@Data; Maybe, I'd say. They definitly get along well, Ashley is the "adventurous woman" tpye Kaidan says he likes, Ashley never says something like "Me and Kaidan no way!" when femshep suggests it, but something like "I believe he has his eye on someone else *wink-wink, nudge-nudge*"

There is enough room left open for it to work in an altenrate reality scenario I think

I dunno, I'm not opposed to the idea, but I always got the impression of a more brother/sister relationship. Example: If MaleShep when Ashley says the line about the tinfoil skirt, Kaidan scolds her. Or after talking to the turian admiral in Chora's Den and Kaidan says something to the effect of not understanding how a man can get so worked up over a woman (aka major irony for Kaidanmancers) Ashley will tease saying that he just doesn't understand women. Really I ship Kaidan/Miranda and Ashley/Jacob more. I dunno why.

But it would be interesting, Shepard dies along with some of the crew of the Normandy and they come together in their grief. D'awww. Though imagine how funny and awkward it would have been for a Shepard who romanced one of them only to wake up 2 years later and they were together. I would never stop loling.

I'm an Ashley guy all the way but I did romance Miranda with my canon shep. Couldnt resist dat... Integrity? I'm curious if all of you stayed loyal, or if you "cheated" while knowing that you'd go back to ash in ME3. For me at least, it's not even a tough decision between ash and Miranda

Funny. I always imagined the "tinfoil skirt scene" as light flirting of Ash to Kaidan -and- Shepard at the same time. That very scene is also the reason why I believe there's some magic between both.

Also I like that last statement of yours. Actually, I was rewriting (for a never-to-happen-reboot of ME series) the story of ME1 and it was possible to save both on Virmire. Regardless if Shepard dies or not at the beginning of ME2, Ash & Kaidan become a couple regardless if Shepard romanced one of them. That leads to some drama and in the end, it's up to the player if s/he allows Ash&Kaidan love - or wants to claim one of both for him/herself.

That idea won't ever happen, but I like it.

I stayed loyal. I imported non-romance characters for ME2. I even have one going through ME 1 & 2 for ME 3. I don't know if he will stay with Ashley. It all depends on this s/s stuff. I liked her because she held the same beliefs in the first game. I don't know if I'll continue the relationship if she is bisexual in the third game. The same goes for Femshep and Kaidan.

She's only bi if youre a femshep as far as I'm concerned. If you consider her bi based on the fact that she CAN romance both genders then that would mean that Shepard is bi regardless of who he romances. But I get what you're saying

Technically, Ashley won't appear "bisexual" for male Shepards. She'll have eyes only for your Shepard and no one else. There's a rumor going Ash & Kaidan are not "bisexuals" but "Shepardsexuals" - they're only attracted to Shepard, regardless of the gender.

So I think if you enjoyed Ashley's character and her romance arc for your straight male dude, stay with her. You won't get disappointed, I promise

That is saying the characters are different in Manshep's and Femshep's universe. I think that the only thing that changes between the two universes is the avatar we choose to play. We role play Shepard...not the NPCs.

In a way, they are different universes. Like cptdata said, they are into Shepard. If you're a male shep then in that universe there is no reason to suspect Ashley is anything other than straight and considering that it's a role playing game, you just full in any and all blanks yourself. If that makes any sense

Not really, it just depends on your playthrough. Male!Shep won't see a lesbian Ashley - but Samantha is always a lezzie! Same for Kaidan: he appears to be straight for fem!Shep while Cortez is always gay.

But yeah, if you think it makes the relationship with the VS less enjoyable for you, it's your decision. Ash just might feel sad for getting ditched

My beliefs matter to me. I wouldn't date a bisexual woman who openly seeks relatinships with men and women in real life either.
