It was very well done indeed and I'd really like to believe that's what Bioware is doing, (like seriously, that sounds amazing!) but I go with the "I'll believe it when I see it" approach.

I'm not asking for everyone in both Ashley and Kaidan threads to kiss the ground I step in, but now that I know that a good part of people did read it, I feel like my work here is done.

Basically, I just wanted to share my opinion with as many people as possible, so that rational discussion around the VS could be possible. They're my favorite characters, and it pains me to see them turned into the punching bag of the fandom, but between the haters who act with blind agressiveness, and the VS fans who act with blind defensiveness, we're not getting anywhere. And that's what I wanted to change, even if it's just a little bit.

Let's see how the discussion will change in ME3. Hopefully it'll be for the better.

Anyway, sorry for the intrusion in your thread.

EDIT: Well, damn, I ended up with the first post. I believe it's tradition to post a picture here?

There are some german ME vids on youtube ... just look for "Mass Effect deutsch" or something. You might get some. However, VAs change between ME1 and ME2.

After listening to that Audio blog, I'm glad Kimberly was brought on. Maybe it's because I haven't heard any other voice actors read Ashley's lines but she fits the bill spot on.

Also keep in mind that's a big one. Finding a single dude in the middle of thousands is ... a challenge.

Anyway - If Ashley was ever given her own ship, what do you think she'd get? A little ship like the Normandy? A dreadnought? Would she even take a command?

No need to apologize! You weren't intruding and it isn't 'our' thread either.

I'd love to see a rational discussion around the VS, it happens from time to time, but not often enough. I hope your thread raised some awareness of different perspectives among those that don't like rationality in their debates, I doubt it, but I hope so.

I don't really believe ME3 will bring too much change to the discussion. Atleast from my own experience I've noticed a reluctance to see things differently. A lot of people seem to have made up their mind one way or the other. I might've become a bit of pessimist regarding this subject though.

And yes top of page picture is a tradition!

Maybe that hoodie? Was it in the CE of ME3?
Even then it's going to be a challenge.

If Ash gets her own ship, she'll prefer a frigate like the Normandy class. I doubt she want be in charge of a Dreadnaught. Besides that, she's a marine, not a member of the navy. However, since she'll be a Spectre, she might get her own ship one day - which will be a frigate or even smaller.

@Ashley_SR2; I'd say a small ship like the Normandy, I don't think she'd be quite prepeared to run a big ship, it seems like quite a task, that requires quite some training. I'd just love to see a scene where she flies into battle next to Shepard on the Normandy, it'd be awesome. It's probably never going to happen.

it's probably one of the shadows from the lighting. ME1 was a visually dark game. expect on the bright Citadel.

Yep, looks like this Ashley pic got reviewed & lightning improved.

The pic I've got the side from is commented by something like this: "I love her beautiful eyebrows". Which are, indeed very beautiful. I also love Ashley's eyes ... does she use eyeliner here? ^^

Greetings Ashley Thread. Don't believe I posted here before but I think some support is in order. I picked Ashley in ME1. Then Horizon happened. Can't say I'm cool with it but I know that topic's been done to death so I'll leave it alone. I did come across Kimberly Brooks reading the Horizon letter though and... wow. What a difference that makes. I hope they expand on those emotions in ME3. Would've been nice if they had that clip in ME2 I think, would've saved a lot of people grief. A simple video message as opposed to a letter. But oh well. Ashley may not be "my girl" anymore but I still like her and I think her character's going places. I look forward to seeing what those places are.

I was playing Batman Asylum. Everytime Oracle spoke, I was like damn it where have I heard that voice?

Then it came to me. Ashley. It's a very nice voice.
