Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. I was just at a wrestling event. and while it is coereographed, then men and women that do have to be in incredible shape. I doubt you'd find any regular athelete that would be willing to be slammed ona ladder, or fall off one and have a wooden table there to break their fall. Now that I think about it I can picture ashley going to a show on shore leave, wearing the T short of her favorite wrestler and having a sign and maybe a belt with her too.
I view Ashley a bit different when it comes to combat: I mean I figure she's good, quick with a gun and deadly too..But I don't see her as a surgeon on the battlefield, she's not an assassin, she's a soldier, when she has the AR she uses it for suppressing fire, burst fire, etc, the shotgun is gritty upclose stuff and I would say quite brutal. The sniper might be the exception though, I can see her going for headshots with that. And I think she definitly gets hit from time to time, that's why she's got nice and solid armour.CptData wrote...
Therefore, Ashley is more in that boxing sport in my opinion. She's really good, very fast and rarely uses brutal violence. She's a surgeon - does few but critical strikes. And she can't be hit. Elegant. Deadly. That's Ashley - in my headcanon.

Also if for instance someone she needs to capture alive runs away, I don't believe she'll fire a few well aimed warning shots but rather incapacitate the person. Ofcourse that's all my opinion or canon, if you like.

yeah we should all hug Ashley!
Yeah indeed I was thinking of those lines, but I didn't get you were talking about hand-to-hand, that does change it a little.CptData wrote...
Ah you're remembering her lines regarding "can't dodge bullets and therefore rely on heavy armor", amirite?
True. I concur - but wasn't talking about regular combat but hand-to-hand fights. She's not the grunt type. In my current playthrough I use her as sniper companion to my soldier!Shepard. In other playthroughs she's the bullet catcher, and she rarely went down. Any other squadmate died faster than her - even Wrex
Whatever, guess we all have different AND similar images of Ash. Mine is dead sexy and deadly

@AD; well if I drop the dead that would leave us with ... sexy, are you hinting at something here?
@Data; Shepard found his cheese again I seeStill don't like the "that's the plan" line, it sounds so unhelpful and a bit dumb, I think.

Heh, oddly enough, that's the type of man I imagine her dad would look like. Don't know if she'd find him handsome, but that kind of look might attract her, I think.CptData wrote...

Shepard has a tendency to use stupid lines, but he's not stupid.
Reminds me of Jack O'Neill (Stargate SG1), if you ask me.
Wonder if Ashley would find him handsome

I accidently ran into the spoilers and had but a fleeting glace at one of the endings. I am doing everything I can to forget it now. If it helps wellactually12, I find concussive impacts against my forehead works rather well. LOL!

Its just... I don't know how to feel, I keep making excuses that could explain it but, I can only hope those rumours are true that Bioware purposely released the script to have reactions and that they're making major changes to it, but I doubt that Mac"Daddy" Walters has that much thought process to plan something that complex...

It wouldn't be the first time that such a technique has been attempted. I seem to recall a movie that did this once in the past (Keep in mind I was born in the dark ages, so you probably wouldn't know it even if I could remember the incident). As the news reports show, there has actually been an increase in interest in the game. For this reason, the leak could have been entirely intended. If my understanding of the nature of storyline documents is correct, such a document could be typed up within a reasonably short period of time thus allowing a fake version to be accidentally released to the public. At the risk of sounding paranoid, this would be a good way to increase profits. This is also true now that Bioware has admitted that they are taking the reviews of the fans into consideration for the final version. This give us the sense of having some control over the final product and thus a greater investment in the game for when it is released.
As per my usual, I will try to hold my judgement unitill I actually finish my first playthough.
