I know, that actually kind of sh*ts me. Because even though it was a small effort on their part I assumed this meant that Bioware had made it 'canon' that at least a romanced VS has largely 'forgiven' or at least is understanding of Shepard's involvement with Cerberus. This fact was intensified by the actual voice actress reading the letter for the fans only a few months ago.
I know it's not much but I'd hope it would be addressed at least a little bit.

For what it's worth having read the script I can confirm that though there is a bit of tension there are also some quite good bits mixed in as well as a final scene (early on though) where all the tension builds up and depending on how the VS is treated by Shepard it can go one way or another. Won't spoil anything but essentially after that scene is over and done with, things get back to normal with no more tension or problems.

I'm glad that the tension doesn't last the entire game. I would have just gotten sick of it at that point and wished I never romanced her lol. And having the voice actress read the email made me think she had forgiven Shepard given how she read it and sounded like she was crying while typing it up.

Sorry, I couldn't resist using Asia lyrics to answer that question. To be honest, I understood where she was coming from. Shep could've messaged her upon reaching the SR-2, or asked Captain Anderson to pass a message to her but did neither. Imagine if the roles were reversed. Shep probably wouldn't be happy with Ashley either.

got Ashley as my background pic on my phone and some random person asked if i was dating her on the train this morning and it just even weirder from there. so i got a picture of Shepard and Ashley now, at least I got ash still.
