It's a shame because he puts out some beautiful Kaidan artwork. I know that he is not a fan of Liarabut I've never seen him comment on Ashley. Oh, well. He is really talented.
I'd love a femshep with Ashley by him. Maybe them on the battlefield together.
IsaacShep hangs out on the s/s thread quite a bit. He has said that Kaidan survives on all his saves. I don't think he has any ill will toward Ashley, other than the fact that he had to choose between him and her.

Never said Ashley would. I'm saying Ashley isn't going to play stupid and fight in close quarters. (Sorry, but that's Miranda's only effective range as of ME2) And that Miranda can die just like everyone else... she doesn't have super human regenerative powers no matter how much you want her to.
No she failed, the objective was to get the small team through, she didn't get everyone through. Someone dying is just "icing on the cake" that they didn't get? Yeah, ok.
She doesn't command anything, that's why Jack/Garrus speak out against her in the briefing room. Her attitude is such that no one wants to follow her lead.
And sure she's doing her duties by giving options but she's also doing it a way that always says, "pick me! I'm better than everyone cause I'm perfect"

We know Miranda is a very powerful sentinel, but what I find curious is how other soldier types have been portrayed so far. Zaeed, Grunt, Shepard, they all have legendary durability, toughness, and resilence. I wonder if this is the case because only these types could do battle with biotic and tech warriors and those that don't have these qualities wash out. And we have to ask ourselves if we think Ashley is cut from the same cloth as those I've mentioned, yes or no its really just a matter of opinion, but if no why then would Shepard or the Alliance want her on the Normandy for there most critical missions of all time.
This is how I think a battle between them would go down, and this is all encompassing for a variety of situations excluded a cage match. Both of them would know that without the element of surprise an initial attack by Ashley would be suicide, therefore she would have to lie in wait for Miranda to make the first move. Biotics are very powerful but they can exhaust themselves, and I think Miranda would need every little bit of those biotics and tech powers to take Ashley down, therefore Miranda would have to go completely against her nature with a kill or be killed attack.
It really comes down to whether or not Ashley can survive this onslaught and win or die, and I think if they had this fight a thousand times its very likely they split. I would give a slight edge to Miranda based on the unknowns about Ashley though.

No, the push back is the icing on the cake. where Jack and Samara turn around, push the field back to knock everyhting back then swagger through the door way. It's also just to make the decision ambiguous since it thinks it's the first time you've made the suicide mission. Not "just pic samara and let's go" that's too easy. Jack/Garrus speak out because someone is going tos peak out against Miranda, just like Miranda says "any biotic could do it" to make oyu think about who you want to pick. Miranda DOES command respect, they get one outburst but follow her anyway That's loyalty through respect, they might not like it but combat isn't a popularity contest. Ashley doesn't think Wrx and Garrus could be trausted in ME1 but she's not going to just turn on Wrex in the middle of a fire fight. It took Wrex pointing a gun at Shepard to get her to think of killing him. Leadership does not mean popular, end of story.xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...

plus Miranda's already the XO. She knows the ins and outs of everyone's skills so no matter who Sheard takes with them and send sin the vents she knows how to position everyone so that she gets the best out of them.Made Nightwing wrote...

You msut not have been paying attention to her dialogues, her father had her doing military training and she ran away as a teen. She's pretty much a Spartan II from the Halo series Ashley's 26-29 and joined the alliance at 18. Miranda's trained longer, has a better build, wider skill set, higher regeneraive skill so it'll be hard for Ashley to defeat her in combat. Hopefully I will never have to find out because then my Shepard's are going into the fetal position if their XO for life has to fight either VS.
To solve that issue:
Check back the war in Iraq or Afghanistan. Both were/are wars between a high-tech nation with highly trained soldiers vs ancient weaponry of Cold War and militia. All they've got were an AK47, a clip or two, maybe an old RPG and their faith.
Even they can take down a highly trained soldier with exactly one shot. All they need is an ambush.
It doesn't matter how much time is spend on training: you still can get killed by one stray bullet.
Miranda isn't fighting a random citizen with an outdated gun in our little contest but a highly trained soldier of the Alliance with a reputation: Hero of the Citadel. Ashley achieved more in less than "perfect Miranda". I doubt Miranda saw that much grunt work as well (when you meet her first): she seems to have more experience as an assassin than anything else. Just my imagination - she doesn't fit into the field.
And: age means not much.
In short: Miranda & Ashley are pretty much even. If both could use same weaponry, Miranda might win - since she's not trained with assault and sniper rifles, Ashley has a good chance to win a duel at mid or long range.
And maaaybe we should quit bashing Miranda for Ashley or vice versa in this thread. I'd say, of all ME characters, Ashley and Miranda are pretty much even on the field, but cover entirely different tactics. Ashley has a greater diversity of tactics - can best nearly everyone in a close, med or long range fight. Miranda is more specialized and tops pretty much everyone in close combat.

The day before the fight:
So, under an incredibly air-tight false identity, probably secured through her galaxy saving boyfraaaan, Miranda would procure a good amount of dry ice. When Ash is sleeping, she'd sneak into her room, make sure all windows are shut, she’d seal off doors and let the dry ice sublimate. As the gaseous carbon dioxide slowly fills the room, Ashley will begin to suffocate. In the morning, RandaPanda would come by, return theroom to its previous state, and walk out. Ash will have suffocated with no physical evidence of strangulation on her body and the air will return to normal atmospheric conditions.
The service will be held at the sandwich shop she liked on the wards.

No bashing plz
Have an Ashley instead:

And a dialogue:
Joker: What do you think, Commander, who's going to win? Miranda or Ashley?
Shepard: Depends on the contest.
Joker: A good ol' fight. Without guns, biotics and anything else except some bare skin and hands.
Shepard: Mud wrestling? No thanks, that's not what our training pit was intended for. Besides that, I doubt you'll convince Ash or Miranda doing that.
Miranda: To do what?
Shepard: Ask Joker, Miranda.
Joker: Thanks for stabbing me in my back, Commander ...
Miranda: Spit it out, Joker.
Joker: The Commander and I were talking about you and Ashley having a fighting contest.
Miranda: That's not a fair contest. Ashley can't best me. My biotics and my superior skills with any weapon ...
Joker: Technically, no weapons and biotics are allowed. It's a hand-to-hand fight. In the pit.
Miranda: No problem. My superior reflexes should be enough.
Joker: It's a mud wrestling contest ... *ducks*
Shepard: It was his idea.
Miranda: Acknowledged. Williams!
Ashley: You've yelled, Lawson?
Shepard: *whispers* Seems they're still mad at each other, Jeff. Your little prank last week seriously p*ssed them off.
Joker: *whispers* Yeah ... however, that might increase the chances for a good ol' mud fight.
Shepard: *whispers* It also increases the chance for getting airlocked.
Miranda: You. Me. Got it, Williams?
Ashley: Make me.
Miranda: Say it again and I'll do.
Ashley: Make me.
Miranda: You asked for it!
Joker: When does the fight take place?
Ashley/Miranda: What fight?
Joker: That mud wrestling contest, ladies!
Miranda: I'd say ...
Ashley: ... we have a throwing contest here ...
Miranda: ... throwing Jeff Moreau out of the airlock ...
Ashley: ... for playing pranks with the only two women in this universe that shouldn't get pranked ...
Miranda: ... since it's plain stupid. And deadly.
Joker: Commander ...
Shepard: Don't ask me, I warned you: "don't get between both".
Joker: Anyone?
EDI: I could use internal defense systems to dispatch Miss Lawson and Miss Williams.

Since it's official now ...
EDI: Like my new body?
Ashley: Hmm ... I'm indifferent, EDI. It looks nice and such ... but definitely could use some stuffing here and there.
EDI: Specify.
Ashley: First of all, your face isn't feminine enough. You might make it a bit rounder ... like ... mine.
EDI: I understand. So I should look a bit more like you?
Ashley: Hey ... you just gave me an idea, EDI. You should look like me - act like me ... I just wanna test Skipper ...
EDI: Playing a prank to Shepard? I like jokes!
Ashley: I know. Here's the plan ...
*later*
*Doorbell rings*
Shepard: Come in, Ashley.
Ashley: Hey Skip. Hope you remember our date?
Shepard: Of course. Just gimme five and we can go.
Ashley: Fine ... I'm waiting here.
Shepard: Hang on, need to go to my bathroom first ...
*Shepard enters bathroom, EDI!Ash comes in*
*a bit later*
Shepard: Sooo ... I'm done. Ashley, we can g- ... woah?!
Ashley: Is something wrong?
EDI!Ash: What's up?
Shepard: Wait ... I'm not drunk, right? Why can I see TWO Ashleys?!
Ashley: This is a dream, Skipper. We're here ...
EDI:Ash: ... to make you feel good enough ...
Ashley: ... This isn't going to be a date, Skip ...
EDI:Ash: ... you're going to have us tonight ...
Shepard: Wait, stop, STOP! That's not funny. EDI, who's that second Ashley? Some VI?
EDI!SR2: Negative. Second Ashley appears to be Ashley. Identity confirmed. Williams, Ashley Madeline, S1, registry number-
Shepard: Okay, okay. Two Ashleys. Two times the fun, ey? I'm not buying this, Ash - whoever you are.
EDI!Ash: I'm Ash. Can't you see it?
Ashley: And I'm Ash too. Remember, this is a dream ...
EDI!SR2: You're dreaming, Shepard ... let the dream happen ... let the dream happen ...
Ashley: Let it happen!
EDI!Ash: I feel good enough with you, John.
Ashley: Make us feel good enough.
EDI!Ash: Oh Captain, my Captain ...
Ashley: ... .let it happen ...
Shepard: I'm awake, I'm awake ... *closes eyes - opens eyes again* ... still two Ashleys ... ARGH! Sorry you two, definitely need to take a cold shower ... definitely ...
*Shepard flees into bathroom*
Ashley: *whispers* EDI, good job. Better wait outside now.
EDI!Ash: Understood.
*EDI!Ashley leaves the cabin*
*Shepard returns*
Ashley: Hey Skipper. Everything alright - you look worried?
Shepard: Yeah ... I'm okay ... just a bad dream ... a bad one. Must fell asleep or something ... but it felt so real.
Ashley: Mind to tell me about that dream?
Shepard: It was awkward. That's everything. Maybe I'm just overworked or so. Saw two Ashleys. And both wanted ... yeah ... do it. Threesome. Ashley + Ashley + me.
Ashley: Nasty ... as if I would do it.
Shepard: Uhh ... yeah. Like the miniskirt thing.
Ashley: Yeah, like that.
Shepard: Thank god that dream is over. I'm done - ready for a date, Ashley?
Ashley: Ready as ever. C'mon, Skip, you wasted enough time already. *smiles*
Shepard: Lets go then.
*Both leave room and go to observation deck*
Shepard: So, here we are. Hope you like it.
Ashley: It's wonderful ...
EDI:Ash: Indeed, it is ... now ... let it happen, John!
Shepard: O.O
