I don't know if I missed it or if it has never been confirmed or denied, but will ME3 offer S/S romances? In particular with Ashley?

I'm pretty sure right now it is "Unknown" but could someone more informed than I please confirm?

@TNS while you have your preferences other people like myself like Kaidan. Kaidan fans do not go out of their way to make light of Ashley being left behind in their games so please do the same since we do have a great relationship with our fellow VS fans.

I'd say the main reason why Kaidan & Ashley fans are on good terms is: our characters share a similar fate in more than one way: both are human love interests, both can die on Virmire, both have deep characters, both get sidelined in ME2 and both will come back in ME3 (depending on who survived Virmire). Both share the same main plot role but have different romances. In both relationships it's the female part who gets it moving (f!Shepard with Kaidan / Ashley with m!Shepard) ...

In short: despite the fact both characters are entirely different, there's so much common you can say they both share the same fate.

That plus the competition against Liara

It's okay. We're just quite protective - after all, neither Kaidan nor Ashley can protect themselves. And we protect them 'cause they're almost as real as REAL people.

And I like Tali. Seriously. She's like Ashley's little sis, in more than one way. Quite strong, determined and she knows what she wants. Pretty much "Ashley as teenager". Except we don't know how she looks (besides DEM HIPS!)

From what I saw so far, they're okay with each other. No full blown hostilities but also not "friends". At least I RP them that way. Actually, I believe if Ashley finds out Liara is the current SB, she won't trust her anymore. I couldn't ... heck with it, I would -really- feel uneasy with a friend that basically knows everything, even about the stuff you do alone.

Okay, that makes more sense. I think the DLC character's name is already an open secret, right?


Now that we're talking about, how's Ashley dealing with certain characters on and off the Normandy?

ME3-cast:

Garrus - mutual respect and friendship
Tali - friends, maybe even a bit like siblings. After all, Ash sees Tali like a younger sister.
Liara - reserved and some distrust, overall professional relationship
Vega - friendship possible and very likely
Diana - meh - I don't think Ash will find her useful
Samantha - no idea so far
Cortez - no idea so far
*spoiler #1* - distrust first, acceptance later, friendship unlikely
*spoiler #2 / DLC chracter* - no idea so far, maybe mutual respect at some point


And non-permanent squadmates - given the fact Ashley meets them at some point:

Wrex - mutual respect and most likely like old friends
Mordin - maybe reserved first but respectful later
Grunt - no idea
Miranda - dislike first, maybe respect later
Jack - may sympathize with her
Samara - no idea
Zaeed - grudging respect
Legion - distrust first, learns to respect him later
Jacob - could see him as traitor (working for Cerberus), respects him later
Thane - may get in touch with him 'cause of spiritual PoV
Kasumi - no idea


And any non-squadmates:

Joker - friends. Close friends. She likes him - who doesn't like awesome Joker?!
Chakwas - also friends. She may hate doctors, but Ashley definitely likes Chakwas.
Adams - no idea
Gabby / Ken - she may like Gabby and will find Ken hilarious
Anderson - deep respect, may see him as mentor
Hackett - deep respect
Udina - dislike & most likely distrust. She may accept orders by him but that's it.
Council - she doesn't like politicians
Conrad - uhhh ...
