Crap so I think i'm screwed, I shagged Miranda, and had the citadel date with ashley and didn't have the opportunity to rekindle the romance with her there, it was mostly auto dialogue and didn't give me the chance to be flirty.. Do I now have no chance to romance Ash?
lol i'm in similiar situation. i havent bedded miri yet. but i said she still in my plans even after she seeing ash in the hospital just torn me up

It depresses me because I thought Miri would have been a jack like shag in ME 2 where you can still get with your main romance pre-suicide mission... I just hope theres some chance that I can still get things going with Ashdewayne31 wrote...

The more I open up the squad select menu, the more I miss the beta outfit.

Don't worry, not going to spoil anything. I've always been a big Ash fan - just sort of lurked here.
Anyways, if you stayed loyal...holy **** if it is not worth it. The romance written between Shepard and Ash in this game was incredible and really touching, outperforming the even realistic arc of ME1.
Ash was definitely worth it. Ashley fans should have no qualms with her role in the game. And don't worry, once she is out of the hospital, there is a lot of catching up.

I'm at work right now and just got reinstated as the Normandy's commander yesterday before going to bed. So I just had the first short talks with Ash before she got taken out.
If all convos are like what I saw, then I'm not really convinced if ME3 is till a RPG. Lots of autoconvo plus Zaeed treatment of some characters. And you guys say, Ash gets the same treatment? Few bigger dialogues, sometimes on-liners, no calling her to the cabin and a climax scene before the finale?
I'm a bit disappointed because interaction with the characters got reduced by a lot. I enjoyed the old system much more ...

The Zaaed style dialog never goes away. There's only a handful of times where you have an actual conversation with her.CptData wrote...
Am I the only one who's ... not happy with all those autoconvos?
It wasn't perfect... but I think we can all agree it was a hell of a lot better than ME2.

Yeah, bit dissapointed with that, but at least we don't get the "can it wait for a bit". I understand we get some more extensive chats later on...don't quote me on that though. I still enjoy the new system, since the dialogue choices they cut out seem to be mostly trivial stuff, that said, I liked the illusion of choice in dialogue.

Funny how many ppl don't like Ashley's convos on Mars. Most of'em think Ash is questioning Shepard's loyalty too much. But I think it works perfectly and is absolutely IC for Ash. Also I loved that one scene where Shepard admits he "want you by my side" (or something) - and Ashley's reaction was quite stunning: "That's what I wanted to hear." Obviously, Ash still has strong feelings for Shepard.
Also liked the one (earlier) scene where she lashes out against Shep: "Don't call me Ash." ^^
Think the new system is ... awkward. I really hoped for more random dialogue - instead we got Zaeed-one-liners with little variation.
Could be improved by patch or DLC. My money is on an interaction DLC - one that expands ME3 for any characters. Not sure if I would buy it, at least not as long as ME2 chars don't get a better treatment then, but it's an option.
Overall: although I dislike all the autoconvos, Ashley feels like Ashley so far. And I can't wait to start her romance arc ...

True, in the early beginning it seems like there's not much interaction with her. But if you stay loyal, it is definitely worth it. It gets better as the game progresses. Just finished pre-finale scene. Not gonna spoil it for you guys
Despite having a lot of auto-dialogue, there's still few choices here and there. Make sure to talk to your crew especially after each priority missions and this includes on the Citadel. It's basically the Normandy 2.0 for conversation. Check your emails too since sometimes npcs sends them to you to meet up there or Traynor may mention it. You'll get Zaeed treatment if they don't have anything new to say.
I have to say, Ms Brooks really did a wonderful job as Ash in ME3 (as always)

You're talking about Lieutenant Commander Ashley Madeline Williams. That means she's better than the best to avoid suspicion.

I was afraid of mentioning anything that might be considered a spoiler.
I *think* I talked to her all the necessary times on the citadel early in the game. Then I had the really short conversation/event at the docking bay area.
I think I know whats supposed to be next, but thought it would have happened by now. Im afraid I missed a conversation or its because I didn't buy a certain something (which I heard has an effect).
Hopefully its just premature worry. I just completed the mission after getting who I think is the last party member. Should the next step have happened yet, or am I safe from worry for now?

Tennyson's books? I got them at first visit before talking to Udina plus flowers. Dunno if they do the trick, but I'm just trying.
I'm sure you can keep Ash. Did you romance someone else in ME2?

Ya I didn't buy anything at the gift shop.
Ya I did. Ash pretty much tells you to go f*** yourself in ME2. So instead of myself I chose Miranda
Broke it off as soon as I saw her in 3 though.

Personally, while it had it's moments, I thought it was quite underwhelming. I was expecting more real conversations with Ash. Shepard and Ash only had like 1 real conversation in the Normandy and that was just her being drunk... and I think the dialogue was the same even if you didn't romance her. I wanted to see more of the playful flirt that Ash was in ME1 and I was disappointed that we saw so very little of that.
The dialogue between them near the end was rather good, but overall I felt it was lacking.
And is just me or was the Ashley love scene rather short? The way the music just cuts off was bad...

haha ya I know...
This is just my personal favorite Shep/File. The one where you are flying blind and experiencing everything for the first time, making the calls without knowing what will happen. Sounds stupid i know - but it just feels more personal than the others, so I was hoping I hadn't screwed it up.
Oh well! Back to playing, ill find out pretty soon either way. Thanks for the responses.

Too early to tell, since I'm at the beginning of everything. However, I'm not the biggest fan of the Zaeed-style dialogues. I just hope Ash will tell her oppinion after each big mission with a dialogue.
Overall, must say, I loved the romances in ME1. ME2 were okay but lacked real progress. ME3 ... some are treated in a really bad way, others work quite fine. ME3 lost a lot of stuff that made ME1 great and ME2 awesome - the dialogues. Too much autodialogue.
