yea but that message made me figure it was over for us in her mind I allready died once so those feelings between us died also shes allready mourned my loss so coming back into her life and expecting her to still love me was unfair I suppose
Funny. I thought that message Ashley wrote after Horizon was an attempt to open closed doors again.
You definitely should hear the reading of Kimberly Brooks - highly recommended.
And about the trust issue ... it's been discussed for a bazillion times now. Try to imagine yourself being a loyal soldier of your army. Your commanding officer and friend suddenly vanishes and returns two years later with the colors of the other team, maybe a terrorist organization. Would you trust him or her? Even if that one has good reasons for his/her doings you won't believe him.
Ashley / Kaidan weren't distrusting Shepard in ME1. They both distrusted him in ME2 since Shepard was working for Cerberus - an organization well known for its crimes. The VS and Shepard had a very brief dialogue - not enough to explain anything. And Shepard tried to recruit the VS for the mission (read: indirectly for Cerberus). Can you trust this person? I couldn't.
There's a nice debate going on in the spoiler group ... a very ... heated debate. A lot of guys still didn't get why Ashley/Kaidan reacted like they did on Horizon. Some of them are acting almost pathologically
If someone can give a POV on why Shepard would lose his love for Ashley on Horizon, that's okay. I have read a post where someone explained why their Shepard walked away never wanting to speak to Kaidan again and it made sense for that Shepard. That was why I originally came to the BSN ... To hear how others were RPing and to share different ways to play the game.
What threw me was how person A would say "This is how you should feel about that character/scene" and person B would counter "What? You are wrong. This is how you should feel about it" ... The game is about choices but sometimes it seems like people forget that.
I have a Shepard that walked away hating the VS while another Shepard walked away feeling hurt but still loving the VS. There is no wrong or right way to play that scene ... it all depends on the player and their Shepard. If you and by extension your Shepard requires full cooperation of the VS and therefore wants to punch the VS in the face for not following him/her ... okay.
This moment of truth came after I blew on a thread because I thought what people were saying was wacked and after I had my yucky moment, realized that I was doing the same thing ... taking a character, Ash in that instance, hostage. Not one of my better moments on the BSN. But hey, it taught me a valuable lesson.
The lesson was, when I see the same people debating the same things over and over ... From Ashley's "racism" to Liara's "stalker behavior". The same people ... over and over. That tells me that no one is really listening to what the other person says so its a waste of time. Unless you like to argue or debate. When a person shares their viewpoint and you share yours and you start to take from each other different ideas then its fun. If not ... if each person digs in their heels then I'm moving on. For me, I just like hearing and sharing different ways to see a scene and/or characters.
But that is just my opinion, no need of spreading it around.
