Hey Badpie. I was re-reading Untilted Effect, and I couldn't help but wonder, just who is that woman 'Jess' and her son Jack? Who are they to your Shepard? I mean, I gather that she's an old flame, but are you planing on revisiting that?

That was mainly for background for Shep.  I may or may not touch on them again, but they're definitely just people from his past.  It was mainly meant to show more of who he is.  The past is very relevant to who a character is and how they interact with other characters and in life in general.  .....Like how he interacts with Ashley....see how I brought that back to her? hehehe

I feel the same way about the past. That is why I wrote A Thessian's Whisper starting with Shepard at 10 ... I always wondered what she had lost on Mindoir and that was the reason to write it. To get to know her family, her friends, her life that was completely lost when she was 16.

It is also helping me see how her relationship with Ash will be. Funny how putting the characters down on paper can change your views about characters and relationships.

I've thought about what Ashley's life was like pre-Normandy ... her younger years. Has anyone written about her pre-Normandy?

I know that THIS has been posted a bunch, but this guy's edit of her reading makes it a lot better.  It really is a great job by Brooks and the images and music make it much better.

Yeah, I hear that. The music combined with the video itself made me overlook the melodramatic voice, although I was still glad to hear Kimberly Brooks's voice play Ash on the message. Definitely beats trying to guess how Ash is saying the message.

Dunno.  But I'm thinking you should have at least one save where you don't move on to a new love interest.  Could go bad.  I mean.... plus then you're not only a jerk to Ashley but to Miranda as well if you go back to Ash.  Make up your mind, Shep!

Then all of my shepards are going to have problems lol, because I have some who were with liara who then cheated with Tali and then some who stayed loyal. I mostly did that for the achievements and didn't want to start a new game.
