I find Ash to be very attractive in these photos(More so than usual), for some reason. Maybe it's just the facial expressions...

I know Plenty of ****** and bisexual people that get up for church on Sunday to praise god so a mental belief has nothing to do with the chemicals that cause attraction. character integrity is also a nonfactor. Neither Garrus Nor Tali had ANY sort of affection for Commander Shepard in Mass Effect 1 but all of a sudden in 2 Tali as admired you since meeting you in the Ally and Garrus is all of asudden making sexual combat puns such as "I like to savor the last shot before popping the heatsink" I'll let you put that one together as the forums are to remain PG-13. Their characters were not being called "ruined" so opening up a character has worked well in the past for bioware so I see no problem with them doing it again. Bioware likes to make their fans feel included and they have alot of Gay and bisexual fans and ther's only ONE same sex romance in the series so far and that's Liara since Asari can mate with anyone. I'm sure this thread could benefeit from a same sex romance between Ashley in femshep because it adds another level to her character to have Ashley Open herself romanctically to another woman and still be her amazing self.

The question is not IF they are gay. The statement is that it is something that is taught against. I know you disagree with the idea but it is still a major teaching throughout ALL the major monotheistic religions. Many Christian, Jewish, and Muslim gamers have attached themselves to Ashley because they feel she represents them. So making her bi would be like a slap in the face.
And another thing...Christians don't teach that people aren't gay. They teach that the action is wrong. People can choose to engage in sinful actions. And 99% of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim faiths teach that. Christianity teaches that all people have an inborn desire to sin in some way or form. It teaches that Christians are to reject sin and not carry out sinful actions. So Ashley being bisexual and acting on it is and insult to those people who are Christians, Jews, and Muslims.
Again...sorry if you disagree with it but that is what Christians, Jews, and Muslims believe (at least 99%). I'll leave YOUR thread now because it is clear that people who disagree with you are put down in here. It is too bad that there isn't a place where all Ashley fans can go without being told we gave to change our beliefs because others demand we do so.

We don't know what Ashley is. Her specific faith is never mentioned, Those faiths also teach against Killing, but Ashley's chosen to become a soldier and she doens't seem to have any reservations whipping an assualt rifle off her back and blasting someone to oblivion.

Also before you making accusations nick, you *forget* that I said I wasn't trying to start something, just *informing* that homosexuals can be religious but if you want to try and demonizing me for spreading information go right ahead, take all the time you need, I'll wait.

Concur about the fem!Shep trailer: Kaidan should have his trailer moments too. Maybe BW should even go that far and create an "overlapping both-gender trailer" - which means fem!Shep and Sheploo are in the same trailer with Kaidan and Ashley at their side.

Definitely need more Ashley. She's still one of my all-time faves and I doubt any other character will get close to her. Except Data of Star Trek ^^

I know you want Ashley so badly BI, but why are you on the defensive and why did you feel the need to talk about all that, ? 

I don't know how you read my post, but that was only speculation, why she couldn't be bi, I didn't give any opinion. I SAID I  feel that ashley will remain straight in M3, that's it.

Did you read what I wrote ? Most of religious people are straight, so that means also there could be bisexual and gays christians. But it is a minority among them.  Religious people besides in our modern society have more difficulties than other ( that is a fact and that's why many gays don't like religions or distrust religious people and call them bigots ) to accept homosexuality because their religions always said to them a man + a woman, the union, etc, . Now yes, there are gays christians, but that doesn't mean millions folks suddenly forgot what they have learned.

If Bioware think about something close to the average religious person in real life, ( and ashley's lines were close to the christian religion to me ) , they could think that it is better to keep her straight, according to their vision and compared to real life, because it could be a better representation according to them, that's it. Let's be honest. Ashley's religion in Mass effect is very close to those of real life. I doubt they would think about something else, otherwise they would have said more...

I didn't give my opinion actually, I meant that Ashley is the only guy in Mass effect who admits she believes in god, and for this reason, ( and other reasons as well ) bioware could keep her straight since most of religious people, are straight. That wouldn't be the only reason as well, but they already said that to turn her bi in M1 wouldn't do her justice. So, again, speculation.

I could be wrong, as well, but I never said that Bioware wasn't concerned by gay people, etc. I said they also give a damn about those who are concerned by character's integrity ( whether they are wrong or right according to you ) , I didn't say something more than that.

Just a word or two regarding that topic (again):

I think it was you Sylvianus who said, Ashley represents a character religious people can identify with. I say, that's not a correct - better - it's not a complete statement.

Ashley represents more than just religious people. She represents several groups but NOT extreme positions. Looks like this:

Represented by Ashley:
- med religious people
- slightly religious people
- agnostics
- monotheists AND polytheists
- religious atheists (Buddhists - Buddha isn't considered as god).

She does not represent:
- strong religious people
- non-religious atheists

In a way she does represent me - and she doesn't. I'm an atheist and not an Buddhist - despite I'm leaning towards that religion. I don't believe in God but also don't feel offended by those who do. As long as everyone keeps his/her belief private and doesn't start to baptize or something everything is okay for me (which means only fundamentalists are a real issue to me).
So Ashley's view on the world & religions is almost identically to my own view except I'm an atheist while she's a monotheist (Christian, Jew, Muslim, whatever you want).

Just a theory: I really wonder why some people feel offended by her religiosity. Think they're either strong believers (they hate Ashley for being a weak fellow of her religion) and extreme atheists.
