Well to be fair, Liara's the Shadow Broker and knew everything about your dealings with Cerberus, Ashley was in the dark until horizon and blindsided by it and that leads to mistrust and estrangement. I guanrentee if Ashley had access to all the information there'd be nothing to keep them apart. Even so the romance scene disproves that "no action to back it up" sentiment.jreezy wrote...

Did anyone figure out what Ashley's power "marks man" do for her. It made sense for Shepard to have it but what does it do for Squad mates? I thought their accuracy was always 100%, can anyone confirm that?

I'm glad you were able to enjoy the ending(not being sarcastic), because everything after Shepard being raised on that platform ruined the entire series for me.Rykoth wrote...
Nothing says forever, Northern Sun. That's one of the things I dislike about the ending (as a whole, I thought the ending was good if not overly brief.) The ending leaves that open for interpretation. I'll be posting a speculation thread methinks.

Don't let 5 minutes of disappointment ruin a much larger (IMO everything on Earth was part of the ending) ending let alone a whole saga.

Sage advice. I still feel no desire to do a second playthrough though, which is a first for ME games.Rykoth wrote...
Try not to let it. It's not (IMO at least) that the ending was horrible, it's that it was rushed. Think about the journey. Since this is the Ashley thread, the journey to finally seeing Shep/Ashley tell each other "I love you" was well worth it.

But enough about the endings. Hungover Ash was hilarious.

I liked the ending. Which makes me a minority but I honestly liked it. Ashley's rekindled rommance was great and TIM was a well written bad guy much like Saren.
Yes! drunk Ash was hilarious and so was drunk Tali.

It totally made sense in ME2 when she was angry, and it still made sense when she didn't know how to trust Shepard after his involvement with Cerberus. And then Bioware lets you woo her all over again, and convince her Shepard is still the same guy. Great writing.

My very main issue: Ash doesn't talk much about anything regarding missions. As far as I can see:
Garrus: that guy has a line or two for every single done mission. He's also the dude who has most Zaeed-style convo with everyone else - Wrex (intercom), Javik, Vega, ...
Vega: Pretty much like Garrus. Lots of dialogue, very well done.
Liara: Hmm, she has some very nice dialogue for sure, normal-style. Clearly my fave this time, because of sheer amount of dialogue.
Traynor, Joker: dito. lots of dialogue.
And Ash? She had an incredible debut on Mars, the romantic interaction while she was in the Huerta-Hospital was beautiful and I liked her role in the Udina conflict. However, as soon as she came back ... nothing. Seriously ... nothing. Almost no feedback on missions. Okay, I'm now at the point before talking to the Quarians ... but did several smaller missions + Javik's DLC, I'm at 40 hours now (spending nearl half of that time on the Citadel or the Normandy) ... but seriously ... that's it?
*sigh*
I feel a bit ... disappointed, so to speak.
When does the date happen? And when do I see her drunk? Guess we also see only one "big" romantic scene? The lack of interacting is saddening ... I really had hoped for more. Including at least one non-sex cabin scene - I mean, I got Allers for an interview (without flirt), I got Samantha for a nice chess playing session, Liara visited me at least three times ...
And Ash? Nothing so far. Guess it gets worse before it gets better (which seems to be the main motif in ME3) - and not even that is true: it gets worse - and gets only better in headcanon.
Ugh.

Meh. From what I saw so far, Ash's best moments happened before you got her back.
Sure, there's still the "drunk scene" or the "date" ... but I really feel bad about lack of interaction between those major steps. Every single character has more lines than Ash.

The drunk thing happens right after one of the quarian missions, I believe, and the "date" happens after the last quarian mission.
And yes, as I've stated 3 or 4 times in this thread, Ashley (and I guess Kaidan too) pretty much has the least amount of dialogue in the game out of all of your squad mates.

This was my only problem with Ash in the game. I was expecting a talk after the Udina thing, she/shepard just shot a councelor and nothing. There was too much autodialog overall. Taking Ash to the cerberus base was fun, almost more dialog there than on the ship.

Which is pretty much disappointing, especially after the lack of presence in ME2.
Why do I have the feeling we got the short end of the stick ... again?
I read the leaked stuff - and it hinted far more interaction then we see now. Guess BW really rushed ME3. I saw a lot of comments regarding that: it's not just about the endings, a lot of content got cut too (hinted in the latest leaked files). Javik's DLC falls into the category "cut content made to DLC" - Omega is another one. Guess the VS got the worst character cuts so far.
I really feel bad. My headcanon can't compensate the lack of interaction. And I doubt BW will improve the VS' role in ME3 with DLCs. Even if they would do, I would feel scammed.

This^^
Also of course Ashley/Kaidan has less dialouge than everyone else because they aren't on the Normandy till after the Udina incident. Which makes them the second to last unless the DLC isn't played till later. In my playthrough the topic pf Ash can be brought up in a lot of dialouge throughout the time she is in the hospital. It felt Ash was on my Sheps brain all the time which is awesome at least in IMO.
I see a lot of negativity about the game but please just look at what Bioware put in the game instead of what they didn't put in the game. It would be impossible to create a game that has everything everyone wants. I liked what I got from the game and I am not ashamed to say it.
