Lt. Commander Ashley Williams thread: "Don't 'Ash' me!" We're Back Baby!

Also, do we ever actually find out what she was going to say to Shepard after the romance scene in ME1? Where she says "you know what? You'll just have to come back in one piece to find out" or whatever. I'm guessing it was just 'I love you' or something, but this has been driving me nuts for a while now. As far as I'm aware it hasn't been addressed anywhere?

Do you see how the face is looking CptData? It's those face morphs I was telling you about. I'll play around with it a bit this weekend and if I figure those out, I will let you know.
Once you start adding the normals (normal maps) to your materials on Ash and the corridor, along with the specular maps, I think you'll start seeing some nice polished results.
Good start.
Yeah, I just used a stock animation. It just animated her body movement, but it looks as if BW used a different set of animations for her face. Since the importer doesn't support more than one imported animation (afaik), I can't do both. Maybe I won't use animations that often ...
Besides that, it's a start. It's going to be more difficult if I want to include multiple characters in the same scene ...
Have this one ...
It's no project ... not yet.

Who likes it? Is there ANY Mass Effect Project called "Rebirth"?
Did it within 3 hours, 2 of them for finding fitting Shepard!stuff

Question. Does Ash have any on-board dialogue with the rest of the crew like Garrus does, i.e. over the intercom or 'in person'?
None. The closest you get to any interaction is Ashley suffering from a hangover from drinking James' booze.

None that i saw, it really bums me out that she has so little dialog on the ship. When you do talk to her on the Citadel i thought those scenes were really good though.

Yeah, pretty much. Ashley's romance scenes were beautifully crafted but the interaction between those scenes is reduced to almost zero.
Maybe that issue is going to get addressed in a DLC or patch one day.

Lets go back to Ashley ...

Thanks to the strange situation caused by the coup, their situation escalates...I think it's a neat way of doing things and a good resolve.
Also Liara really only plays a big part in the beginning and with Thessia, Garrus has a lot of dialogue too. I'm not really concerned with that though, my only real gripe with the zaeed style stuff was that it didn't factor in romance, and then the "Commander" or "Shepard" sound oddly cold and yeah a talk with the old squaddies would've been good, but well, it felt like she got some good interaction with them if you took her along a lot of the time
@Data; the new one is better IMO, the first one is a little creepy in an odd way, the second one more..emotional.

Didn't know he can die at all ... maybe EMS too low?
I'm pretty much a completist. And Ash is with me EVERY mission as soon as she's back. To make up for lack of dialogue
########################
Post-ending stuff ...
Ashley: Hey Skip ... it's a miracle you're still alive. I saw you getting hit by the Reaper Beam ...
Shepard: Almost. Got hit almost, Ash. Can't remember what happened after that point.
Ashley: Guess not. The Reaper retreated and the Citadel opened. And then something happened - no one has an idea so far - but the Reapers are gone. No more.
Shepard: We did it ... ?
Ashley: Yes. We did it, Skipper.
Shepard: Feels ... different ... ? I can't describe it ... but for the first time in the last three years, I feel ... free.
Ashley: I know ...
Shepard: You don't understand ... Harbinger almost got me. I was about to lose my mind ... my soul. Felt like Saren, had dark dreams lately. I saw you dying, Ash. Not just you, but everyone I ever cared for. And voices whispering to me ... Kaidan, Mordin, Legion ...
Ashley: They were always with you. We all were, Skip.
Shepard: And now ... the dreams are gone. Ash - I think I was indoctrinated - or almost. I can't remember any details after I got almost hit, but - I felt tired. Tired of the war, tired of fighting, tired of watching friends die.
Ashley: No one is going to die today-
Shepard: Yes... because we did it. Ash ... I couldn't have done it, not without you ...
Ashley: Nor would I be here without you ... you saved me.
Shepard: You saved me-
Chakwas: Excuse me you two? Ashley, Shepard needs a rest. Sir, you should count yourself lucky you're still with us. Everyone caught by that blast died.
Shepard: Everyone?
Chakwas: Everyone. We found you dead. No idea what happened, but then you took a breath and were back. You were dead, Commander. Whatever brought you back ... is a miracle.
Shepard: Guess I'll have to trust you. So I died two times in my life ... ?
Ashley: You're too much of an bastard - not even the Fiend himself wants to keep you *chuckles*
Shepard: Maybe. I'm glad to be back, Ash. I was lost without you ...
Ashley: Life wouldn't be the same without you, Skipper ...
Chakwas: Ashley ... the Commander needs his rest.
Ashley: Yes ... thanks, Doctor. Just a minute, okay?
Chakwas: Fine. One minute, Ashley. I'm waiting outside.
Ashley: Thank you. Skip, there's something I want to know ... when we had our night, before the final battle ... you said you were indoctrinated. But when we shared the night, who was the man with me? Was it you?
Shepard: Yes ... it was me. Remember what I sight after our night before Ilos? I said "For the first time, everything feels alright."
Ashley: Yeah ... and I rolled my eyes ... *snickers*
Shepard: I felt the same the last night with you ...
*AAAAND CUT*

Personally, my favourite moment with Ash (outside of the bit where she shoots Udina) is where she says to Tali that there's no need to call her 'Lieutenant Commander'. A nice throwback to how Tali was the only alien on the Normandy that Ashley accepted from the get go.
Guess 'cause Ashley sees Tali somehow like a younger sister.
They both like & respect each other a lot. The connection between both is quite deep and I love it.

How's it possible NOT to love this woman?

That looks more like a tech demo than a deleted scene.
I have to be honest, I had a love/hate relationship with the way they wrote Ashley in ME3. While I liked the latter romance scenes, and felt that Shepard reciting poetry to Ash was the perfect bookend to the relationship for the series, my God did I hate all the freaking hurdles you had to go through to regain her trust.
I get that someone needed to play the role of questioning Shepard's relationship with Cerberus, and actually thought the revelation that the Cerberus troops were husks gave Ash more justification, but they Bioware really should have dropped the subject after Ash came out of a coma. The Gun stand off just left a bad taste in my mouth.
I think it is okay, because it fits Ashley's character. She is all about duty. Going to the military despite knowing she probably wouldn't get very far. She worked hard to be the first Williams to overcome the Williams curse. Then she even gets promoted to Spectre. Imagine how she would have felt if the council died because she didn't do her job.
Ashley actually lowered the gun as Shepard came in but Shepard didn't lower his gun and aimed straight at the Council members.

I believe steve dies if you didn't have the Citadel chats and all that with him, it makes some sense I guess, since he didn't see a real reason to live anymore if Shepard didn't talk with him/make him see he still has reason to live.

Hmm, she looks cute ... a bit waiting for Shepard. Hey, maybe he's showing her his casual Admiral's uniform he got after end of the Reaper War? Without pants?
