I can't find the spectre logo on any of the new kaidan stuff either.

Ashley/Kaidan are not yet Spectres at the start of the game - Udina selects them to become a Spectre and his personal guard later on in the story.

yup. I'm glad they touched everything up from the beta, but that was to be expected from when it was released to the game being finalized.

So they did have a new face for her, but they switched it back to her old. So glad they did.

wasn't so much a new face they were trying to get it to look right still and while she was emotioning. the streamlined her jaw a cheek bones to fit the motions of the varying emotions. it's like creating a Shepard you tweak them at several angles and just hope and pray they animate well.

I thought i read something about how her facescan from 7 years ago still held up better than what they came up with so they just changed it back to that.

I'm fairly sure it's exactly the same model now, with maybe a few touch ups and makeup.

I wouldn't doubt it. The graphics are different so they probably copied the face scan and tweaked it a bit with what they knew about it, then put the original in and compared them. the less tweaked one probably did better than the one that got more twekage. That's my best guess, only bioware knows what they did and it was probably really complicated.

Her face in this shot is different from what we saw in the demo leak. Two things:

1. They polished the scene further (which is probably the case)

2. She's more smiley if you romanced her.

I mean that was her cute smile even WITHOUT romance. There's nothing to indicate that it will be different if you did. There's not a whole lot you can do with 1-2 seconds in public.
