Well don't know if you were there for it but recently Square Enix unveiled the protoypes for three Play Arts figures for Mass Effect 3, one of which was Ash.
Granted, I would have preferred the figure be in armor, but I'm still very gleeful.

Don't worry, you aren't the only one who thinks Shepard looks ridiculous. But I reckon the other two look great. It's perfect for me too as Shepard, Ash and Garrus will be my favorite team when it comes time to play Mass Effect 3. They will all be welcome additions to my shelf.

Yeah, Shepard looks terrible... IMO Garrus is the best of the bunch (I've already seen all the other pictures too haha). Ashley needs her armor... not that... thing. *sigh*

I like to start out Mass Effect 1 being pretty mean and harsh on Ashley. That's the way I like to play out my story. At first Shepard and Ashley can't really stand each other, but then as the story progresses they begin to like each other more before ultimately forming a special bond. I like to give their relationship a bit of an arc.

That's why I actually liked the Horizon bit from ME2. An epic romance should have challenges along the way, otherwise it ends up being boring.

Yeah, my Shepard is a bit like that, he's angry at Ash to begin with when he wakes up after Eden Prime, then he apologises for it chalking it up to stress.

Kinda funny. My Shep was always friendly to her. Not because he wanted her or something, but because my Shep is an "OUTSIDE CHEERFUL GUY" (don't check out his inner character, it's not the most pleasant view, but at least my inner!Shepard didn't get through that sh*t Aurora's had to).
So he welcomed her on board.

After a while it turned out (at least my) Ash digged Shepard's cheesy lines & quite positive attitude. So yeah, at first he wasn't fully flirting with her, although Shep saw Ashley as a fascinating woman.
Result: they finally confessed love by actions.

Horizon? It broke Shepard's heart, reduced his ability to feel emotions by a lot. Although he understands why Ash did what she did, but that didn't make it easier for him.

Current status: locked in feelings for Ashley, not able to move on for another woman, unresolved nightmares every night.
Not in peace with himself resulting in disrupted Chi flow.

Something like that.

Both that he wants her to live, and that he needs her in order to keep functional.... when he falls for a girl, he really falls for her. Specially since this is the third girl he's loved and he's sick and tired of losing them.

Yep, works perfectly for your "I-lost-two-wives-already"-Shepard.

That's something I really admire of your imagination: you put your Shepard in so much sh*t - just to explain why he's so totally devoted towards Ashley. He wants her -and only her. To find happiness and a purpose as well I guess. If I remember correctly, your Shepard is a real "Family Guy" (but less fat and not cursed with stupidness) in the most positve sense.
And Ashley is the best thing that happened to him for years. :innocent:

And they should make Shepard's face customizable by the customers: send your Shepard (ingame screenshot) to the producer and get your own head back ^^

I have a ManShep who romanced Ashley in ME then Miranda in ME2. Not my cannon of course, he's faithful to Ash. Will still be interesting to see how it plays out though...

I can't speak for others but Ash has always been my favorite and if she had been open to FShep she would have been my canon romance. But since she wasn't it made me play a male Shepard and he is my second favorite now ... behind my FShep with Liara.

He still loves Ash and as alot of old timers know pre-Ash reveal in ME3 I was always wanting him to return to her. He had lost faith in who they were ... as did she. In that moment of doubt he found comfort with Miranda. How or will he return to her? I don't know but I've always held out that they would make it. Ash is stubborn and PV is honest so there is hope.

I've never liked easy romances in fiction but ones that have conflict, sexual tension and unspoken words. I think that they both know they screwed up and they will have to work on repairing it. How he leaves Miranda is another thing because he does care about her ... he just doesn't love her. He loves Ash and he always did.

Ashley's romance is everything but not easy. The Devs did a great job here - creating the illusion of a challenging relationship - even if you can't do much wrong. Hey, Ash will take your Shepard back.
Half of Ashley's romance is based on "unspoken words" ...

And it's understandable Shepard moved on after Horizon. Mine couldn't since he was heartbroken & locked away any emotions. He simply couldn't allow himself developing feelings for Miranda (or Tali, who really tried hard).

It's all about RP.

Did the same... I mean, come on... death is kind of a realtionship breaker. Doesn't mean that there can't be a revival, though. I just hope they wrote a few good lines for Shep when Ashley finally initiates the "talk".

That's the best thing you ever could state - at least for a writer: both characters feel so real and the illusion is perfect you -could- hurt them so you feel really, really bad doing so.

I think you simply should "split" your Shepard!save then, PMC. One for Ashley -> Miranda -> Ashley and one for Ashley -> Miranda -> Miranda.
So you can have both and try out both. And since it's the same Shepard you can declare one of both Realities to your own "canon".

I suspect there will be very high paragon check or renegade check to keep a relationship from the original game or from ME2. I wouldn't be surprised if it required a full paragon or renegade slider to pass (you get the relationship and the other LI becomes a friend with an outcome that the loyal person gets without requiring a paragade check.
