with her personality I highly doubt that it was a joke. It came off as more of a flirt to me.

And latter in the game you can go to flux and get Ash to dance with you.

I still can't imagine this character dancing, It conflicts with her other personality traits and seems to be too much of a traditional "girls thing" for her to embrace.

W/e... maybe she doesn't strike you as liking to dance, but to a lot of us, she does. It's very much in her personality if you ask me. She's fiesty, she's outgoing, etc. Sounds like a dancer to me.

Depends on the type of dancing actually. Not everyone who dances are like that.

Edit: I could easily see Ashley dancing but I'm not so sure about Tali.

Most of the stuff posted here, including details about Ashley's character, are fannon. Like Ashley's coffee addiction, her love for old SciFi series, her bad writings (poetry done by Ash), her love for elevator rides with Shepard ...

It's all fanon or "headcanon". In your headcanon Ashley is not that much of a fan of dancing. In my headcanon she enjoys it - it's one of the things she loves to do with Shepard. One of many things. That doesn't make her to a girly girl or something, after all, there are also men who enjoy dancing.

Hey, actually like it  I don't have better ideas, though. But everything will be better than " Shepard! - Ashley?"
After Horizon I really expect something.. well, let's just say in that way, I really hope that we will be rewarded after ME2.

It's just the first meeting though, I don't think it's unreasonable they are a little lost for words. Horizon must've left them both confused and a little uncomfortable about how things will go. Once they're over that initial barrier, it'll be a bit more like old times I hope, but whilst keeping in mind that both of them might have changed a bit. There is real opportunity for growth within the character/characters in ME3 I hope they'll make use of that, without going overboard with it. Subtle.

Longing. Best word to describe what I feel for Ashley. Hadn't seen her in months while I was doing the job for Cerberus. And now I'm here on Earth, waiting for the trial. And she's not here. Didn't visit me. Although I heard she's on Earth.
I'm not sure if she's still the same or if she's seeing the same in me. Horizon gave me some stuff to think about. Her letter helped me not to not move on. Had a flirty situation or two with Miranda ... and I knew I couldn't go for her. I'm Ashley's. I'll ever be.
I must know why she's not visiting me. Maybe she's confused, worried ... maybe she doesn't want to tell me it's over, not days before my trial. Maybe she fears she could break me ...
