I found it incredible that Ashley could agree with my renegadeshep when he asked her to make efforts, or do better next time. Any other character would be unhappy or would disagree. ( Miranda, Liara, Tali, Jack, etc )

I realized that until you kept saying something bad about her competence or her past, she accepted or respected critic from her officer, the hardness of iron discipline. What I really liked.

I found also some lines funny when shep was a jerk.

My canon shepard : I almost always choose neutral attitude, a few times I choose paragon attitude. My shep is as pragmatic as Ashley, ( a bit more positive about aliens ) and has a lot of humor.

Besides that background, my Shepard is pretty much similar to Aurora's, but you know that already.

Outside: tough, idealistic guy that simply tries to get the job done without putting everyone in danger.

Inside:
He cares deeply for his crew and friends and his beacon of hope is Ashley.
Therefore you can imagine how devastated he was when Ash yelled at him on Horizon. The following days (before that message) were painful and most nightmares he had dealt with losing Ashley for good.

And even Ashley's letter didn't help much. Shepard never told anyone, not even Joker, Chakwas or Liara what he was feeling. Basically, he locked most of feelings away and started to "function". Compassion got reduced a lot, still he didn't become cruel or killed needlessly. Also my Shepard wasn't really able to allow feelings grow towards Miranda and Tali - both tried hard to get in touch with him.

Not sure how Shepard will act in ME3. Since I know the awaiting drama, I can see him breaking down at least once or twice.

Also: Shepard is a giver of hope, but doesn't retain some for himself. That's why he needs Ashley. She believes in him, strenghtens his back and is the reason why he can go through all the sh*t. Shepard doesn't save the galaxy for faceless trillions. He does it for "us" (says that to Liara), for his friends and of course for Ashley.

Yeah I guess. I could go into specifics of how badly Horizon messed up my Shepard too. I want him to go absolutely insanely wail on something in ME3. Preferably Kai Leng's or TIMs faces. Though I doubt it happening, I can actually see my head canon going to town on someone during a fistfight, I mean going so nuts that not even Ashley or any other Romantic Interest can't pull him away until whatever he's attacking is pulverised.

I know that wouldn't fit most Shepard's physcological profiles or how others imagine him, but my Shepard has always been nuts (had a shrink flat out admit it too), the Reapers isn't making it any easier for him.

^ just keep in mind for Shepard only few weeks passed since he saw Ashley last time. Ashley had to deal full two years with his death - and it took already a year for her just to get over it and concentrate on her career again. Guess she simply burried herself under work just to forget Shepard and the feelings for him.

Since Shepard never had that time, the event on Horizon was a break up for him. Ashley simply ditched him while he was still "fully in love". Now that's a kick in the balls, I tell you ...

Can't remember if it's in the German dub as well. However, he definitely sounds sad when talking to Joker and Kelly. He sounds heartbroken, really downed.

Great to see Ash in the demo. Brought back real emotions about the reunion. Can't wait to import my cannon shep and pick up where we left off in ME1.

I even created a Jacob Shepard (with blonde hair, 'stache and everything) for my first "playthrough" to make it "feeling" like it was an import. After all, there's no chance to feel any difference if Shep is imported or made from scratch.

Ashley is indeed beautiful. Do I really have to restate my "even women fall for her" statement a third time?

Although she seems to have mellowed a bit, from the Demo, I think we are in for some good times, her and me!

Man, the Demo just made me long for March 6th in a big way!!

Ahhh, yes. When I was much more active here a few months back I remember the dialogue threads. Some were quite entertaining for me, as long as they stuck to my perception of who these characters are.

I have preordered collectors edition since july last year. Only reason I did was for the Hoodie. That was the only reason. For Shepard to have an N7 hoodie. That was ALL I wanted... oh and Ashley's alternate outfit

I planned not to, but pre-ordered the CE a month ago anyway, since you do get pretty great extras with it, for not too much extra payment. I couldn't resist.

I wasn't gonna buy it either... Then ended up ordering it anyway lol. I mean, have you see the little mech dog walking around the ship? Had to get that.
I hope you ordered yours in store, there's been a lot of problems for those who've order online.  I ordered mine at the store. I just hope when I go in on March the 9th that's it's waiting for me.
