I value a hug from Ashley over cookies. I mean - I can bake that stuff, but get a hug by the woman you love but can't have? That's hard to get.

Speaking of ... Shepard received a tighter hug from Liara in ME2 (LotSB) than he got from Ashley.

Good point, but if someone is offering you a cookie, don't refuse xD
About a hug, y'know.. Maybe a tighter, but with Ashley was longer.

That quote is about her poetry, and you're using it to justify her liking to dance. Don't look at me sideways for a weird justification you're trying to use.

It seems like an atribute more acredited to a warm and bubbly type person, more like Tali. Ashley just doesn't seem like the type. She strikes me more as the type of person who would want to spend her time actually doing something that's also fun, but not dancing.

Lets find a way between both opinions, shall we?

Most of the stuff posted here, including details about Ashley's character, are fannon. Like Ashley's coffee addiction, her love for old SciFi series, her bad writings (poetry done by Ash), her love for elevator rides with Shepard ...

It's all fanon or "headcanon". In your headcanon Ashley is not that much of a fan of dancing. In my headcanon she enjoys it - it's one of the things she loves to do with Shepard. One of many things. That doesn't make her to a girly girl or something, after all, there are also men who enjoy dancing.

Works for me. Does it work for you?

Ja. That woks for me, headcanon seems to supersede actual content anyway.

Well Liara had just fulfilled (to this point) her lifes work after two stressful years having to watch her friend die and then haing to get her body from the colloectors making the tough choice to give it to Cerberus to be revived. It was way more emotional than Horizon.

Maybe. But Ashley never had a choice, whether to look for Shepard's body or not. Everyone thought that he/she died and they were right. Cerberus resurrected him. And probably the reason why they didn't ask Ash for help is that she's with the Alliance.  Besides, maybe Liara helped, but this moment is so goddamn mean. Er.. Liara's response. " Says the dead spectre working for the Cerberus ". Really? This 'dead' Spectre is with the Cerberus because of her..

Liara in the Shadow Broker made me wonder if Ashley cared enough to find out what happened to Shepard's body. Do you think the fact she was in the military kept her from being able to?

Given the fact the Normandy got destroyed in the Terminus Systems PLUS Shepards corpse went down on a planet in said area of space, I'd say Ashley (or Kaidan) never had a chance to go after that corpse. And even if they had an opportunity to do so - all they could do was to bury Shepard. I believe the Alliance officials decided to leave Shepard's corpse alone and with the remnants of the Normandy. For them s/he was KIA, they didn't know about that Lazarus Project. And working with Cerberus to bring him back? No way.

Actually, I really wonder if Shepard asks Ash/Kaidan if they ever tried to rescue his body. Hope this is getting addressed when talking about the VS' past (if it's even part of any dialogue).

I think it  might have been a cause. Liara basically lost her 'job' with the death of Shepard and she was a little obsessed over him, thus she had the means and reason to find out what happened to Shepard. Ashley on the other hand was tied to her job, but if she really wanted to she could quit it. The question then is, how eager is she to find Shepard's body?
She saw the destruction of the Normandy, knowing Shepard was onboard so for her it must have been logical to think that Shepard would now be in heaven. So she thought she knew where Shepard was now and that must have lessened her longing to find his body.

Even if Ashley had an opportunity she couldn't do more than bury Shepard. Probably the Alliance didn't have resources like Cerberus and necessary technology to resurrect someone. Alliance left Shepard's body on the planet. So what? Maybe they wanted leave him where the Normandy is. Captain stays with the ship is, eh? I know, it may sounds silly but it's how I see it. Everyone keep saying that the Alliance and VS abandon Shepard... Just because they couldn't bring him back to life? That's stupid.

^ That's what I said I think.
The captain stays with the ship. Why should they bring Shepard's body home? After all, s/he lost all of his/her relatives (except Spacer!Shep) and his/her home was the Alliance military. And a spacer has no home except space itself.

So no need to "bring Shepard home". No need to do a risky mission in the Terminus Systems to collect that corpse.

I think she wanted to leave his body where it was.
Really want to find out what happened to Ash in the two years Shepard was gone.

Question: does anyone want to meet Ashley's three sisters? i think it would be awesome.

That gives me a great Halloween idea! Zombie Shepard!

As for @racer's question - I think poor Shepard doesn't want to be surrounded by all those women gossiping about him. If my sister is an example, put a bunch of girls and one guy together and he gets torn up.

Shepard around Ashley's sisters? It could be pretty amusing, but I doubt there will be a time for something like that. Although I would really like to meet them.

Concur. I'd love to meet them.
(Shepard will compare if he got the beauty out of the bunch. I bet he's going to have a hard time since I think the Williams sisters are all beautiful.)

Yes but what if they're like the Cinderella's stepsisters? Evil and ugly? :)  Hehe, just being hypothetical!

*Edit: Need some good forum reading / work music!

One of the many reasons my main shep has little time for the Alliance brass is that they rescued the living and left the dead to rot without even a proper burial. My Shep had to rectify that disgace himself. I doubt those being rescued from the escape pods such as Kaidan or Ahsley had any say in the matter.

Ashley's little sister Sarah helped, my Shepard would so thank her. I'm replaying ME2 again, just finished up with mordin's recruiting mission. decided to complete ME 100%, adds heaps more dialogue.

you're right, even if the Alliance would possibly allow her I doubt she would ahve worked with cerberus to get Sheaprd's body back, she might have betrayed them and just put shepard in an unmarked grave somewhere rather than give her to Cerberus to be revived.(who knows what that would ahve done to her beliefs to take shepard "away from god") and that could have scared her for the rest of her life, who knows?

also i think the "says the dead spectre working for Cerberus is a playful jab like "look who's talking :P" and it's not her fault you chose to stay with cerberus, just her fault you're alive in the first place.

I can't help but think Ashley loves to play pranks on people occasionally. A thought that doesn't want to let me go. It's been a while, but here's some dialogue again, about just that.

Ashley: Hey Vega! what’s up?
Vega: I-you!
Ashley: Uhm, I think I dropped in at the wrong moment.
Vega: I don’t wanna talk to you!
Ashley: Oh not still because of Christmas.
Vega: I looked like a fool in that outfit! And now it’s all over the extranet, thanks to Joker.
Ashley: Yeah *bursts out in a giggle* we didn’t think you’d actually believe us.
Vega: You and your “Oh look James, it’s a tradition! I did it too.” crap.
Ashley: But it is a tradition.
Vega: Yeah-yeah… Since when!
Ashley: Since you started it off. Aww, don’t look so sour. I know a thing or two about being bullied too you know.
Vega: You do?
Ashley: Yeah, three younger sisters. Always jealous of your stuff. “Lynn! Don’t use my expensive, only-for-luxurious-dates parfum!”, “Abby how dare you wear my 20th birthday necklace!” It’s tiring when they are in the steal everything your bigger sis has to impress friends stage. Though, nothing the ol’ boot can’t correct.
Vega: You did what?!
Ashley: I’m kidding.
Vega: Still, it’s nothing like standing in a bright red Santa suit on the extranet!
Ashley: Look on the bright side, the comments said you looked quite buff for Santa. *sniggers* Sorry…So, wanna go screw with Garrus’s calibrations?
Vega: Yeah! All he does is play Space-invaders anyway.

What kind of prank do you all think ashley would play on others? Or would she even do that?

Me like it.

Just in case you won't come back this time, Skipper. I love you. That's what I wanted to tell you last time. Whew ... now it's out - it's said. Don't dare to die ... for the next hundred years or so. I can't drag your sorry ass out of hell like Cerberus did. Dealing with the devil needs a devil. I'd like to stay your guardian angel.
- Ashley Williams, final words before the battle.

Good night everyone

Not in my game. :P

Headcanon, remember.

My Shepard doesn't even really like liara... and he was all... "why are you hugging me Liara!?" *awkward face*
