that is one of my biggest problems with ash is that she says what ever is on her mind, and I hope that is gone in 3. I also didn't like her poems that she did or what ever it is, cause everytime I heard her say those stuff I just wanted to tell her to shutup about the poems.
So a couple of her defining traits and... you hate them. <_<
lol OOOOKAY.

Ya never know. She might be.
Are people complaining about Ash's poetry again? Seriously? Ok, I'll to ahead and admit that I found it strange at first and like Shepard, I didn't expect it, but I found it endearing later. Especially during the final romance scene.

people are always going to complain about her because she's a fairly intimidating character. She wasn't written so that everyone would like her and that's ok.

Ashley: 'Admiral', he means.
Clerk: Of course, One moment please.
Shepard: Of course.
Ashley: You alright?
Shepard: Concerned. Nervous. And in the mood for a 'mum-hug'.
Ashley: 'Mum-hug'?
Shepard: I missed my mother. Haven't seen her in fou - six years.
Ashley: I know, John. I know.
Clerk: She's in room 304. Visiting hours end in half an hour.
Shepard: Thank you. *He and Ash leave*
Ashley: 09... 07... 05 and 04.
Shepard: I figured Dad'd be here, but apparently not.
Ashley: He might be inside, or out to lunch?
Shepard: I dunno. *sigh* moment of truth. *knocks on the door.*
Hannah: Come.
Ashley: Hello Admiral, how are you?
Hannah: I'm... *John walks in*... fine.
Shepard: Hi mum.
Hannah: *starts tearing up slightly* John... It's wonderful to see you.
Shepard: Yeah. Uh. Your looking better than I hoped.
Hannah: And you've lost more weight than I would have liked.
Shepard: Uh, yeah.. occupational hazards.
Ashley: I've been trying to meat him up a bit, but John's a stubborn man.
Hannah: Yes, he gets it from his father.
Shepard: 'He' is still in the room.
Hannah: Come here John. Your mother deserves a hug, doesn't she?
Shepard: Oh, why not? *hugs Hannah, she then slaps him over the head.*
Hannah: You stupid idiot! How dare you die!
Shepard: How the hell is that my fault!
Ashley: Should

Hannah: Yes, go please. John and I have some family business.
Shepard: b-b-but! Ashley!
Ashley: Tata John.
Shepard: *pathetic whimper as he watches her leave*
Hannah: Now, onto business. When are you planning to marry that girl?
Shepard: *head snaps around* What?

Dunno, that basically means you want Ashley's character gone & twisted in a way she's no longer Ash.seirhart wrote...

I must say I admire her attitude to freely speak her mind. She's not "political correct", she's absolutely honest - that's what I love.
Poems - although I like it, I can understand why others aren't biggest fans of this side of Ash. I think it's cute, somewhat sexy, especially with the right tone: "Oh Captain, my Captain". Ash manages it to make Poems sexy, even if they're from a sad story (like said "Oh Captain, my Captain".
Overall: think Ash will be pretty much the same in ME3. I want that straight-forward woman back.
I support the second part of your statement: it's good Ashley causes so many strong feelings - that means, the writer did a great job and made her a believeable, authentic character.Complistic wrote...

people are always going to complain about her because she's a fairly intimidating character. She wasn't written so that everyone would like her and that's ok.
The worst fate of any fictional character is not "I hate him/her" but an indifferent opinion and indifferent feelings - in short: "meh". A character you don't care for won't ever add anything important to the story for you ... or could spoil the entire story, if it's made FOR said character.
Now, lets say ME was done for Ash and you love her - you definitely want to see the ending.
If you hate Ash in that same story, you want also see that ending - and you hope for a permanent ending of Ash and some painful moments.
Strong feelings = good.
Weak feelings = not so good.
No feelings = bad.
Definitely. It shows an entirely other side of Soldier!Ashley and also might hint that she's been more than the tough grunt. Maybe she's even a quite decent civilian, maybe she wants family, write a book, do some non-military stuff? Who knows ...redbaron76 wrote...
Her poetry makes her more human. Ashley gots a soul of a poet. And she is a perfect shot. VEry good squadmate for my shepard to have by his side, when he goes reaper hunting.
Think her poetic side makes her more interesting, especially since that's one of the traits I absolutely love to find in a woman.
And I love your dialogue - why did you post it twice with just a couple of extra lines? Mind to write part 2? And what happened to your vacation, Aurora

I hope so too Something like Kasumi's mission where it's a two woman job so it's just Shepard and the VS.Fiery Phoenix wrote...
It just occurred to me that Ashley and Kaidan are the only two squadmates introduced so far that don't have a mission directly tied to them in either ME1 or ME2. What are the chances that we get such a quest in ME3? (I, for one, would be so down for it!)

Chances are extremely high.
Also changes are very high the VS has some major influence on the story in ME3.

Since I found a post of AD a year ago ... he loves girls names with an "A" and such ... why did you fall in love with Ashley?

ugh she's hideous, what was bioware thinking?
/sarcasm
I dig her jacket also. Has a very 80's sci fi feel to it that they were seriously missing in ME2.
