Hiya
I haven't been on in a while thanks to my workplace scheduling me 6 days in a row (whatever happened to weekends?) and because I've been spending most of what little free time I have playing The Old Republic, which is the only thing that will keep me from going nuts with impatience for the next 2 1/2 months. So I come back and find out that I missed the letter of awesomeness, and I'm too tired from work to go searching through the thread. May I trouble anyone for a link plz?

on that MMa note, I do actually think ashley could take "cyborg" and most likely put on a clinic. I imagine that soldier class in the alliance being in peak physical condition. I'm talking they could probably go hand to hand with someone probably for an hour Iron man Match style and then still want more. They're also incredibly strong as well. I can see Ashley squatting about 350, curling 110, and benching maybe 400. My Canon femshep Kallen is also a soldier, but as she has various weaves (skins, muscle, and bone) as well as metal reinforcements on her bones, I imagine she's be on par if not stronger than the Yagh so in case she runs out of bullets, she can easily just start punching faces in like Tex fighting the Reds or Carolina fighting the issurectionists on the oil platform.

Dunno. I can see Ash being awesome and really tough - but not even Shepard is an "iron man". Think they're more or less ordinary people with a very good shape & stamina. I doubt they're "iron man material". Ashley's body - and please don't repost that picture *g* - is still quite feminine. No "muscular woman" - and I still believe she can single-handedly take down any soldier of any today army and stand her own in an arm wrestling match.

In short: despite being awesome and in perfect shape, Ash didn't "overdo" it. And Shepard has the shape of an ordinary well trained soldier. He's not THAT special I guess.

Just my idea. And yeah, kinda headcanon. My Ash & Shepard are no superpowered humans, just well trained soldiers. They make up a lot with their strong determination: they want to get the job done and they don't stop charging into the fray because of a hail of bullets.

well apparently there are gene mods at birth or after alliancer service, ashley had her eye sight fixed because she was near sighted. and the binary helix darc mentioned does genetic modification to make better soldiers.

Think those upgrades are not too unusual. Near sightness is quite common and I never saw anyone with glasses in ME series - therefore, genetical enhancements are accepted standard I guess.

Maybe they also find a way how to improve muscular density by a lot. As I said, Ashley doesn't look too riped. She's a beautiful & very feminine woman with everything at the right place. Muscular women tend to have nearly no fat and therefore lack breasts: Ashley clearly has some body fat left, her skin looks quite soft. Maybe she got her muscular structure enhanced for maximum performance ... who knows?

Besides that, I think she got a very high stamina. She's in shape, no doubt, perfect marine material. But she's also a woman and wants to be one - means she's not going down the path to a "muscular woman".

I'm gonna agree with this.

Although... technically iron man isn't in that great of shape. The suit does all the work.

Actually I was talking about the Iron man match in wrestling. It's a 60 minute match where whoever has the most falls (submissions or a 3 count) wins. The match ends after 60 minutes so it's 60 minutes of combat.

Uhh okay, then we have a misunderstanding here. I was talking about the "real" Iron Man. Not just the "show" (Wrestling is more show than sport) ...

Maybe we should go for a real sport? Boxing maybe? I can see Ash being able to take down any of the Klitschko brothers - that fight wouldn't count anyways since Ash fits to "featherweight", maybe "lightweight" while the Klitschko's are heavyweighters.

Ash could take them down because of superior flexibility - she can evade their punches. Her high stamina keeps her moving. However, I doubt she can place critical hits that easily. So in the end Ash might win technically, not by K.O.

Yea, I got in. Got the position I wanted and now I just have to hand in the rest of my assignments when I come back from holidays and I'm set. Got a whole six months off to either get a job or to do some freelance work.
