I'm not complaining about it per se. Though, it bugs me(a little) how the males get to look stronger and buffer than before, while the females become more curvy. It would be nice if we could choose what nice body we want our Shepard to have.ADLegend21 wrote...
true, but everyone got newer models with the new engine. Vega's a tank, Kaidan got bigger, Anderson got a little bigger, Ashley's more toned and her hair's down and blows a little in the wind. (PseudoEthnic wrote...
Even without a flycam, FemShep's body didn't look like that in the previous games.ADLegend21 wrote...
That's a fly cam shot from an angle that makes the but look bigger. The femshep fan base does this all the time since we have several masters of fly cam. From other angles it's not that big so it's a trick of the camera.. ^.^) everyone's been updated I'd expect nothing less.

Well it's what people wanna see. If you're into Men, most likely you're into men who could bench press you because hey're so muscley. If oyu'reinto women, you'd most likly like to see a woman who's got some meat on her bones and some curves. Thought ot be fair there's tons of substance beyond these physical models that's much more endearing than "we've buffed up Kaidan to show he's been in battle" and "We let Ashley's hair down to give her sex appeal"PseudoEthnic wrote...

Miranda can be considered the 'brain' to Shepard's 'brawn.' Tali and Jack+Shep fit more into the adventure couple. I don't know about Liara.CptData wrote...
Pretty much. VS + opposite-gender!Shepard work perfectly as battle couple ... if romanced.
Dunno of Liara + Shep can be considered as such, same for Tali and Jack. Miranda ... not sure about her.

Again, I'm not complaining. Just a slight nitpick. You are correct in that at least we know that the characters are more than just hollow shells to have sex with.ADLegend21 wrote...

Ah okay.
One question:
VS - same-sex!Shepard could become a "Battle Couple" if S/S romances are allowed, right? Also "Battle Couple" only applies if the VS is romanced.
Thought Miranda/Shepard or Garrus/Shepard can be seen as Battle Couples too. Indifferent about Jacob ... and Thane/Shepard fits more to "Adventure Couple" I guess.
Still: what to do with Liara? She's no fighter after all (okay, she's awesome with her biotic skills but not too special since EVERY Asari is a biotic)

"Old Married Couple"
Hmm, na. For me it's more like:
"Best Friends"
"Battle Couple"
"Badass Couple"
Uhh ... and "Bunk Buddies" if you RP them as "friends with benefits"

A TV trope is like a cliche or catagorical designation for certain events.
Shepley for example. They are a couple, and they are both soliders whom fight, ergo, they are referred to as a 'Battle Couple'. Ash spent the majority of her career trying to grandfather's name, therefore she is an 'Atoner'.
They're cliched plot points. Go to TVtropes.org if you want the finer details.

My apologies,I tend to ramble like I'm giving a speech about certain things. I do like that no matter what they look like Bioware does treat every character equally to a degree and still makes them incredible to get to know. I wish these two weeks would fly by so we could ontinue and finish getting to know these characters.PseudoEthnic wrote...

I feel like I'm watching a bunch of people discuss their daily TV drama 0.0
You do realize you're supposed to be saving the galaxy? Kinda precludes long-term relationship plans. I'm just hoping they didn't decide to make her act like she looks from the military viewpoint.
I do NOT want to walk in on her latest 'performance evaluation' with Anderson.

Sure thing. TV tropes basically says:
Ashley is a goddamn badass without biotics but she definitely kick your butt and NEVEREVER get her on her bad side or she'll make you pay. Plus: First girl wins and her love for Shepard is true, forged in fire and hardened by drama.
So to speak.
