Gotta say though, unromanced Ash in ME 3 is... pretty weak after the Hospital. All that tension before, completely resolved after Shep saves her. =/

Yeah... if I ever replay ME3, I'll romance her again just to get more out of her.

Yeah.  I agree.  Was totally bummed by that as Ash was one of my fav ME1 characters and my main femshep's BFF.  :(

yeah, her friendship and post drunk pre romance scene romance path gets kind of flat....plus she doesn't move around the ship like other squadmates do ot talk to anyone over the intercom either. it's lik she's...isolated on the Normandy....Posted Image

ME 3 did at least give my Shepard Ashley back. However now I need to become a better writer so I can write out my Shepard finding his way to that planet where Ash is now. HE MUST MAKE IT THERE!

I agree ^

I feel there should have been more Ash content, but what in the game was quality not Quanity.  I did like it, it felt right in my book.  I did melt too when She said i love you ..and begged me not to go.  I personally was like when you put it that way, I can be convinced but the game didnt give me the option.  I was happy she survived, so lets see what happens from there.

Imagine if there was a "The Things I do for Love" option where you could pretty much give the galaxy the finger and run off somewhere.

Yeah I agree ebevan..We might be extinction but if i am going to go ...Ill die happy.   How could you say no, I sure as hell didnt want to.   I really wish that was an option becasue i would take it and see how the game goes.   But then again the concept of choice went all fungu towards the end.

Also when i read "things i do for love"  Did anyone else start singing meatloaf .. no just me ...Ok then

The last conversation I had with Ashley really broke my heart, especially when she said "I don't want you to go." And I knew what the ending was at the time so there was nothing I could do. I felt so powerless. If i had not done my research on the leaked endings ahead of time, I would've felt confident and promised Ash I would be back, thinking there must be some kind of a happy ending.

Ok all finished.

Model and animations pulled from ME3 and ME1. This was a quickie to see if I could do it. Not much background detail. Hope the Ash fans enjoy.

I'm going through both my Ashley-romanced Joseph Shepard and my main FemShep Diana who saved Ash right now, and I sorta have to concure with these assessments - there really doesn't seem to be as much content with her character as there was with Kaidan on the Normandy or with interacting with other characters. Also, and this is gonna sound odd.... but it kinda bugs me that there really doesn't seem like much distinction between a romanced Ashley and a non-romanced Ashley outside of a few additional dialogue snippets here and there (it also shocks me that a non-romanced Kaidan seems to have an easier time retrusting a male Shepard than a romanced Ashley does)

Also, where is her humor? I know characters can change and all, but dang, that was one of the things I rather like about her in ME1, but here in ME3, it doesn't really seem to be there. (from what I've seen so far)

But what are the exact words he uses? Does he say "you and human soldier" something like that?

No Facebook here, but it's definitely a "like".

Since you're at it, Raanz, can you tell me how to extract Ashley & Sheploo? I'm quite good with 3DSMax 8, so I can recreate some of Normandy's rooms and do a comic... (kinda).

Quick question, anybody got that picture of that shemale that looks like a dead ringer for Ashley? No Ash hate, just funny how damn close she looks like to Ash.

Yay. I played this video together with Purgatory Club's music and it matched perfectly.

Just thought I'd stick my head in to say that, as a long time Ash fan, I thought Bioware delivered in spades.

I'm a guy who normally finds the notion of getting attached to a video game character pretty, well, pathetic actually. However from the get-go Ash was different. The brilliant writing and characterisation really drew me in, and I found myself liking her personality, not just her as a character. Between the games I found myself thinking of her occasionally, much like one would do with a long lost friend. To have her back in my team in ME3 was a genuinely pleasing moment. It felt like being reunited with that friend.

Now, I'm also not a fan of the overly wishy-washy pathos you get in some films or games that deal with relationships. I was sceptical I would react to any romantic lines in ME3 with anything other than a 'Ok, cool'. Imagine my surprise therefore when I actually felt a lump in my throat at some of the lines Ash and Shepard share. Here, for the first time in my gaming career, was genuine emotion playing out on my monitor. Finally, somehow, Bioware took, not what I thought I wanted, but what I actually wanted to say and gave me the ability to say it in situations that continue to resonant with me long after the game has finished and to a far greater degree than any other media I can think of. I laughed. I smiled. I'm not ashamed to say I got a little misty eyed in places.

To say 'I love you' and to feel like your character means it is impressive writing. To say 'I love you' and to feel the emotion of that moment yourself is, well, I'm kind of lost for words, to be honest.

When Ash said "I don't want you to leave" that last time in London I finally realised that I, as a person, didn't want to leave either.

Well done, Bioware.

Well done.
