There I was, a tough as nails Gunnery Chief, crying over the grave of someone who didn't even lie in it. Someone who was drifting through space inconceivably far away. Yeah, something like that, it changes you.
Most people used to regard me as a bit of a tomboy and back than "Tomboy" and "Crying" didn't go together in my eyes.

So I changed: the bun? Gone. The so called tomboyish stuff I wore off duty? Gone. (And yes, I did wear something else instead) I didn't want to be called a tomboy anymore, I didn't want to be associated with ust a strong woman. I was more, I am more. If Shepard made me realize anything, it's that I'm good enough. "Tomboy" and "strong woman" were not good enough.

I looked feminine again. Just like when I was seventeen. Old friends looked at me in an odd way, Anderson even looked at me in a disapproving manner, but new ones didn't. Infact they only ever knew feminine Ash and they seemed to like it as much as me. It had made me more confident than I had been in a long time.

It's only Speculation right now(Theirs a 50/50 Chance she is Bi). Some assume she is Bi, Since Raphael
Sbarge (Kaidan) Confirmed he recorded Gay Romance Dialogue. Some Believe if Kaidan is Bi, Ashley must be too.

Plus allot Dialogue from the leaked Script is Gender Neutral, We can't tell if she is talking to Male Shepard or Female Shepard.

i remember bioware saying ashley in me and miranda in me2 were orignally meant to be love interests for both male and female sheps!
