Ugh, yes, I am glad that at least one squadmate will wear those pressurized helmets. Hopefully Vega will too.

Considering how the Squad is looking, Liara is going to be the odd man out this time. Garrus wears a helmet, Tali always wears a helmet, and Shep, Ash/Kai, and Vega are all Alliance so they will too.

I am oddly relieved that she's not wearing that see-through surgeon's mask like Liara is.

I don't get why Bioware is literally against vaccume friendly helmets for all characters (Chris basically said that they really didn't want everyone to have a helmet-- but didn't explain why), but I'm glad that Ash has one.

Also, the aesthetics of the game have changed SO MUCH since ME2. In a good way I guess. But look at the metals, lighting, shadows, and textures in general. Its not so much that they're evolved as they are completely different.

I'm guessing the logic behind it is that they have personal barriers that pick everything up. this is on Mars which has it's own atmopshpere and in Mass effect has been terra formed to be habitable, it's not like they're in the middle of space. Through Me2 and now Me3 everyone that's a soldier or infiltrator class has a helmet since they have no biotic barrier.

a very, very awesome thing. Like. They couldn't have done any better. Maybe her own specialized heavy armor but that's being stupidly picky. Femshep armor is obviously top of the line armor in the universe. 

I'd rather have Ashley in my squad, not FemShep.

I simply love Ashley's armor. At least she has one and she looks amazing, deadly and ... like Ash.

Doesn't need much to make me happy. ^^

This is a pretty nice explanation for it AD, I actually hadn't noticed that before. Sure, I like the option to give anyone solid armour too, but if a soldier doesn't have it it's incredibly weird. If a biotic doesn't have it, it's tolerable. It's not like the ME universe was ever incredibly realistic, although they might have made more of an effort in ME1 than in 2 regarding this.

It's like Bioware didn't try, just a cheap way to get the fans to shut up. C'mon... you honestly don't think this is best Bioware could do?

Looks like I'll be using her lighter outfit more than I expected.

@Obvakhi; I don't really have a problem with it, it has its own unique colour palette and I'm guessing it's top notch armour so it would be desirable. Yes they could've put more time into that, but I would rather have them put time in other things and thus it's probably not the best Bioware can do, but in the time span they chose to create this game it might very well be for the better of the entire game they don't spent that much time on it. The face and the voice are what matter to me the most, as long as she wears something that makes sense I'm fine with it.

If Ashley would've had her own unique armour I would've probably looked at it for a bit thinking it looks pretty cool and then moved on until you don't really notice it anymore after a while (unless it's incredibly awesome). Ofcourse that might not be the same for everybody.

@obvahki you forget Shepard's armor is cutting edge. The fact that Ashley is wearing it is a great sign because Spectre's have the best gear. Also femshep is the most lethal soldier in the galaxy so you should want femshep in your squad.

Ha! I saw that and came here to be like "HEY GUYS!" and lo and behold there are screenshots and everything.   Now, as much as I love Ash I couldn't help but get totally giddy and squee a little over the obvious ROBO DOG WALKING AROUND IN THE BACKGROUND.

Oh missed that one. Seems BW listened to us guys. Blue ex-white pants are full of win - Ashley's uniform finally looks like one. Thanks Ryazki for that find.

Looks like all of our wishes finally made it in the game:
- ARMOR (looks awesome)
- HELMET and no breather mask
- FACE looks like Ashley again
- CASUAL UNIFORM gets rid of those white pants and comes with blue pants
- CHARACTER stays Ashley
- FULFILLING LOVE

Yeah. F*ck yeah. Mind anyone if I do a happy dance now?
