Alternate all the way.

Her Phantom-esque armor from the DLC which will not be named because of spoiler risk is also awesome. I know for a fact that Liara is going to be wearing it all the time, Ash too probably.

I'm definitely swapping Ash's default appearance for the alt. colored version. It reminds me of her Phoenix armor.

And Liara is going to be in the 'character dlc' outfit.

Neither.

Armor all the way. IF I'm forced to have her in that outfit at certain points during the game (like in b/w missions) she'll be wearing the alternate color.

@Reed; Well I think you're going to have to allow her to wear it on the Normandy, unless you're trying to keep a no-clothes policy. Not sure if that'd work though.

I'll use the alt. colourscheme, it looks a little classier and the other one is very blue, a bit too blue for my tastes.

femShep: Shadow Broker is my good friend, remember? And I have sources of my own.
Ashley: I'll kill her. You. Both.
femShep: Promises, promises. So... is he a good boy? Or do you want me to implant him with a control chip?

Kaidan: Don't worry, Ash. She's just toying with you.
Ashley: Kaidan?
femShep: Ah, yes. Ash, meet my latest achievement. As good as new.
Kaidan: Good to see you again, Chief.
Ashley: It's Lt. Commander actually.
Kaidan: Well, good to see you again, Lt. Commander. Been a while.
Ashley: No kidding. Shepard, how did you...
femShep: Don't be so surprised. Told you I wanted my people back. All it took was to restart the Lazarus project.
Ashley: But I thought it took two years to rebuild you. And it has only been a few months since the end of the war.
femShep: Correct. But original Lazarus had only a limited amount of Reaper tech to work with. Those limits no longer apply. Soon everyone I've lost will be back.
Ashley: And then what?
femShep: I'm tired of this galaxy. I want to see what lies behind the horizon.
Ashley: You're going to leave us again?
femShep: Everyone who wants to come with me will be welcomed. It will take some time to prepare Normandy for intergalaxy travel anyway.
Ashley: I... don't know what to say.
femShep: You don't need to give me answer right now. Take you time. Think it through.
Ashley: Will do. Just... don't leave without letting me know first.
femShep: You bet.

I was really bugged with this romance, actually. I had the Ash romance in ME and was hoping to continue the romance in ME2.
So, what does Bioware do? Exclude Ash from the game altogether. With no assurance at that point that she was going to grace another ME game in the franchise, I opted for a different romance, namely that of Jack. So, what does Bioware do (if the rumours are true), move Jack to a background character position and bringing back Ash. I'm anticipating a very lonely ME3 playthrough, tbh.

I think I'll change between them every once and awhile, I love the armour but seeing Ash in more regular clothes like this might be a nice change especially when I'm right behind her and my eyes wander

I'm honestly not sure which alternate outfit I might use for Ashley. I've got the CE completely paid for so that comes with the CE exclusive outfits which I think is only the maroon one for Ashley which looks cool, and the dlc one which the only screenshot I've seen it's kind of hard to tell what it looks like from the blurry pic. Then again I really love the look of blue armor she's wearing the cgi trailer and a good number of screen shots.

For a week or so I'm sculpting 1/9 figure of Ashley.
Have a look and say if you like it.
I havent decided yet if it will be full fig or bust (I think latter) - she will be holdind assault rifle and looking to right, as if glancing aroud the corner.

The way they cut it in the trailer, reminded me a little of the ME1 romance scene, that was an awesome tease to get me excited about the Shepley arc though!

Amd hopefully brings the positivity this thread needed.

That trailer was pretty awesome, loved seeing Ashley in it. It looked like they even showed a little bit of the romance scene for Shepard and Ashley. I also think I caught a glimpse of Jack in there from behind.
