No Balls = No cute Shepley babies

Still not entirely convinced my Shepard would be the best father, he's a noble paragon but also incredibly by the book and pragmatic, not great with emotions. I can see it now.

Garrus: Hey Shepard, how's the new baby coming along?
Shepard: Honestly I love her but I have more then a few problems with her.
Garrus: Like what?
Shepard: *deep breath*. Okay first of all I've only known her for a few weeks and frankly other then a fondness for Ashley's breasts the two of us have nothing in common. She is one of only two people ever to throw up on me and I still haven't spoken to Grunt since that Martigra, further more I don't think she looks like me so evolutionarily that makes me want to eat her.* Basically what I'm saying is, I love my child but I'm grateful I live on a ship where other people can raise her for me while I save the galaxy.
Garrus: Is that why my new official title on the Normandy is 'wet nurse'?
Shepard: In a nutshell, yes.

*Yes this was a paraphrase of a quote from 30 rock, good for you if you picked that up.

EDIT: Top Ash:

Also in regards to Ashley/Shepard apologizing. I think Ashley really does have more call to apologize for reacting negatively to Shepard on Horizon. Admittedly Shepard came across as an idiot on Horizon but Ashley really didn't give him much of the time or day to explain what was going on.
I think Ashley does need to properly apologize sincerly for Horizon, afterwards maybe Shepard can be not neccessarily apologetic but remorseful at least when he remembers how much Ashley went through after his death.

That said while I do expect tension and some kind of emotional reconnecting moment between Ashley and Shepard, all Ashley will ever need to do to win back my Shepard is flash those lovely brown eyes of hers at him and maybe flutter her eyelashes a bit. I already have forgiven Ash for everything, but I still think for the sake of story that an apology is needed.

Eh, my Shepard can't do a worse job than his own old man did when he was a kid. His old man - while a good commander - had NO idea how to act like a father, always treated Shepard like a subordinate than a son.

@ Data.

Cause Shepard is a derp. If someone who knew what they were doing had been writing ME2, then it could have been handled better. But the milk has been spilt, no use crying over it.

I do, because I want be part of that reboot!team :P
And Ashley deserves some more love and less drama, if you ask me. B)

My Shep makes a better dad than I'll ever be.
I'm simply no children person.

I think both of them should probably toss the relationship they had on the SR1, agree to wipe the slate clean and start again.

edit:

That, or Shepard has to apologise first. As said before (in lore) he didn't and shouldn't have behaved like he did. Unfortunately, he can't threaten to shoot the writers, but considering the crappy material they had to work with and that EA was holding their leash, what we got was pretty good. (I shudder to say that).

More "this is EA's fault" talk? Oh man...

Isn't it a quote from Liara!Romance in LotSB? Just with "blue children"?

.... Yes well I edited it for Shepley sake. I don't think Ashley is an Asari... unless she had a really, really, REALLY good makeover.

Wow.  Battle royale going on about this whole From Ashes Day 1 DLC SNAFU.

Contains
spoilers about a squadmate who you encounter earlier in the game, so
therefore spoilers.  But wow the furiousness of the rate of comments is
impressive.

I don't understand the nerdrage here. Seriously. :?

Basically, if you liked having Legion as a squadmate in ME2, multiply his awesomeness times 10 and his side mission times an awesome factor of 20 and get ready to pay an extra $10 to unlock it if you didn't buy the Collector's Edition.  Basically you don't get the full game unless you buy the $10 Day 1 DLC, and we aren't talking about Zaeed #2 here.

I find it weird some people are now seemingly willing to defend day 1 DLC, I mean, I can understand if you tolerate it, but not when you agree with it.

Anyway this thread is suddenly moving fast..time to play catch-up!

I wholeheartedly agree. It's completely out of her character if you ask me. Sounds like some mega pandering to me, but again that's simply my opinion and I won't force it on anyone. Take it for what you will. So what next? Is her belief in God, her liking/quoting of poems, and all that jazz gonna go out the window too?

It doesn't have to be all of a sudden at all, there are plenty of way for this to be explained in a reasonable manner, let me give you a few ideas from a few pages back:

Indeed, and I'm sure you can comment on it when your femshep, something along the lines of "I never thought you were interested in me.", besides plenty of ways to explain her being bisexual without having to rewrite her character IMO.

That's actually one of the easiest jobs.

Why doesn't a man / woman don't admit if s/he is homosexual? Keep in mind Ashley tried to restore her family's name. Would it help to out herself? I doubt so. Also we know she's quite conservative - even if the society doesn't have any issues with homosexuals anymore, she still could feel bad about it - and therefore never told Shepard in ME1.

Works good enough to me. Hope it gets addressed Posted Image

Exactly, that's the explanation that's on my mind! Other than that she might have not felt a whole lot for FemShepard before, feelings can grow over time..or sometimes people become more sexually driven (I mean in a need for love way), even if it doesn't get mentioned in the game, which would be less than ideal, there are plenty of options to think of yourself.

Nah, I don't defend. I'm just not mad since it was obvious EA/BW will pull that stunt.

Well, not official 'official' as in "Bioware said...", but the source has been reliable in the past. Some people already have played the full game.

Looking forward. We still have a couple of days to kill before ME3 hits the ground.

Did I mention I'm going to turn 30 just six days before Europe release?
Perfect age for a 27y old Ashley. Definitely.
