So having just read this:

The labyrinthine complexity of BioWare's branching dialogue needs no introduction; there's a similarly daunting range of possible animations available to express Shepard's past decisions. "In one instance, with Shepard and Ashley in the med bay where she's been injured, if Shepard has a relationship with her, he cradles her and is more worried as the conversation goes on. Whereas if Shepard doesn't have a romantic relationship with Ashley, then he'll carry her in a little more military style."

I have a question, do you reckon Ashley being seriously injured at one point would mean that subsequently she would be left with a lot of permenant scars? Because I remember when Garrus had the scripted injury in Mass Effect 2 he was left with his face in a cast for the rest of the game, so one could assume this would mean the same could apply to Ashley/Kaidan as well.

Somehow Ash fell for him, or rather he fell for her when he woke up in sickbay, though he didn't really understanding those feelings.

First off, yes! That is so neat. My Shepard would be losing his nerve in a situation like this. I just wonder for my female Shepard and Kaidan though. I mean, she can't carry a hunk of a soldier, right? Do you think Vega or Liara will carry Kaidan's legs?  

And..... Ash got shot in the stomach area... probably. So, I don't think we'll actually see any nasty looking scars unless it's in a romance scene. I don't mind, it would make it more realistic if they did. And at that point my Shepard wouldn't care if his woman had some scars, he'd just be glad she's alright.

Not sure if Ash fell in love at first sight with Shepard, but all she knows is that her feelings were growing unusually fast. After all, it took just few months until she was willing to sacrifice her career to be with Shepard (breaking the rule). We know it didn't end her career but yeah ... she was about to do it. Ashley takes what she wants. That's all what counts.

Not sure if Shepard was ready to give up his career for Ashley. O.o


Aaand sorry to hear that - three brothers? That must be hell for the only girl, right? :innocent:

Can't be as bad as Ashley being the eldest of four sisters, I just happen to be the youngest. Tends to be a bit of a pain in the ass, but I wouldnt trade them for the world.

As I said, my Shep doesn't care if Ashley ends with a disfiguring scar. He loves her and although he enjoys her beauty, he also is absolutely in love with her characterwise.

Yeah I think so to, I mean with all the emphasis Bioware has put into making Ashley look sexy it's very doubtful that they'd give her any kind of permenant mark or disfigurement or at least not one that would make her any less physically attractive.

I suppose, always thought that to be a bit mean (and the first time I heard it I actually panicked thinking I had accidently made Shepard make a crude racially charged remark about the attractiveness of turians as a whole, thankfully Garrus laughed along so it was okay) but it would actually raise an interesting thought.
If both the VS and Garrus diced had a near death experience but of the two only Garrus was actually permenantly scarred, would that mean the VS was technically tougher. Because that would be quite an achievement on their part.

Ashley / Kaidan on the other hand? Doubt so. And even if my Ash ends disfigured, I'll keep her. Love is more than looks, you know? :wub:

Truer words not spoken, Ash is always going to be my Ash no matter what physical impact hits her. I'm not so shallow as to give up on her due to a few scars.
Besides on a personal note, while this may be pounding on a dead horse, Ashley could have her face torn off and be reborn as a Necromorph with the attitude of a Firefly Reaver and communicate solely in projectile vomiting and she'd still be a more appealing romance option to me then that Chobot/Snooki/Diana Allers thing.

Okay granted that is a bit mean, for all we know she could turn out to be a good character and I'm willing to give that a chance and am hopeful that this is the case, but as she is currently... ick.

^ nah. Actually, I like Diana, she looks a bit like one of Ashley's sisters.
I won't give sh*t on stuff others say about her until I saw her in my game. That's why ... she might have no other role than being there as another LI for Shep (both genders), but yeah, half of ME3 seems to be fanservice.

Ashley? I'll keep her in my primary playthroughs (currently 3).

Nah - its a love-hate relationship with all four of us, but it works. We want to gouge each others eyes our one minute, then next we're laughing our asses off. It works.

I imagine Ashleys family would be much the same.

I've got a big family too. Growing up, the youngest always gets it the most lol. But they're the one who is protected the most too. Like it's your duty to look out from them in school and out in the streets. If they get in a bad fight, you jump in head first, and start swinging. That's why I always got where Ash was coming from. At the end of the day, if you ain't got fam, who've you got, really?
