I'm not sure if that's normal O.o
The Normandy is Shepard and Ashley's baby? Poor Ash ... try to breastfeed a warship *g*

I definitely want my ship back. Dark. Sexy. Ashley.
So to speak.

@redbaron: mind to give me a tour too? Too bad I'm not a pretty girl *g*

She is pretty:

Ew. Why did you have to take it THAT far. Posted Image
I was just... sorta describing a man's love for his machine. You know what that feels like, right? There is no other love like it. Posted Image

And, yeah... My cold is not normal, and neither am I. I have accepted that.

You gave me that idea, now deal with it.

Dunno really what you mean, tbh. I like my car, but I don't love it. I care for it, but more 'cause it was quite expensive and I'm used to it.
Shepard on the other hand loves his ship because it's the darn finest ship in the fleet!
Plus it got Ashley. :)

*Deals with it*

Man and machine = ultimate love.

My Shepard loves the Normandy. It is his baby. Ashley is going to be so pissed when she realizes my Shepard plans on staying there for the rest of his life. =P He ain't budging woman!

Eventually it will end with a tug of war out the airlock, then Ashley will have her way with him. "Go paint that shed, John!"

Ah, retirement.

Know what?
Riighht ... time for a dialogue, MBE:

Shepard: My baby. My wonderful, sexy, amazing girl ...
Ashley: Aww, that's cute, Skip. I love you too!
Shepard: Uhh ... oh ... Ashley. Hey. I was talking to the Normandy ...
Ashley: Thank you- wait: what?!
Shepard: Sorry, Ash. I talked to my ship. She went through hell and back, got reborn like me ... I love her. God ... that ship is awesome ...
Ashley: Skip, I'm not sure if I should laugh or feel jealous.
-.-

He doesn't talk to the ship! The love between the Normandy and Shepard... It is a silent love, but they completely understand each other. It’s all mystical and sh*t.

Okay, back to Ash. I'm creepin' myself out.

Okay so i just started plaging mass effect 2 for my job so i can further promote me3. Yes i work in a videogame store. When i started out i was a little lost but i quickly got a feel for it. At the time it came out it actually was the best video game made. I became immediately aware that there was a large part of this universe that i was nkt aware of or had participated in and as chance would have it my internet was out so the backstory was unavailable. Shrugging it off i immediately started, chasing tail .Miranda's tail to be specific)

Most new players tend to go for Miranda's ass. They chase that thing through the whole game.

Anyway, I think Ash will be located in the observation deck. James has kind of took her place with the guns. Also, she's an officer now, she's gotta be up top where the business is happening. You know, lookin' sharp.

At the time it came out it actually was the best video game made. I became immediately aware that there was a large part of this universe that i was nkt aware of or had participated in and as chance would have it my internet was out so the backstory was unavailable. Shrugging it off i immediately started, chasing tail. (Miranda's tail to be specific) i worked my way to Horizon and had an awkward conversation with an intriguing and very pissed of cheif of operations. I realized then that me1 might be a little more important than i thought so i did some digging and found a number of romances. Miranda and her perfect body were passed up as i became fascinated by the the exciting blue asari. Enter Tali and i immediately developed a soft spot for her vulnerability and unique situation if intimacy was to be sought out. One day later my internet works and i got the back story but i knew i needed to see how it played out for every LI. I went through each one, even Tali's, i couldnt make a decision without knkwing every variable and temptation i might have to.resist. Finally, i returned to the angry cheif of operations. Despite Miranda's perfect (lets.face it, it is) body, Liara's blue skin and fascinating personality, Tali's sweetness and awkwardness, it was Ashley's romance that really got to me in a way the others didn't. It felt real. Suddenly i understood exactly why Ash was so upset on Horizon and all i wanted to do was fix things wih her very very quickly so i set about tailoring my universe as the ultimate good shepard. Kaidan was sacrificed. Wrex survived. The alien counsel made it. Anderson was a part of that council. The queen of that race which i can never remember made it and i was the spacer war hero. Sadly Ashley was still really pissed but i decided i would earn her trust back. After i got that message i was certain I'd made the right choice.

Just my little Ash story. Felt like sharing.

Ps do a youtube search for ash mass effect 3 sound file and you'll find an epic vid made by a fan. Dont know if this is common knowledge but just in case i thought I'd share.

Oh theeeerrrre's the rest of your post. Haha! I thought that looked odd. Now I understand. Welcome to the thread, Carter!

Yes. You'll find that much of why so many of us dig Ashley is that she seems very real and flawed and the relationship with Shepard isn't all sunshine and roses. Just like in real life friendships and romantic relationships have bad with the good.

I'm glad Ashley has a fair amount of people who dislike her, actually. They're welcome to do so. I think it's a testament to how her character is so rich and complex. I mean there are some pretty unlikable things about Ashley. If I had just met her and hadn't gotten to know her I would find her blunt and loud mouthed and offensive, maybe even kind of a b*tch. But I'm fairly certain that if I had one long conversation with her we would be total girlfriends. haha

To be honest the worst thing about Ashley is her religious belief. I mean, it's the freaking 22nd century! How can anyone believe in that stuff anymore? (nevermind, I know).

@Captin Carter; Ahh that makes a lot more sense! Posted Image welcome!

Wrote a dialogue out of the blue..lol, I guess, it's meant to be something I could imagine to be a convo between shep and ash in ME3.
Ashley: Have you ever felt like you can trust no one Shepard?
Shepard: I don’t think I have, why are you asking?
Ashley: I’m not sure *sighs* I just don’t know if I can trust-…
Shepard: If you can trust…who, exactly?
Ashley: *She looks up and straight into his eyes* You. I don’t trust you like I used too.
Shepard: You’re going to need to have a little faith in me sooner or later Ash, we can’t work together like this.
Ashley: We can, you know, professionally. It’s just that, I’m watching you, all the time and I-I don’t want to, but it just happens, constantly checking if your acting normal.
Shepard: *grins* You never could resist checking me out.
Ashley: You don’t know when to be serious! Everything that happened between us, I don’t know what to make of that anymore. I loved you, then hated you for destroying the image I had of you and now…now it all just spells awkward.
Shepard: It was just a row Ash. Couple’s row. We’ll get over it, just give it a little time.
Ashley: We weren’t a couple Shepard, not yet! God, you really choose your moments to be insensitive don’t you! … Do you know who you are? How do you know you’re even…you? You know, after the whole Lazarus thing. How can you tell? What if this is part of Cerberu-
*PARAGON INTERRUPT*
Shepard: * grabs Ashley softly by her shoulders* Hey…Ash, listen. You’re overreacting, I’m me, I feel like me, and if I’m not it’s just a risk we’re going to have to take. I mean, you might be spying on me for the Alliance for all I know, but what’s the point of thinking that? Right now, there’s a galaxy to save. We don’t have time to doubt who we are.
Ashley: You’re right. I’m-it’s just that I’m confused. I shouldn’t let this bother me, not now. *hugs Shepard* So how are we going to continue from now on?
Shepard: Let’s just take it slow. Let’s take some time to rediscover each other.
Ashley: That sounds good Skipper. Such a lot of things happened, so fast the last few months, maybe it’s just a bit too much.
Shepard: You should tell me about that sometime.
Ashley: I will Skipper, I will. When we find a moment to catch a breath from saving the galaxy.

To be honest the worst thing about Ashley is her religious belief. I mean, it's the freaking 22nd century! How can anyone believe in that stuff anymore? (nevermind, I know).

Well we don't really know what she believes.  She says she believes in "God" and "Heaven" so one might make the assumption that she's a Christian, but they don't really say.  Lots or religions believe in that sort of thing.  And while she holds spiritual beliefs I don't really think that contradicts any sort of logic or whatever.  I mean there are a lot of people who believe in God (or some variation).  Just because it's the 22nd century doesn't mean people are going to stop doing that?  Why would they?  I mean they haven't yet.

It's the people whose beliefs aren't willing to evolve that are the ridiculous ones, but Ashley also strikes me as a logical person.  Clearly she's able to reconcile what she knows about the Universe with what she doesn't know and she's comfortable with it.  If she were some crazy Bible thumper she wouldn't have even believe in life on other planets even if it was right in front of her.

Also Ashley is hardly overzealous about it.  She makes no mention of changing anyone elses' beliefs or even going as far as to say what she believes is right?  She only wants the right to believe what she believes, which has apparently earned her some flack "just because I work in space means I can't believe in a higher power? Jeez!"

My Shepard was able to just say that her beliefs were none of his business and they left it at that.
