I see they didn't change the weapon issue in cutscenes. Shepard goes from shotgun to sniper rifle...magic I guess.

Yeah, in all my playthroughs he has a love affair with the nuke. Ash is the only one I've ever saved.

True. And if ME3 comes with a similar amount of missions like ME2 (I count recruitment & loyalty missions as "main" missions), then we won't have to do the job without our beloved Ash for too long.
