Except that you are telling me we role play the NPCs. The only decisions we make is shepard, history of Shepard, and class of Shepard. Wedon't role play the NPCs...they react to our choices. So a bisexual VS is bisexual in Manshep's and Femshep's universe. I'll end the romance with her if she starts a relationship with Femshep because if she did it in Femshep's universe then she would in Manshep's.
I role play my decisions and my morals. I wouldn't date a bisexual woman in real life either.

@NICKjnp;@AD;You're both acting like the different ways to play the game are mutually exclusive. It is not, there isn't a right or wrong here, both ways of playing are perfectly fine and able to live next to each other.

@Telemachus; Ha, that's a great poem! Wonder if she might've been inspired on it slightly.

I always thought she was at least after I read that poem. What I do know is that her middle name Madeline was from one of Tennyson's Poems.

Madeline by Lord Alfred Tennyson
I.
THOU art not steep’d in golden languors,

No tranced summer calm is thine,

     Ever varying Madeline.

Thro’ light and shadow thou dost range,

     Sudden glances, sweet and strange,

Delicious spites and darling angers,

And airy forms of flitting change.

II.
Smiling, frowning, evermore,

Thou art perfect in love-lore.

Revealings deep and clear are thine

Of wealthy smiles; but who may know

Whether smile or frown be fleeter?

Whether smile or frown be sweeter,

            Who may know?

Frowns perfect-sweet along the brow

Light-glooming over eyes divine,

Like little clouds sun-fringed, are thine,

            Ever varying Madeline.

Thy smile and frown are not aloof

        From one another,

        Each to each is dearest brother;

Hues of the silken sheeny woof

        Momently shot into each other.

            All the mystery is thine;

     Smiling, frowning, evermore,

     Thou art perfect in love-lore,

            Every varying Madeline.

III.
A subtle, sudden flame,

     By veering passion fann’d,

        About thee breaks and dances:

When I would kiss thy hand,

The flush of anger’d shame

        O’erflows thy calmer glances,

And o’er black brows drops down

A sudden-curved frown:

But when I turn away,

Thou, willing me to stay,

     Wooest not, nor vainly wranglest,

        But, looking fixedly the while,

     All my bounding heart entanglest

        In a golden-netted smile;

Then in madness and in bliss,

If my lips should dare to kiss

Thy taper fingers amorously,

Again thou blushest angrily;

And o’er black brows drops down

A sudden-curved frown.

You're right they react to our decisions. Should you decide to get flirty with ashley as a femshep she will react and flirt back with you.
You flirt with her as a man and She will flirt back as well. YOU flirt with HER and she flirts back. she's not just gonna randomly show up in your Femshep's cabin and take her clothes off if unpromted to by a romance path. Don't want Bi Ash? don't flirt with femshep. Therefore it won't be in your game. stop letting other people's games  ruin yours. you're destroying your enjoyment because of someone elses enjoyment, and it sounds like Envy.

Actually people are mad at me for saying I'll end the Ashmance if she is bisexual. And they are mad that I wouldn't date a bisexual woman.

Pretty much this.

Ashley loves Shepard. Now which details might be different if Shepard is female?

- they can't have kids on their own. So if that topic comes up, Ash might talk to fem!Shep about adopting.
- gay marriage shouldn't be an issue in 22nd century, so I can see a proposal scene for both Shepards
- the sex scenes might be different
- some minor changes like "he" or "she" if needed

Besides that ... ? No watering down needed because romances work regardless of gender. If there are any difference, then like I said: only minor stuff ... if at all.

It's a bit more than this, really.

I've been concerned that since Ash can now be a "fresh romance" Bioware might save resources by making an ongoing romance a "do over"  effectively forcing characters who romanced her in ME1 to re-romance her in ME2.  Thus reducing the Ash trilogy romance to just being an "ME1 romance and  an "ME3 romance"

If Ash becomes an f/f romance as well, that, to me makes those problems even more likely (leaving aside questions of Bioware's creative integrety) as it places even more focus on fresh romances.  It makes it more likely that all the Ash romances, new and old, will all be the same with nothing more than minor dialogue changes

I want a story of rekindled love to be different from newfound love.  I want my Shepard who stood fast across the trilogy to embody "absence makes the heart grow fonder"

Maybe it's a foolish fear, but in this last week before release, I find myself getting more and more worried about this.  Is Bioware really going to be willing to devote the resources for all the possible permutations of a romance with a single character, who may even be dead in many people's play throughs?

Ummm...it is in my game. If she is bisexual in one game then she is bisexual in another. Last I checked sexuality was not a choice. You don't role play the NPCs. They are the same in both Manshep's and Femshep's universe.
Again...if she is bisexual in one then she is in both. I'll end the relationship.

I couldn't care less if you won't date a bisexual woman. Hell she's better off for it given what you said. As for a pixel woman...well plenty of others will be willing to romance those pixels if you won't.

Assuming however that a bisexual woman is like having a threesome is where I facepalmed*. Contary to some stupid beliefs bisexual =/= wanting to sleep with everything that moves and unfaithful and unwilling to have and be satisfied by one partner.

* I said something stronger here but whatever.

It would be your loss in Ash's case. Clearly you enjoy her romance if you did it in the first place and since you'd end the romance if she was bi you wouldn't be able to see it to its completion. That's all that means.

As for putting crap in your mouth *shrugs* whatever. You're saying plenty of downright offensive crap that I don't care.

My god, you don't know about a lot of physics, right? Two paralel universes can't be the same, it goes againts
physics. If she is Bi in the universe of femshep, then she can't be Bi on maleshep universe. Maleshep and
fempshep can't exist on the same universe. By that logic she is only Bi on femshep universe.

Again AD, NICK, this discussion is silly, since it's discussing how someone should play their game. Neither of you do something wrong for playing the way you do.

@Iakus, haven't read the spoilers but I think it might be different early on in the game, but the ultimate romance will be the same. Although this doesn't mean that it isn't satisfying for both, it might still feel different because of what you've been through together.

@Tele; That's really neat,I love little nods like that, plus it shows the love for Tennyson of her dad!

That's...really inaccurate.

They *could* be straight with an exception for Shepard or they could just be bisexual. (or a whole nother sexuality).
