Seems like you're misinterpreting because ADL I'm sure is a devout Ash fan. It's not a jab at Ash or her fans, but now that s/s has been implemented, that banner is nothing more than a harmless pun

I know perfectly well he's a devoted Ashley fan. But I also know that he's had serious disagreements with other people --which he's so far had the maturity to remain civil about in the forums, to my knowledge-- and those people are usually the ones who use the serious "Give it to me straight" banner. I do not think it takes a too great or unreasononable leap to derive a feeling of not so subtle mockery from that.

If I am mistaken, I'd like to hear it from the horse's mouth --as it were.

So, are you or are you not offended by it or are you just addressing that others may be? If so, I apologize for having misdirected my reply.

I'm withholding judgement. What I'm wondering is if ADLegend no longer cares about not antagonising fellow Ashley fans --if that sig has the attitude that was interprieted, accurate or not, to me-- which has been probably the biggest no-no since the inception of the first of the Ashley fan threads.

Now, if the purpose was to make a jab at other posters, overtly or otherwise, then I'll have a problem with it.

i disagree,she looks alot like ashley to me only the hair is really diffrent.plus we havent seen a good or offical screenshot yet.well be getting some soon.hopefully they will set our minds at ease.

I've just realized how much I like her middle name "Madeline". Hell, such a beautiful name and suits her so well.

@Deelane not sure if you know this or not,if you dont then heres a fun little fact....madeline is the name of a Tennyson poem.given to her by her father.


the name works so good i think because its a name you wouldnt expect a woman like ash to have.

It was from her character reveal back before ME1 came out, the info is on the 1st page of the thread and also in the Mass Effect wiki.

I can't understand why people complain about her new look?I mean if it is in real life people do change physically and emotionally.And by changing any of the characters in some ways,that makes the game more real You can't expect her to be the same in EVERY way as she was in ME1

i agree,i like the new look.even more so now that we know she will be able to sport armor during battle.

I will have to Strongly disagree with you there, KaidanWilliamsShepard. Ashley is still an incredibly beautiful woman and has only removed herhair from the bun it was in during Mass Effect 1. no changed were made to her facial structure so she still looks the same, except with silky, supple, amazing....nomable....*ahem* great looking hair.

I miss Ashley, she is dead in my main playthrough but I really hope she is mentioned in ME3. Why can't we have them both?! Why!?!

I don't expect her to be the same person she was back in ME1. I do, however, expect her to resemble who she once was.

I don't like the new design nor will I ever like it. The best I can hope for is that her armour is indeed armour, and not another recolour of the battle tunic outfit.

Casey Hudson has already stated (As I have mentioned before in both this thread AND several others) that she WILL be getting both armor and a helmet in ME3. It may look nothing like her original Phoenix design but she WILL be getting it. Now please, just stop ruining the enjoyment of all of us actual Ash fans that will enjoy having her character around no matter in what style she wears her hair or what uniform she chooses to wear. Relax. It not worth getting so worked up over.

They have legit concerns about Ashley. I have some of them too. For example that they Mirandafied her too much.

Only time will tell. I want Ashley to be Ashley. I want her character still intact. While the new outfit does look good from a purely male fantasy point of view is perfectly understandable but that just isn't Ashley as we knew her. Maybe she still has the same character. That would put me at ease.

We are all actual Ash fans. Just because some of us show some real concern for the character we are not considered Ash fans by you. Be a bit friendlier in the future please.
