Haha, If you don't choose for the right house, the relationship with Ashley goes downhill fast and you'll see her moving in with Conrad Verner (who's wife will have left him by then) in the end, after the war is over. Hefty consequences.

Why would Shepard and Ash want a house when they've got the Normandy in sexy alliance colours? I can't wait to see how pimp'd out Shepard's crib is in me3. He needs some intense loft music to set the mood, like the The Weeknd. Then we're good. And the fish have to make a return. Their tank needs to be beside the bed this time so they get to see some good action every once in a while

I got the feeling that something very pivotal in ME3 will come down to your relationship with Ash or one of her decisions affects the end-game. 

I just read it & dropped a comment:

Wow. Nice interview – I love you both Raphael & Kimberly.
Two of the best characters in the series and Ashley is one of my
all-time-favorites.
Some part of me hopes that BW plans a reboot one day and asks you two
for more Kaidan & Ashley voice acting. And I really hope they make
it possible to save both characters on Virmire – the third option, the
“Kobayashi Maru” solution, so to speak.

wonderful project that may have influence on our generation like Star

Kimberly: Well, I think, you know, she’s definitely changed quite a bit, and evolved – which is always a great thing for a character. But I think the one constant about Ashley is her dedication to the cause. She’s only ever had a military life, and that’s sort of all she knows. So, I think she’s been pretty constant with her beliefs. I think what’s changed is her belief, basically, in Shepard. I mean, she doubted Shepard so much in game one and game two.

In my Shepard/Ashley romance I have always had some type of "hesitation/doubt" between the two. It made the relationship more "real" in my head if to date they have not fully committed yet. But that will change in ME3 if I am really lucky!    

And I still want to know who Ash trained under to get her Spectre status. I don't think her time with Shepard counted since he wasn't "training/evaluating" her. Watch, ME3 will completely overlook that requirement. But I will keep hoping to be proven wrong. 
 
Oh ... and can I say how excited I was to get a tweet back from Kimberly? *happy dance, happy dance*

I never saw Kaidan and Ashley being a thing at all. Close friends eventually, and maybe. I always got the impression that Kaidan and Ash never saw each other as more than friends. If it could even be consider that. They seemed to just get on like normal marines on duty. The thing that ties them, is that someone gave their life for the other. But actually they gave their life for the mission, saving the other in the process. After virmire I can see Ashley regretting not knowing the man who gave his life for the mission and for her, a little better than what she did.

I feel like BioWare screwed me. Seriously, I made a female Shepard. And I really, really didn’t want to romance Kaidan because… Well, my male Shepard romanced Ash. But hell, the more Jane Shepard talked to Kaidan… The more I couldn’t see her with any other love interest, and so the inevitable happened, I guess. They got together, and when I got around to ME2, I wanted to romance Thane. That didn’t work, and so… I’ve now got two faithful Shepards with broken hearts ready for the emotional sh*tstorm that is ME3. I feel... bad. But excited.

I know my dude-sheppy and Ashley are gonna have some sharp words for the other come me3. =/ They might not stick together. If I end up with two LONELY FOREVER Shepard's I'm gonna feel worst lol

^ MBE just keep your Shep in love with Ash. Might take a while to fix all damage, but it's worth it. Remember, you send me all that stuff - don't give up now.

I can't keep him in love with Ash. The same way I couldn't make my Jane Shepard NOT romance Kaidan. Dude Shepard... He still loves Ash now (ME2) and he's gonna have some rough words for her come ME3, it's just who he is. I just hope Ash can handle it without walking away this time.

It's a product of my mind.

I think that Kaidan and Ashley are friends, no more, no less and that's fine. That's not to say I can't picture them as more than friends. Well it were fireeye's pictures that started the idea off for me.

@Mega; Spoilers or not, you've just seen a script not the actual final product, where everything comes together, musics, graphics, Voice acting. That can change any script into something that's a lot better then what it's in itself. If I'd read ME2 just as a script I'd probably hate it, but when it all comes together I start to look over small inconsistencies and flaws and am able to really enjoy the experience despite it's flaws.

Funny. I can see Ash & Kaidan growing closer. Might take more time than with Shepard but still - two years are a lot of time. If you could save both on Virmire and if Shepard dies at the beginning of ME2, I can see both becoming more than friends: first close friends, then they suddenly realize there's even more between both.

However, it doesn't happen since only Ash OR Kaidan can live. Therefore, no relationship.

Besides that, I don't know if I'm alone here, but Ash is not Shepard's girl only. She also could go for another guy if she wants. Maybe she does if never romanced ... ?

As I said, I can't seem them being together at all. It just doesn't work for me. And with how the story played out in the game, it didn't. Kaidan doesn't do that stuff lightly, and from the start he had his eyes on my Jane Shepard. Even though she plays hard to get. Sort of like Ashley =P

Read through that wall of text Data sent me. And I feels good about it. I think Ashley and Shepard can make it, if they want it bad enough. Good thing my Shepard is inwardly daft about Ash. She just needs to tease him about something for him to remember how awesome she is.
