we are not even close to being the worst of the worst on these forums.
I hear that...the Tali forum tends to creep me out a little bit to much...and the Zevran one.
The Ash thread is the funniest. We are all light-hearted jokers with SWAG.
were also pretty welecoming with newcomers and even to ppl who are not really ash fans but want to talk about her with us in a civil manner.
we tend to be laid back, and we dont really have any ppl here who troll other fan threads.
I've only gone to a couple character-based threads...they've all been pretty cool, but with some of the more popular characters (mainly Garrus...still might try to swing by there again, maybe when more info comes out...and I've been contemplating posting on the Kaidan thread, but just...never have) I tend to...get lost. Lots of people, lots of opinions. It all kind of...melds together for a while. Not that there isn't a decent amount of people here, just...I can identify most of them.
...Ironic since I'm once again late to the party. Actually, I'm a bit confused as to this not-so-new thread. Are we all slowly migrating to this one or still posting on the other?

Well just arrived on the citadel.
I like her after Eden Prime convo.
Its clear shes digging you but thats not what I got from it.
She
seems to be unsure bout her self in many way, mostly her importance on
the Normandy. Maybe she feels like shes in Shepards shadow and must do
something to impress him to earn her keep, to prove shes wort something.
Only then she finds out that Shepard accepts her for herself, talents,
looks, everything (paragon) So she lets down her guard and we see a more
accepting person, that she IS the best she can be.
Yes all this from one convo, maybe I'm reading to much into things.
Are you kidding? Reading too much into things is what I'm all about!
To be honest, I had zero expectations when it came to Ashley's romance. I think I had finished the first and second game with my femShep, and even though she lived in that playthrough, I was still...somewhat neutral (when I realized I liked her, I actually went back and played again as my femShep to establish a better sense of friendship). Afterwards, I decided since I played a Paragon woman, I'd next be a Renegade man. Who'd be a good match for a Renegade, I wondered? Well, I recalled Ashley saying she thought letting the Rachni go was a mistake, so let's go with her.
I'm not sure at what point I decided I was fond of her...the small quips during missions helped, ("Dare you to spit out the side", "Nobody lick any poles!") and that first conversation where you can really start to show affection, with ordering kisses and such, I always found amusing. And I loved, during the "baggage" conversation I could basically say "I like a challenge", and that was a Renegade option, too. I liked that they were sort of...pressing on each other. They each admired the fire each of them had.
I also played my Shepard to be...conflicted. A Renegade with a conscience. He was Ruthless, but only because he thought he had to be. That extreme measures were necessary. Renegade options in conversations also often reflect a sense of disappointment. Right after Eden Prime, he says the mission was a failure, but Ashley assures him he did everything right. And since he's not a complete jerk, he responds by saying he needed to hear that. And in time it becomes clear that he's been needing someone like her.
He's a complicated man, and no one understand him but his woman~
