Lennox: Well good morning sleepy head, did I interrupt your beauty sleep god knows you need it.
Shepard: I just didn't want to look at you're ugly mug till the artificial sun came up.
Lennox: Touché, What's with the extra large coffee? It's not like you to drink coffee this early?
Shepard: For your information I didn't get any sleep last night, I had to repair the damage after your little joke on
Ashley.
Lennox: Well you're going to have to work hard to keep that one John. Has she seen what you look like in the morning yet?
Shepard: of course she has why?
Lennox: and she still interested in you after seeing that mug drooling all over the pillow. The woman's a saint.
Shepard: I told her that if it wasn't for your promotion that it would have been you on the Normandy instead of me, and that you would be taking her out to dinner.
Lennox: Really, the future Mrs Ashley Lennox. What did she say to that.
Shepard: Thank god for the Batarians.
Lennox: *smiles* That's not bad. So have you got enough caffeine for a 20k run
Shepard: Eat my dust Iron Balls *Starts running down the path*
Lennox: Hey you're supposed to let the senior officer win. Oh dam it I should of said a 10k run. *Runs after Shepard*
 
*Mean while on the Normandy sleeping beauty is stirring in bed*
 
Ashley: *Moves her hand over to Johns side of the bed* oh John......Huh John where are you?
EDI: Shepard left 1 hour 3 minutes ago Lt. Commander Williams.
Ashley: EDI what time is it?
EDI: Local time is 05:57hrs
Ashley: Where the hell would he go at this time of the morning?
EDI: I believe that is explained in the note he left for you.
Ashley: Oh...... *Looks over at Johns pillow and Finds a red rose with a hand written note* a rose god he's so encourageable sometimes.
 
           Good Morning Ash, Sorry I couldn't be there when you wake up.
           Me and Max have a tradition that when we're in the same place we always go for a
           morning run. It's how we catch up with what we've both been up to so I'll leave you with this:
 
               I could never forget you, not today, not ever, for you've entered my heart,
               where you'll remain forever.

Ashley: *smells the rose after reading Johns note* You've got to give him credit he knows what I like
EDI: If you are fully awake Lt.Commander there is a message for you
Ashley: Who's it from EDI?
EDI: Dr Chakwas.
Ashley: Read it to me would you please
EDI: Of Course Message Reads:
 
         Lt.Commander Williams
         Sorry to disturb you at such a late hour but I have just received word from ANMC. The
         assistant Commander Shepard requested on my behalf will be arriving on station at
         07:00hrs tomorrow and has been ordered to report to the Normandy without delay for
         briefing and assignment to Medbay. I have enclosed her file for you to look at and brief
         Commander Shepard.
 
         Would you like me to read Dr Anna Johnson's file to you as well?
 
Ashley: No that's fine EDI. Did John say what time he would be back?
EDI: He started that he would be gone for at least several hours. Would you like me to contact him.
Ashley: No it's fine EDI it's my job as XO to deal with new crew members anyway. Thank you for the heads up.
EDI: You're welcome Lt.Commander. I will leave Dr Anna Johnson's File on screen if you wish to view it.
Ashley: Is Sergeant Gardner up yet?
EDI: Yes Lt.Commander, he is in the mess hall kitchen preparing breakfast.
Ashley: Could you let him Know I would Like a double espresso and scrambled egg on rye for breakfast in 30 minutes.
EDI: No need, Commander Shepard had already ordered your breakfast just before he left.
Ashley: *Smells the rose again* Arh John you think of everything don't you.

Guess she enjoys books that play in the 18th and 19th century, the "era of gentlemen". And she's a fan of the Civil War, so ... don't ask me. She loves collecting books dealing with that time.
Also she likes SciFi, mostly Star Trek and Star Wars but also lesser known series like Pherry Rhodan. Would say, she's a quite literated person. That's something she shares with my Shepard: both do have old fashioned books because of the feeling of real paper. And the scent of ancient books ... 

Old books, yeah, I think she'd like that, I wonder would she be more into the romanticised kind of books or the realistic depictions? I'm inclined to think romanticised (is that even a word? lol.), fits better with her soft side, but maybe she only looks for that in poetry...hmm

@AD; Ah yes, know archery would be a good sport for Ash!

It's for uni. I'm going into Communication design... (hopefully), so advertising and that jazz. I want to eventually get to animation so I can become an animator. (Life long dream is to create my own animated TV show... that, or artist. Whichever takes my fancy)

My degree was in Communication Design (got a 2:1 so was very happy) , it was a really good one, we did so many things.

I actually was horrid at animation I did not have the patience sadly. I decided to stick with Illustration/Graphic design.

Ahh the 1.1...Well I only witnessed it for a month or so (plus some stalk time ) and then moved on to this thread, but yeah, sure, there were good people there, though it was a bit more heated there from time to time, atleast that's how I remember it.  Some parts of the thread seemed to split up in the end.

Ash is worth it?

Hmm, so I posted this (slightly reworked)part of a fic about Shep and Ash in the wild west, that didn't really work out when I wrote it a few months ago. It's got a lot of sheps in it so I thought it wouldn't be to appropriate to post the whole thing here, instead I blogged it:

It's really good. I keep my stories confined to the Mass Effect universe as it stands. I love writing scifi as I do watch a lot of it. But I could never take Ashley and Shepard and put them in the "old west" that's thinking way out of the box. 

Hats of to you Mr.Brainheart you've managed to take the essence of Ashley and Shepard (their souls if you will) and instil them in a completely different setting. If I had tried to do that then I would be using time travel, holodecks or alternate dimension theories to make it work.

Would love to see more

Shepard: It's your team this time. I'll send Garrus and Tali with you, Vega and Liara are with me. Miranda will take team three with Jacob and Grunt.
Miranda: Understood. We won't disappoint you, Commander.
Shepard: I'm sure you won't. Everyone ready then? Fine - then lets make it happen!
Ashley: Move, Garrus, in the shuttle!
Miranda: Shuttle #3 is ours, move it!
Shepard: Vega, Lira, we're picking Shuttle #1.
Ashley: Skipper ... it's not the right time, I know ... but ... please, come back. I can't lose you another time ...
Shepard: I know ... Ashley, I know ...
Ashley: John ...
Shepard: Ash ... we're going to win this day. We're going to retake Earth. This is it ... the largest fleet, the largest invasion in our history. We're going to do this ... together ...

Thanks!  It was indeed my goal not to involve anything that doesn't belong in the time period, glad to know I managed to do that. Unfortunately I kinda lost touch with the old west feel later on, so next parts need some more rewriting.

I'd also love to write a Noir story with ME characters one day.

@Data; That's an interesting and awesome thought, Ashley getting to lead her own squad! I'd so love to see that in the game!

England made up the name soccer to take the place of football as the name of the sport. And they started soccer...

But I think she would definitely play multiple sports.

Probably the more aggressive ones. Like field hockey, soccer, etc.
