Well I don't think the demo is going to show a lot of new stuff, if any. I'd say you're safe, until the actual game comes out, that's when I'll go into hiding until I have finished it.

Hey guys.
Long time lurker here. Finally decided to join up after ordering ME3 CE.

Just wanted to say I'm glad to see other people like Ashley too. In every playthrough I made, I save her on Virmire(Sorry Kaidan, you're awesome too, but you're not Ashley) and I stay faithful to her all through ME2. Can't wait to see what happens between her and (My)Shepard in ME3...

No other romance comes close to hers, IMHO.

Yeah, Kaidan kinda gets the short end of the stick if you're totally in Ash. I still have a playthrough to do with Kaidan alive, since he deserves it! Same for his romance - I'm not that much in that stuff (I'm a dude and entirely straight ^^), but lets give him and fem!Shep a chance? ^^

How will they know they get offended if they don't read it though?  Nice one, although it's a little light on Ash. I can't imagine this would offend anyone though, it shouldn't anyway. It's true though, sometimes I feel like I'm not giving Kaidan the attention he deserves.

MBE sounds as if the guys in this thread are inferior to those in the old one. That's sad :'(
Hope some of them will return once ME3 is out. We definitely need to analyze every single scene and line Ash might say. Uhh and the screenshots, the tribute videos to Ashley, to Ash & Shepard ... *gets carried away by dreams* ^^

Guys, hope you know that "in Ash" meant "in love with Ash". I'm a lazy writer.
(On the other hand, what Ash-fan wouldn't mind a date & sexytime with Ash if she were real?)

A part of me feels a bit sad since basically you tell we (mostly Aurora, Brain, myself) don't know Ash that well ... that kinda hurts.
That's lowering my mood a lot. >.>

However, I concur with Deelane: a shame those guys are not here. Seriously, how many active Ashley fans do we have right now? 10? That's it.

i know with ash and miri they were both originally intended to be bi-sexual... but i can't see it happening now? tbh

No. Kaidan and Ashley weren't intended to be bi in M1. One dev, said they didn't do that, because they didn't want to according to what they thought about them at the end of the day.

Apologies if I screwed up the quote-snipping.

Both Shepard voice actors recorded both sides of the romance. The romance dialog was included in the main follower conversation file, and ultimately, it was considered faster just to have the actor do a take on every dialog line, regardless of whether it was one that would ever fire in game, than to spend part of the VO session trying to figure out
whether a given line was on the romance track or not.

Once the lines were recorded, there was a brief high-level discussion about whether we should make Kaiden and Ashley bisexual, since the lines were already there. The leads decided not to do it. The lines work on a technical level, but they didn't do justice to the characters and sounded very strange sometimes. Beyond that, there were questions about having to do a different cutscene for different genders.

But to be clear, it was never part of the plan. It was only briefly considered after the lines were recorded, and it was only recorded because it was easier and faster than marking some lines as "Hale only records".


There we go. She wasn't intended to be bi at all. I don't know about Miranda, though. But since she isn't in-game...
