Why that, Complistic? It's not the best picture, but she's also not ugly ^^
She looks a bit "checking out his fine ass" or something.

Have a beauty-double ^^

I was just mocking people who act like that.

I was missing the sarcasm-part, Complistic ^^

So - and why do you love her? When did it happen? For me, it's a short story: first playthrough was intended to be with Liara but I stopped somewhere at/around Virmire. Never finished that one.
Next playthrough is "Jacob Shepard", and think I started it 2008 or so. Full paragon dude and for him I picked Ash as LI since I wasn't too much impressed with Liara's romance. And I was really surprised - Ashley's romance felt realistic.

I fell for her once she started to do the poem stuff and when she was talking about her family's history. And her looks ... fantastique! Simply love her.

I love Ashley because of how real her character is, something no other videogame character could or can quite convey to me in the same manner. She's complex and a challenge, sometimes, mostly when talking one-on-one I love her blunt wit, cheezyness and soft side and at other times I feel slightly repulsed by her harsh comments. I wanted to know what drove the side of her I dislike and wanted to make her see things in a light she normally would not.

No other videogame character made me care for them in such a real way, for me she's a testiment to good character writing. I love being able to analyze a character like I can analyze a real person and, most importantly wanting to carefully analyze her character. That, to me, is special.

jeez, this sounds like a confession group thing or something =P

It just occurred to me that Ashley and Kaidan are the only two squadmates introduced so far that don't have a mission directly tied to them in either ME1 or ME2. What are the chances that we get such a quest in ME3? (I, for one, would be so down for it!)

This is actually why I like them so much TBH. The thing that REALLY bothered me about ME2 is that Shepard spent too much time playing Dr. Phil in space. Jacob and his LM was my favorite in ME2 since HE, at least, didn't have a bunch of psychological baggage that Shepard had to fix (well, in terms of game mechanics he did, but not story wise).

Ashley is a Specter and an Alliance soldier. If she has any "issue" it should be about how best to blow crap up. That mission should be long, complex, and exciting. By the end of it she should be dirty, sweaty and badly in need of a shower. And since Shepard will be with her, he'll need one, too. And with limited resources it would make the most sense for them to shower together...

Um, sorry. I have to stop typing. I got things to do.

^ you could do that more often, tbh ^^

@ Aurora: guess so. And no, I won't write a part III or something. I'm out of good stories - the last good one was with Ash + EDI!Ash ... which is still darn sexy. Maybe I'll give it another try. Then again, I can't keep it appropriate, so ... no :D

Chances are extremely high.
Also changes are very high the VS has some major influence on the story in ME3.

Since I found a post of AD a year ago ... he loves girls names with an "A" and such ... why did you fall in love with Ashley?

um...do you have to ask?Image IPB

No, no. Embarrass the HELL out of Shepard. He's talking to his mother after all, should be easy. And have Ash walk in at an embarrassing moment. :P

She could always ask momma Shepard to break out his/her old baby pictures.

Yes! Because I'd like to know what makes one to love Ash. It's not the same stuff for everyone, you know? :P

@ Aurora: I'll give it a try. Maybe later, maybe tomorrow, depending on my imagination. Currently, it shows Ashley looking left and right and shrugging since she got no lines to speak.

That picture is not really fair to Miranda (not a fan of Miranda myself) unless that is supposed to be  how she looks in ME3?

My Story (I can't really explain WHY I fell for her, but I feel like sharing the story anyway :D)

The first time I played ME was December 2007, my brother introduced it to me.
But I just played it for like 2 hours and I didn't liked Ashley that much, well I was 17, my favorite games at that time were all about shooting people. (still love those games though, lol)
So I wasn't a fan of Mass Effect from the start.
Years later I played Dragon Age Origins and I loved it (even though I never liked rpg games) so I got interested in Bioware's work.
When ME 2 was about to release I gave ME 1 another try with the intend my Shepard's going to romance Miranda in ME 2.... well that was my plan. Then I played ME 1, I talked to all the Squaddies and literally fell for Ashley Image IPB, she's different and you have to get to know her to understand her.
As I said I didn't liked her the first time because I haven't talked to her that much.

No ... yes ... no ... ARGH! ;)

I think she was really hot - but hot isn't everything. To be sexy you need character. Now you understand, young Padawan

She was always good looking. The only thing that's changed in ME3 is she's let her hair down. She's got some kickass armor/outfits now too.

It just seems odd to me, and you're not the only one, that suddenly decided they needed to have a playthrough with her now that she ditched the bun.

i romanced her on one of my very first playthroughs......im more upset she didnt have a bigger role in me2. either way there are plenty of saves on the internet i can pick from. ive logged too many hours on 1 and 2(mostly liara and tali romances). burned out. :(
