Replaying Mass Effect, I got the dialogue about Ashley's sisters again. I had forgotten about them, but I would really like to meet at least Sara. She seems pretty cool.

That's not completely true. Shepard has  the dialogue sure, but male shep also has dialogue where he says he's a woman (with liara). It's possible they were suppose to be bi and it got cut, but i think it's more likely those were just left over lines that never got taken out of the script.

Unless I missed something where a dev said they were originally bi.

last time I played any ME... um, it's been months for sure.

I remember a dev saying that it's faster to just have Jen Hale and Mark Meer record all the lines, then choose which ones to implement.  Of course, you also can't overlook the fact that, even if modded, both Kaidan and Ashley have full romance dialogue in ME1 for S/S.  Which brings up the old argument that the Fox news debacle killed them being Bi.

That's because Femshep/Maleshep are the same character. the main point of their statements are the same with a few tweaks. look them up and you'll see the dialogue was recorded for both. They were written for both genders.

I'm not seeing why its a problem.

Nah, it's not that it's specific.  If you're talking about ME1, it's that FemShep's lines are fully voiced.  ME3?  We'll have to wait and see.

There's not a problem. I'm just saying that instead of thinking that ash/kaidan were bi, it's just as likely Male/Female shepard just recorded each others lines. Which is why I gave the example of how Male shepard will call himself a woman, yet everyone doesn't seem to think that bioware cut out the gender switcher machine last second.
