I have a question about those 2 films: why in the first shepard says "i love you" to ash, and in the second just says "ash" (after choosong "i love you" option in conversation)? What is the difference?

i belive it depends on wether your shepard is either mainly paragon or renegade

Anyway, sorry. I'm back. Hello guys.
You only get 'I love you' if you've romanced her in the first game and remained loyal I believe.

Edit:
Ah that makes sense. You only get 'I love you' if you've romanced her in the first game and remained loyal I believe.
I only wish Ash romance got further with the commitment if you had been with her since the beginning. Liaras and Tali seem very commital.

No, I cheated on her with Miranda in ME2, and he still says 'I love you'.

I believe the first video is the dialogue you get if you never romanced Ash in ME1, the 2nd video is if you did romance her in ME1.
Notice the change in dialogue at 1:35 2nd video. He talks about how he first met her on Eden Prime. 1st video, he doesn't say that.
So the 2nd video is the best.

Funny you say that considering how she did point a gun at Shepard
Also when I say I'm with Ashley I mean my Shepard not me personally

Funny how a made-up character can provoke such deep emotions. I remember playing ME2 for the first time and going in I was hoping for Ash to have a major part. Oh, I was shattered when Shepard died and Ash was gone, and when she appeared on Horizon, my heart was revived once more only to be broken by this made-up character.
I was so devastated that I almost gave up on the game (which wouldve been stupid cause its the best game ever made). Before the suicide mission, when Shep is staring at the picture on the desk, I got my hopes back, a mad hope, that we would be reunited in the next game. When she then appeared in ME3 I was so happy again I couldnt believe it, she was back.
Later, when the mission on Mars ended I was once again a broken man, helplessy watching Ashley being tossed around like a pillow. Then for one last dazzling moment, when she wanted to join the Normandy crew again, she made me happy again, if only for one last time.... Funny how a made-up character can provoke such deep emotions....

You can if you used gibbed save editor in Mass Effect 2 to have your femshe romance ashley in Mas seffect 1. You won't get Hale-Brooks vocal lines, but the beauty of this speaks for itself.RetasuNeko wrote...
I'm pretty late to the party here, but I have to admit I'm pretty sad my FemShep can't romance Ashley in ME3. She's pretty awesome~! (Liara's awesome too, hence the avatar, but...)

Can't say we've had an awestruck emotional post in a while. (I don't count the fantasizing as such at least) But yes, it is funny how a fictional character can provoke so much emotion.TERASQUE wrote...

In ME1, the VS in general provoked a lot of emotion from me. I sympathized with them. I remember when the Virmire sacrifice came, I was filled rage because I had to make the sacrifice due to Saren's cunning and his Geth minions. I swore I would hunt Saren down to the very end and kill him. Or at the very least, intimidate him to death. All because I had a close bond to Ash and Kaidan for who they were in the game and having to sacrifice either one of them.
In ME2, I was pretty much the same as you, except the thought to give up on the game never crossed my mind. The devastation healed when I read Ash's Horizon Letter and even more so when the "Fight for the Lost LI" scene played before hitting the Omega 4 Relay. Definitely made me fight harder, get that "rage" feeling of adrenaline, and know that I was doing this for Ash and humanity itself.
As for ME3, I'm just going to stop and say that the game did a spectacular job in provoking my emotion. Not just on Ash's part, but the whole team and some of the returning temporary ME2 squaddies. The sacrifices that were made from one-time characters like Lt. Victus to more popular characters like Mordin and Legion provoked saddening emotions that I felt were honorable heroic sacrifices. (Grunt also included, but he can survive as well) As for Ash, I was overjoyed to see Ash and have her back on the team in the opening game. Her questioning Shepard about Cerberus was appropriate, and the moment was redeemed when Shepard stated that he wanted to be with her, and Ash replied, "That's all I needed to hear." And I was as torn as Shepard when EVA bashed Ashley's head against the metal hull plating of the downed shuttle (not to mention that the music was a perfect fit) and how Shepard's first thoughts were to get her to safety. The conversations in the hospital were great as you could reconnect with her and start off on a clean slate again. When the coup attempt was at its climax with Udina and the standoff, it was understandable how she was swayed to believe that Shepard was with Cerberus. I mean, if Shepard just randomly shows up in the middle of an attack and I didn't even know that he did, I would be just as suspicious as Ash was. Yet, I was glad she could be swayed back due to past relationships and the whole trust deal. When she encountered Shepard before he boards the Normandy, I wasted no time in letting her join the Normandy's crew. Even in the midst of all this chaos, there's comedic relief with the Ashley drunk scene in which I couldn't help but laugh when Shepard suggested to "test the fire alarm". Their was time to grieve with the memorial scene, there was time for happiness with the dating scene, there was time for love and tenderness with the amazingly done romance scene, and last of all time the reaffirmation of that love and the final goodbye as they headed off into the final battle to push forward across No-Man's Land to the Conduit. (every squadmate one-on-one goodbye was a success imo as well as the final battle motivation speech) And when the time came to make the "final choice", after choosing destroy and the Joker/Anderson/LI remembrance scenes started playing as Shepard kept shooting, it reminded me that I was doing this for them and that they were the heroes that helped Shepard get to where he is now. It was truly fighting for the lost.
All in all, it is amazing how far character depth, especially the VS's, Garrus's, and Liara's, had become since the beginning of the series and the fact that their actions and responses could easily provoke emotion. Especially for fictional characters.

*on a beach front property.*
Ashley: It's beautiful.
Shepard: Almost. Needs one more bikini'ed babe on the beach, though.
Ashley: You still trying to get me to wear that swimsuit you bought a few months back?
Shepard: Am I that obvious?
Ashley: John.
Shepard: Oh come on. Give me one legitmate reason why you won't wear it. I thought you had no problem showing off your... god given features. 'specially that cute tattoo on your -
Ashley: I won't wear it beacuse it's not the right colour.
Shepard: What's wrong with it?
Ashley: What's wrong is it's not my colour!
Shepard: I reinterated. What's wrong with it?
Ashley: One - It's black and red, those aren't my colours. They're YOURS. Two - it had a tiny N7 on the breast.
Shepard: Yeah, as in property of this N7.
Ashley: What if I got you a pair of blue and white boardshorts and have 'Property of S1' on the groin.
Shepard: If it didn't imply that I prosititute myself to the S1 branch then I would actually be ok with that.
Ashley: ... *faceplam* Just * groan* Get me a blue and white one, with the S1 and the stylized phoenix. Now.
Shepard: .... Mmm... I dunno...
Ashley: You want the contents of your pants intact, don't you?
Shepard: Yes, I do, but if anything happened to Shepard.Jr then this'd turn out to be a very boring relationship.
Ashley: You're digging yourself a grave, Shepard.
Shepard: I know.
Ashley: Get gone.
Shepard: Going. Love you.
Ashley: And for some reason completely beyond comprehension at the moment, I love you too. Don't know how I can stand you sometimes.
Shepard: 'Cause I'm so damn pretty.
