Lt. Commander Ashley Williams thread: "Don't 'Ash' me!" We're Back Baby!

It's just that: Shepard & Liara are poster characters this time, Vega follows. Ash had her few seconds in the leaked beta / E3 demo. Kaidan didn't show up yet. Same for half of the ME2 cast. They won't show them any time soon - except they're going to make a second part of that VA-cast vid.

Ashley: We were actually coming to see you.
Shepard: We need to talk Rox.
Pierce: ... uh, I guess this isn't a situation where I should try to be flirty, huh?
Shepard: No it's not. Sorry.
Ashley: No easy way to put this. You need to stop.
Pierce: What? Acting flirt?
Shepard: We know that its a cry for attention, and I know that you really have no other way of expressing interest in others beyond that. But it has to come to a stop. Or trim it down a spell.
Pierce: ... Ok.
Shepard: Wha -
Ashley: Really? That easily?
Pierce: If you had an issue with it, all you had to do was say so.
Ashley: Not a issue, just shave it down a bit.
Pierce: Ok. Easy enough.
Shepard: ... seems almost too easy.
Allers: Hello, my name is Diana Allers, I'm going to be stationed on the Normandy as per the agreement between the Alliance Public Relation committee and President Huerta.
Shepard: Must of missed a memo, *clears throat* Wel-
Pierce: Welcome aboard, Ms Allers. This is Commanders Shepard and Williams: CO and XO of the Normandy respectively. I'm Captain Pierce, and Is be delighted to give you a tour.
Allers: I'd love one, thank you!
*they walk off*
Ashley: She just blew us off.
Shepard: b!tch works fast.
Ashley: She's your sister.
Shepard: Don't remind me...

Sombody should ask Ashley and Kaidan's voice acters on twitter if they did a vid. I doubt it though. Bioware don't like showing them because of the whole "I fill your shoes" thing going on with them. You either have one of the other. If you get me.
Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan) is tops in my books. He not only gave us that interview with Kimberly Brooks and her reading the Horizon e-mail but he just posted an interview with Jennifer Hale (FShep) http://fangeek.com/c...arge-audioblog/. He also great on "Once Upon A Time".
I met an Ashley fan this weekend at the Xena Con and he had not heard the reading so I pulled out my phone and played it for him. That was one happy camper! Yep, if I ever meet Raphael I'm giving him a hug!

I doubt we're going to see Raph & Kim in any vid anytime soon. Think they're simply less supported by BW but at least they're well aware about THEIR fanbase. *g*
PMC: cute story *g*
Aaand a dialogue:
Allers: This is Diana Allers, embedded journalist for Alliance Network News. I'm be part of Commander Shepard's crew and today I'm talking to Lieutenant Commander Ashley Williams. Commander Williams, how are you?
Ashley: Nice to meet you, Miss Allers.
Allers: You're one of the few people who know Shepard for a really long time now. If my sources are right, you joined the Commander's crew three years ago shortly after you got rescued by him on Eden Prime.
Ashley: That's correct. I lost my entire unit while defending the Colony and almost got caught too. However, Commander Shepard showed up just in time and saved me, several Colonists and the Colony itself.
Allers: After that you made it through several missions with him, most notable the assignment on Noveria, the missions on Feros and Therum. You also lost Lieutenant Alenko in the Virmire assignment and almost had to take down the Krogan Wrex.
Ashley: Hey, didn't know those reports are official now ...
Allers: They aren't - I just was allowed to use them for my preparations.
Ashley: I see. I'm sure you signed an NDA? No details, just the names of places?
Allers: Yes. It makes my job a bit more difficult, but at least I can work at all. Now, what's your opinion on the Battle of the Citadel?
Ashley: Commander Shepard did everything right. He saved the Destiny Ascension with the Council on board at the cost of several Alliance cruisers. Lets hope the Council will support us. In the end we were able to defeat Saren and the Sovereign.
Allers: And what's your image of Shepard as person?
Ashley: He's a strong man, determined ... and loving. Never met someone like him. Shepard bears a fire that made us following right through hell, and few of us were ready to go with him even further. You might see what I'm talking about, once we're arriving our current target.
Allers: I'm sure he'll show his best. Anything else, Commander Williams? I heard you and the Commander ...
Ashley: That's a bit too private for a first interview, Miss Allers, don't you think?
Allers: Of course, I'm sorry, Commander. Didn't want to offend you.
Ashley: No offense taken.
Allers: This was Commander Ashley Williams. Diana Allers, ANN.

No, not really. she just rage quit the conversation. Allers was just a convenient excuse to leave.

Think she's playing nice - and Diana didn't ask something offending.
(I still have no idea about Diana's character. Lets hope she'll interviews the crew and not just Shepard in "private sessions" ^^)

I wouldn't mind an interview montage to separate the acts. Where you have the crew in their station, but relaxed (as much as they can be) and answering questions or just giving their opinion on how the war is going. Reminds me of something that Stargate did in their earlier seasons. Granted that was a sad episode, but still.
Yeah, I remember that one. Dr. Fraiser got KIA in that double episode
Speaking of SG1: compare Sam Carter with Ashley
Think they have a lot in common - including feelings for their CO. While Sam can't go any further, Ash takes the lead when it comes to forbidden love between her and her superior officer ...

Shepley just said 'screw it' on the way to Ilos and did the deed.
I can see the similarities but its not the same.

Oh it's not. And didn't know that about Sam - I'm a SG1 fan
Guess I'm happy now knowing that Sam / O'Neill somehow came together. At least there's potential for them.
Or was. MacGyver got fat
Sure, it's not the same, the romances are entirely different.
However, Ashley and Sam do have some stuff in common:
- both are incredible strong women
- both are fighters, frontline soldiers
- both are passionate characters
- both stand for emancipated women - without degrading men
- both care for their families
- both have military families
Okay, there are also some differences:
- Sam's father was a respected General / Ashley's name was blacklisted
- Sam is blonde and caucasian, Ash is dark haired and comes with hispanic influence
- Sam is incredible smart. Ashley isn't dumb but don't expect her constructing a power generator in the field.
Do I really need to mention I'm a Sam-fanboy?

Ashley: Did you meet that Allers reporter?
Shepard: Diana? Yeah, she was here, just a few minutes ago.
Ashley: Hope your eyes didn't check out her tank top too much.
Shepard: Nope. However ... is it me or does she look a bit like ... yeah, she could be one of your sisters.
Ashley: You realized that, huh? She looks a bit like Abby ... but that's only her hairstyle and her eyes. Her lips are entirely different.
Shepard: Maybe I'll meet your family one day.
Ashley: Only if you stop ogling with that reporter. I know you have a thing for black-haired hazel-eyed women ...
Shepard: Don't worry, Ash. She's not you ... and you're incredible. The woman of my heart is you ...
Ashley: Pulling cheap lines won't bust you out, Skip: I'll watch you. *smirks*
@ Sinapus: truefax. Sam is awesome. You don't need to point that out. Guess that Ash writer was a Sam fan too.

About this interview: Ashley simply wont give any interview. Shepard may have had the option to strike down this **** in ME2, but Ash would actually do it

I'm patient.
I'm patient.
Are we there?
Ashley: Joker, set course to the Citadel.
Joker: Where's Shepard?
Ashley: He's gone.
Joker: Wait, what? Really? Gone or ... gone-gone?
Ashley: He's gone. Took on a drinking contest with Wrex. Then he passed out. Chakwas takes care of him.
Joker: Whew. I thought he's gone for good.
Ashley: Oh, if he wakes up, I'll kill him.
Joker: What ... whatever. You'll have your reasons and I don't wanna know 'em ... setting course, aye Ma'am.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever sacrificed Ashley instead of Kaidan?
