, staring at the ceiling whilst Ashley's voice fills and slightly echoes through the room. Thinking back to Ilos, just like Ash, feeling like they are still sharing that moment, thinking of it together.

Meanwhile, Ash is sniping some baddies

Ashley: Nearly three hours we've been trapped in there!
Shepard: I can think of worse places to be trapped in with you and some better places actually.
Ashley: Hum well it did get us to sort things out.
Shepard: Yes it did *Kisses Ashley. Then walks over to a console and starts tapping at the controls*
Ashley: What are you doing John?
Shepard: Well I have an........Hey you just called me John
Ashley: *Puts her arms around him* unless you want me to say "Thank you sir" every time we kiss
Shepard: Lets try it and see *Kisses Ashley again*
Ashley: Thank You Sir *Smiles*
Shepard: I think I like that better than John.
Ashley: Then I guess we won't be kissing after all *Grins* So what are you up to?
Shepard: *puts a single finger on Ashley's lips* Shusss Just play along. Ok done lets go and see Tali and Garrus and thank them for all thier hard work.

*in Engineering*

Joker: What do you mean they haven't gone up to the Loft. What are they doing?
Tali: They were talking near the observation console now it looks like there heading for the starboard engineering corridor.
Vega: They're coming here Sh*t.
Garrus: Quick everyone head though the portside corridor, me and Tali will keep them occupied while you get to the elevator!
Joker, Vega & Chackwas: Right.
 
*Just as the trio exit in to the portside corridor Ashley and Shepard walk in from the starboard side*

Shepard: Hey you two thanks for getting us out of there.
Garrus: Hey no problem
Ashley: You two must be exhausted after that EVA and you must be hungry.
Tali: No not really.
Shepard: Oh nonsense, come you two lets go and get something to eat I'm hungry how about you Ash?
Ashley: Dinner sounds great it will give us time to catch up.
Tali & Garrus: *Both thinking the others should be back at their stations by now* Ok
Ashley & Shepard: Great after you two

*Garrus and Tali walk up to the elevator with Ashley and Shepard behind them. Just as they arrive the elevator door automatically opens*
 
Shepard & Ashley: BUSTED
Tali: This isn't good
Garrus: this is bad!
Vega: oh Sh*t.
Chackwas: *facepalm*
Joker: how did.....when did EDI is this your doing
EDI: I did not alert Shepard and Williams to your plans however, Shepard used the observation console to issue several command overrides before entering Main Engineering.
Shepard & Ashley: EXPLAIN YOURSELVES
Joker: Come on guys the kids hate it when mommy and daddy fight *Smiles at them*
Shepard: Now I'm going to say this once - I see, hear and know everything that happens on the ship understand. There's me and then there's GOD. I think you all need some time to think about that.
Chackwas: We had the best intentions
Ashley: "The road to hell" ring a bell?
Joker: Fine we'll go to our rooms
Shepard: Nope you sealed us in an elevator for 3 hours to think things over. Fairs Fair.
Vega: 3 hours in here that's not
Shepard: NOT WHAT LIEUTENANT
Vega: Nothing Sir.
Shepard: Anything you want to add Lt. Commander Williams?
Ashley: Yes Commander Shepard. Joker I'll take those playing cards........NOW MISTER.
Joker: oh man *Gives Ashley his deck of cards*
Ashley: 06.00hrs tomorrow morning you will all report to the armory and you will clean every last bolt and rivet until it sparkles. CLEAR.
The Dammed: sir, yes sir.
Ashley: That's better. EDI seal the elevator doors and don't let them out for exactly 3 hours.
EDI: Order acknowledged, Sealing doors. To all crew members the elevator will be off line for 2 hours 58 minutes. Please use service crawlways until further notice.
 
Final Part - "Kids tucked away in Bed, time for the parents to play" coming later.
Thanks CptData. I did feel bad about Vega, but he didn't come to the rescue when he found out what was going on.
@ Mr.Brainheart I'm sorry to say that the elevators been locked down so I can't write a steamy Sheply end in there. Sorry.

Ashley and Shepard wished Abby goodbye and went back to Ashley's home.

Ashley: Hey you two.
Lynn: Hi Ash ... hello Mr. Shepard.
Shepard: Just call me "John".
Lynn: John. I'm Lynn. And this is Sarah-
Sarah: Hey John. Heard a lot of you *smiles*
Shepard: Hope Ash just told the good stories.
Sarah: And she wasn't wrong about you. You are quite an eye catcher ...
Ashley: Sarah! He's mine, remember?
Sarah: *laughs* sure he is, sis.
Ashley: Hope so. Keep him entertained, little sis - need some time with Lynn.
Sarah: Trust me, Ashley, I'll keep John entertained ...
Ashley: *groans* Sarah!
Sarah: Okay, okay. Not the "Williams way". I got it. See you then.
Shepard: Wait, Ash, what does it mean, ...
Sarah: Ah shut up, handsome. I won't break you or something ...
* door closed *

Lynn: Thanks ... feels like ages since our last talk, Ash.
Ashley: Feels more like a different life. So much has changed since my last visit ... not just the war ... everything.
Lynn: You made the best of it. Commander Williams. Dad would be proud of you.
Ashley: Yeah, I think he is. And what do you think?
Lynn: I don't know, I really don't. I'm just glad you made it back, not like Robert ...
Ashley: Hmm. I'm sorry, Lynn ...
Lynn: Just wish I ... I had picked a military career like you. Robert and I could be together right now ... on the other side.
Ashley: Lynn, don't say that-
Lynn: I miss him ... miss him so badly *tears stream down her face*
Ashley: *hugs Lynn tightly*
Lynn: Ash ... I ... it's even worse. He won't ever know it ...
Ashley: Lynn, Robert is watching you ... like Dad ... he knows it.
Lynn: Just wish I've told him earlier ... now I can't ... Ash ... not even Mom knows it. Growing up without a father ... without Robert ...
Ashley: You're ... no way. You're becoming a mom? That's great news, Lynn. *hugs her again*
Lynn: *cries* ... I don't know what to do ... Ash...
Ashley: You're going to be wonderful mommy, Lynn. You're a Williams ...
Lynn: I never thought - I'd have to raise a child alone ... I always wanted a happy family ... and now, without Robert ...
Ashley: Lynn ...
Lynn: It's okay, sis ... I just feel so empty now. All I have from him are memories - and his child.
Ashley: Never had a chance to meet him. How was Robert?
Lynn: Robert was ... wonderful. He loved children and wanted to have a family one day. And he was looking for a nice house on Earth. We had so many plans ...
Ashley: Yeah ...
Lynn: Think he even wanted to get transfered to a position on Westpoint Academy, as instructor. Being on board of a starship doesn't help to raise children and ... and I told Robert I wouldn't allow. And if you want a family too, you won't want to found one without a save place.
Ashley: Think you're right. And John knows that.
Lynn: It won't happen now. Robert is dead ... and ... *tears stream down her face again*
Ashley: *holds Lynn in her arms*

* I kinda fail with that stuff ... I'm not happy with that dialogue, something is missing and I can't point my finger at ...*

@CptData I think its fine. Maybe if you had Lynn tell Ashley a bit about the sort of man Robert was, Hang on thers a tear in my eye seriously. Sorry about that I just red that second section again it's got real depth.

Shepard: That's the best fun I've had in months.
Ashley: You're so evil John.
Shepard: Me I was only going to lock them up for a while, you're the one who's given them "hard labour"
Ashley: Well we have to show them who's boss don't we?
Shepard: Too true. Now how about that dinner.
Ashley: Wait....oh man that means we have to climb all the way up to your cabin.
Shepard: Weren't you listening "I see, hear and know all on this ship"
Ashley: So?
Shepard: They've been planning this for over a week. As a former Spacescout I'm always prepared.
Ashley: You Jerk *smiling* you said you didn't know about this *punches his arm*
Shepard: I knew they where planning something but I didn't know what it was.
Ashley: Why didn't you warn me?
Shepard: You wern't talking to me remember? Come on I'm hungry.
　
*Shepard walks over and enters the port cargo hold with Ashley close behind*
　
Ashley: The food ration packs are in the starboard cargo bay John.
Shepard: If you want to eat combat rations for our first date in 3 years then go a head, I've got something else in mind.
Ashley: Is that a secret compartment?
Shepard: Yep the Normandy's like an old stone castle lots of secret doors and compartments *He pulls out a large storage crate and places it on the ground*
Ashley: Warning Biohazard. Danger of death if opened. John is that crate safe?
Shepard: That's just to discourage the curious if anyone comes across it. EDI lights down 50 percent and play Shepard Collection Alpha 4 *soft violin and piano music starts playing over the pa system*
Ashley: oh nice, I'll get some crates to sit on.
Shepard: No need *pulls out a thick padded blanket and lays it on the cargo bay deck*
Ashley: A picnic. You really are pulling out all the stops
Shepard: *places a couple of candles on one of the crates and lights them* For you always. Wine Miss Williams.
Ashley: Oh yes. So what's on the menu
Shepard: French greenbean salad, Fettuccine with a white wine chesse sauce and stuffed vine leaves.
Ashley: mmmmmm and for desert?
Shepard: You *Leans over and passionately kisses Ashley*
Ashley: Smooth John very smooth, but we should eat before it gets cold.
Shepard: The foods already cold it's the desert that's red hot!
Ashley: I thought you said you were hungry.
Shepard: There's a "hot dish" I haven't been able to get hold of for 3 years
Ashley: Flatter me all you want. First the food and wine, Then you can have you're cake and eat it *seductively smiles*

* 3 hours later*

Shepard: I don't think I've kissed someone for that long since high school
Ashley: You're telling me. You barely let me catch my breath.
Shepard: I told you I've been waiting 3 years for this.
Ashley: To kiss me for 3 hours
Shepard: Well not just to kiss you, but considering how this day started things are looking up
Ashley: I'll say *lifts one eyebrow*. Well as fun as this has been this floor is very uncomfortable.
Shepard: Well the elevator should be free by now. Want to head up to my cabin for a nightcap?
Ashley: Just a nightcap John. I've got some officers to whip back in to shape at 06.00hrs
Shepard: Ok but only if you meet me for breakfast in the mess at 09.00
Ashley: Deal.

Added this last bit. It needed a better ending.

I enjoyed those last few dialogues, nice ending to the series I think Alliance.
@Data, maybe it's the amount of dots, it's a bit distracting when reading. Also 'How was Robert?' sounds weird to me, like it's an insinuation. Although maybe that's just me, I don't know, it's not like I'm a native speaker either. I think it was a fine dialogue though!.

@AD; So, how do they even know which Ash is which? It must be confusing.

I'm afraid you are wrong. I'm English. I'm some what fluent in French but Latin is my second Language. Add to the fact that I can type over 300 words a minute, sometimes my brain forgets which language to think in when I'm typing. 
 
There have been times I've typed entire dialogues in Latin, so then I have to go through and translate it or start all over again. If I stopped reading books in Latin then my brain would probably return to the default (English), But I do love Latin.
