I think generally speaking most people are good with her new look. It was touch and go for a little while but the more we learn the more comfortable I think most people are with it. Her having actual armor was a big part of it as some people were concerned her casual outfit would be her "armor." The vote is split on the hair as a lot of people really wanted to see her hair down and still others are very attached to her bun. Many think she looks good either way.

Her hair was never one of my issues. I love her bun, but also love her hair down (although I think she should let it down for "private sessions"- you know what I mean)

My main issue was also not concerning her armor vs "diplomatic outfit". The later one looked as if it comes at least with some shielding. However, the white pants of said outfit were a real issue to me - I'm glad they're gone. Seriously, women out there, does a woman wear white pants with an outfit that's composed of dark blue, blue and black parts?

I personally am a fan of the updated look.

They've kept the same scan of the face from 7 years ago. The artist said so recently in an interview (if someone has that link....) And he said they only tweaked a little makeup and put her hair down really. But you also have to understand that graphically things have improved in the industry in 7 years so she's going to look a little different. That's just a given. But they didn't change her facial structure or anything.

And that's the real surprise here. I thought they redid her face entirely, especially her nose-bridge seemed to be changed. However, guess it was just an outdated, non-optimized texture plus weird facial expression that gave me that idea.

This screenshot shows Ashley is still Ashley. And I'm glad they used Ashley's old scan. Which is somehow really cute and kinda nostalgic, right?

Alternate outfit? I believe she'll just have the casual outfit and the armour we've seen. (plus if you order Collectors Edition you get a different colour scheme for the casual outfit) Haven't heard of any other alternatives.

Just wrote this snipper piece, in which Ashley reminiscence things about becoming a Spectre, fictional ofcourse, from Ashley's viewpoint and wrote it in a fashion I imagine Ashley would write:

Spectre, by name, by rank. I was so proud the second human Spectre would be me. I did what I thought I had failed at doing: Re-establish the Williams name as something to be proud of.
And credit where credit is due, I couldn’t have gotten there without Shepard. Funny thing is, whenever you have gotten something, achieved something to be proud of, half the people you know start acting like asses. Even my own sis, Lynn, started to make jokes about it instead of being happy for me. Looking back, I gotta ask, was I like that, I mean jealous, to others as well? I have the nasty feeling that might be a yes, or maybe not. Sometimes.
 
But you want to know who was proudest of me? Shepard. He looked at me in a proud kind of way, like he was thinking: “Great job Ash, I’m proud of what you did for yourself, for your family.” Would’ve been a perfect moment if I hadn’t noticed he let him self get distracted for a brief moment by my, well, cleavage. (And I know, the fashion those days didn’t make it hard for you to get distracted.)
He and my mom, they were proudest of me, he’s a bit like my mom actually, both had the same proud look, both work hard, both helped me get to where I am. Only he aged quicker and somehow managed to get a bit chubby despite the whole Reaper invasion, end of all life, thing.
So anyway, I now was a Spectre. That didn’t make life easier though, quite the contrary.

Ashley's Memoirs? Sounds like a title *g* I'd say it should be named:

"Memoirs of Ashley Madeline Williams"

Buuuut someone has to cover the S/S segment for a rebooted ME-series. We all want S/S-Ashley and you're simply the best one 'cause a big fan of that stuff :innocent:

Hey Jill, welcome on board. Sure, we can help you, what exactly do you need *g*
Romancing Ash isn't too difficult. I'd say, it's quite amusing to go down the paragon route - Shepard pulls some cheesy lines and Ashley loves them all.

Just keep talking to her after every main mission (or every five side missions) and you'll see some progress. As soon as you find her talking to her sister, the romance starts to kick in if you pull the right lines (don't take professional-line - that's the renegade option if I remember correctly, or you'll end it!).

Besides that? You can also check the vids on youtube for further intel. The entire romance is available there.

Have fun with Ashley :-)
