Having listened to the dialogue I don't think it's that bad. There is a sort of awkwardness between them regarding Cerberus but it's not like outright hostility or viciously accusing one another of misdeeds. There's tension but not full fledged anger.
Ashley even says as much when Shepard remarks 'I'm not working with them anymore if that's what you mean Ash'. To which she responds 'No, not like that. But you have to admit it is a coincidence'.
It implies skepticism about Cerberus on Ashley's part but again not actual hostility.

EDIT: Top Ash:

and through her marvelous voice acting you can actually tell she doesn't believe he is.

But there's that thing in the back of her head that's nagging her, like a "what if he is still working for cerberus", because you know she's always looking at things in the worst case scenario. It's going to keep bugging her and shepard too by the sounds of it, until they finally have it out.

good stuff, good stuff.

Ashley's remarks towards Shepard are based on some skeptism, but I think her question was valid, Shepard had been working with Cerberus for a short while therefore he MAY have had an idea as to why the were there. I didn't see it as hostility, I saw it as skeptism.

Shepard's the one that sounds a bit hostile if you ask me, probably he's sick of having to answer the same question about his alegences. (Yes, I butcher spelling)

yup, it was a pretty telling little exchange. I've no problem with it, as long as through the course of the game you can gain her trust in you completely back.  It seemed very in character to me as well, I was worried she might sound like someone other than the Ash we all know, but I like what I've heard so far.

Until Shepard and Ashley decide to talk about about it and let it all out, there will always be tension between them.
And frankly They haven't forgotten about Horizon, even with Ashley sendind an email to Shepard expressing her sorryness and Shepard is hurt and tired of Ashley's doubts and Ashley doen't fully trust Shepard.

Its not going to be as pleasant as you think.

Though I can only imagine how good it will be afterwards.

I know, but it's the first step you need to take to get Ash back. Hence the squealling.

Wow.  Battle royale going on about this whole From Ashes Day 1 DLC SNAFU.

Contains
spoilers about a squadmate who you encounter earlier in the game, so
therefore spoilers.  But wow the furiousness of the rate of comments is
impressive.

I don't understand the nerdrage here. Seriously. :?

Basically, if you liked having Legion as a squadmate in ME2, multiply his awesomeness times 10 and his side mission times an awesome factor of 20 and get ready to pay an extra $10 to unlock it if you didn't buy the Collector's Edition.  Basically you don't get the full game unless you buy the $10 Day 1 DLC, and we aren't talking about Zaeed #2 here.

Good grief... it's a squadmate. He's not vital to the story, and you can complete the game without him. Bioware does this kind of stuff all the time. How is anyone surprised?

Listen to this

if you still don't think there's a problem then I don't know what to say. I'm not about to go on a rant about it because I just don't care anymore, but it is bull****.

I've listened to it... his whole argument is that the game is incomplete without this squadmate. Which it isn't. He's not vital at all. The game isn't going to say, "OH you don't have that squadmate.... YOU CAN'T PROGRESS ANY FURTHER!!!! GAME OVER!" ... it's an option that's there if you want it.

It's Bioware/EA doing their typical bull****. I'm not surprised in the slightest AND I don't agree with it, but the main argument against it is pointless... the game isn't incomplete without it.

Ashley's email to Shepard after Horizon:

It's even better when it's voiced by Kimberly Brooks herself.

Made even better with this video and music.

How about we don't bring this entitled, whiny conspiracy crap to this thread.  Totally OT.

In the "public service announcement" that has ads and more than double the views of any of his other videos...

Sorry OT, woot Ashley. Personally I liked the white pants more since now it's almost all blue.

Lets calm down, drink some calming tea, accept Ash might be open for fem!Shep-love now - you don't have to play a fem!Shep with Ashley and allow that relationship to happen! It's just optional.

The problem is, that Bioware now has to write 3 different romance paths. I don't want them to put ressources into things I'm never going to see in my game.

You won't have to worry about that b/c they don't do that kind of thing.

Everyone will get the same generic romance... bleh.

I seriously doubt they're all going to be exactly the same. They're not all going to be drastically different but I'm sure if it's a romance spanning all 3 games you're going to get some different stuff.

Yet, when Mac is the lead... I'm not sure about anything.

her primary writer is someone new there. Which, given how far bioware has fallen writing wise, actually gives me hope. lmao. Maybe they brought on someone with some talent.

Two or three years ago, I might have agreed.

Now...?   Not really confident.

Now just hoping the copy/paste we get is still good in its own right.
