Ashley: My pleasure. I've been told it's been tuned, but I'm tone-deaf. The retailer could have told me it sounded like a hanar singing and I would have believed them if I didn't know better.
Shepard: I don't know if the Hanar have an appreciation for music Ash, especially the kind that I play.
Ashley: Can I be selfish now?
Shepard: Depends, love.
Ashley: Could you play me something? You know, as a sound test?
Shepard: *fake reluctant* Oh, gosh, I suppose I could.
Ashley: I'm pretty sure there's a pick in there as well. Because its been a long time since you've played and everything.
Shepard: Nah, I'll live. *sits down and tests a few chords.* Yeah, my fingers are fine. Just gotta remember the songs now.
Ashley: *sits down* No pressure. It'd sound better than anything I can play.
Shepard: I have offered to teach you, you know.
Ashley: Can't teach when you're off the grid for two long years.
Shepard: Valid point.
Ashley: Anyway...
Shepard: Anyway... I think I can remember a song. This is from a TV show I used to watch, I think. EDI?
EDI: Yes, Shepard?
Shepard: Can you play the music 'G.O.T Cover remix' when I start playing please?
EDI: Of course Shepard. Media file ready to play.

Shepard: Good morning, Ash. Another day, another Reaper ...
Ashley: Yep. What's our plan today, Skip?
Shepard: Not much. We're en route to Tuchanka ... everything looks fine. Had word with Hackett already - they were able to take down a single Reaper last night. Not much, but every little bit helps.
Ashley: Guess so. Any losses?
Shepard: Some cruisers, but less than in the Battle of the Citadel. Seems we're getting better and better.
Ashley: Every ship we lose is a victory for them, regardless how many we take down. You know that. We hardly can replace them at the moment.
Shepard: Yeah. I try not to think too much about it. Just ... I feel the weight on my shoulders. The more time we need to find a way, the less will be left to save. Millions die every day ...
Ashley: John ...
Shepard: I'm okay. Just want to get that job done. Crap job.
Ashley: At least it's just another crap job in my files.
Shepard: At least we'll get some gongs for that job.
Ashley: Couldn't care less about medals and such. I've got what I wanted already.
Shepard: Yes, I guess you redeemed your family's name already.
Ashley: That's not what I'm talking about, Skipper. I got ... you.
Shepard: *smiles* ... funny, I had the same thought in our night before Ilos. You know, when I told you "for the first time everything feels right".
Ashley: I remember that. God, you're pulling those awful lines so often ... and I love them. Sarah was right. I'm a sappy girl.
Shepard: "I'm a soldier, but also a woman." Your words.
Ashley: *groans* ... oh yes. Skip, know what? I think I used those words to get your attention. I so totally did.
Shepard: Not needed. You had my attention when I saw your face without that helmet for the first time.
Ashley: Love on first sight? I looked awful, Skip. Had bruises and my hair was a mess. And I had to wear that bun. Stupid military regulations.
Shepard: And you still looked beautiful. Besides that, I liked your bun.
Ashley: *laughs* I can do one for you, if you like.
Shepard: Only if you want it too.
Ashley: That sounds wrong, Skipper. Uhh ... I still need my morning coffee. Do you have one too?
Shepard: Yep. And don't dare to change the topic. You and me and your bun - this evening, 8pm?
Ashley: You never give up, right?
Shepard: If I had, I wouldn't have ever meet you.
Ashley: 8pm sounds good. Now, do you want your coffee or not?

I picture Ash as more a strings player.
And its the theme for a series called 'Game of Throne'. I don't rightly recall who wrote it, but it's a damn good show. Lots of politcal wars and plenty of (off-screen)battles.

Hmm ... we had it before, but I really wonder if Ashley is displayed in that ME-movie - and if she's in that movie, does she become a LI or not to the movie!Shepard?
Really wonder. Right before that wonderful essay got posted I'd say "no" but now I'm no longer sure about that since Ashley's romance arc comes with more ups and downs than Liara's. Therefore more potential for a well written love story.

Ideas?

I don't know because the 'canon' for Shepard's story is down to the individual. They can have comics and stories expanding the Character's backgrounds, but aside from that. I think making a 'canon' movie plot is a bad idea.

That's why they're going to make a Shepard-ME-movie with a different plotline. However, I think they also might borrow more characters from the games like Miranda or Ashley. Liara seems to be the most obvious choice.

Just wondering. If Ash is in the movies, I wonder if she turns out to be a flirt to Shepard or not. Maybe she's there but no love interest - could be possible. Then again I really like the idea Shepard & Ashley start something - and both know it's against the rules. I'm not saying this is "canon" - it's another "parallel universe" - and I really wonder how that's going to get real.

Sure.
However, it's not said which romance might happen.
If Liara and Ashley appear in that movie, it's a fifty-fifty deal. Either Shep goes for Liara or for Ashley. Maybe even both for a while. Or at some point Ash ditches Shepard and he goes for Liara - just to either stay with her or return to Ash.

Guess the moviemakers won't use Liara / Ashley in the movies to prevent nerd-rage

Actually that is a pretty good idea - Having him tossed around between both. Creates some drama and tension and audiences love that. The moviemakers won't care about nerd-raging, that is inevitable if they make an ME movie. "*snort* The Normandy has twenty windows, not twenty-two" and so on.

And Liara fans want Liara becoming the final love for Shepard

I'd say Shepard-Ashley-Liara is a good base for a love triangle. However, I don't know if there's time for something like that, after all, the plot is about stopping Saren / the Reapers. Is there time for a romance drama? Only if splitted in parts - instead of one movie (90 mins) the ME movie should come as trilogy with at least 120 mins per part, just to cover a tiny part of the universe ...


BTW I just have an idea which actor could become Shepard in ME movie. The dude from the Avatar movie - Sam Worthington. He looks close enough to Sheploo, if you ask me and he did a great job in Avatar.

And cause of crappy copy-right issues, the produces of 'Avatar: The last Airbender' aren't allowed to call it 'Avatar' anymore. Which is full of BS. Now they can't call the new series Avatar: Legend of Korra. They have to call it 'The last Airbender: Legend of Korra'. 'The Last Airbender' was only valid in the first series because Aang was the LAST F*CKING AIRBENDER ALVIE!! KORRA IS NOT! The series as a whole is about THE AVATAR. Not THE AIRBENDERS!

Anyway, back to Ashly peoples.

Okay we understand....  are you feeling  better now... I know I have the need  to rant like that  as well.   And yes I lost a Ton of Respect for  James Cameron as person because of that  complete and utter bull****. I hate the Judge even more from allowing the Nonsense to even  fly any one with a spec of  sense can see  they are two complete different series... .Where did that guy go to law school.

At least she comes with a darn hot voice. Sorry for fanboying here ... she does a wonderful job. Why don't we have a German Kimberly ?! I really dislike what they did in the German dub of the game: ME1 was fine, I loved Ashley's voice. They changed almost the entire cast for ME2 which fails hard imo.

Should play ME3 with english voices & done. Although I like Shepard's German voice in ME2 more than the English version.

There are some german ME vids on youtube ... just look for "Mass Effect deutsch" or something. You might get some. However, VAs change between ME1 and ME2.

Munich? That's just 200 km away from my current home. ^^

Aww yes Avatar - another classic expample of the director getting so  caught up in trying to make a point that he forgot to have the plot make sense and blanatly stereotyped  all sides.  You do better when your characters  are little bit more nuanced and don't  act like a Complete  Monster and Spinless  weasels from the start.

Though the  whole living network thing  was pretty interesting... so have spent more time on that than trying to shove his opinions down  my throat

Still that movie... is FREAKING  BEAUTIFUL   too  look at.
